I ordered a platter on December 9. I received notification that it was being shipped on the 11th. It is now the 23rd and I was just informed on the order that I would not be getting it until January 6 to the 15th. They charged me $13 for delivery and could not even get it on the truck Until January 6. When I spoke to the customer service rep, they were unfazed by it all and couldn't really give me any answers. I just received notification today that the delivery will not be made until the sixth through the 15th. I will not be shopping at Williams in Sonoma ever again. Rude staff and weird return policy. I was interested in an espresso machine and I asked about their return policy. They explained I can only return the item if it is unused. I asked what if something is wrong with it or doesn't perform to the standard I expect? Their response was "that's why we provide demos first." I don't remember the last time I've visited a retail store that only allowed you to return unopened items, but forget that. Not worth the risk of dealing with them if something was wrong with the machine. Also, the sales staff kept questioning me if I know what an espresso machine does? Like what? They also asked "if I'm sure I want to use a credit a credit card to purchase this"? There's too much competition with Amazon and other online retailers for me even to consider dealing with a store like this. read more

Beautiful new store at the Evergreen Shopping Center. My family enjoyed browsing the merchandise. My Aunt picked up the bottle of dish wash liquid and saw the price. She quickly put it back and said I'm not paying that much for dish wash. I use Dawn they help the birds. I did use their ladies room. They have their hand soap and lotion in there for customer use. I must say the Pumpkin Spice lotion smelled really good!! I hope this store can sustain itself in this rural area of Connecticut. We drove quite a ways to get there. read more

I bought a box of Green Pans from Williams and Sonoma in South Windsor, Connecticut. They did not last 6 months. The inside started to peel. I did everything right followed all the advice by store, yet I was stuck with a bad box of pans. very disappointed. I would not recommend Green Pans because they fall apart. read more

This location deserves more than just the one 3 star rating. We came in on a Monday night. Pretty quiet. But wanted to take a look at the Verismo and other instant coffee machines. While they were restocking for the night, one of the ladies was more than happy to answer our questions and even showed us the brewing process for several machines. I'm glad we came in since that's how all Williams-Sonoma's should be. read more

Worked with Ann on setting up my bridal registry. They opened the store early for me to have dedicated time before the holiday rush. Ann is so knowledgeable about every department. She knows the products so we'll it was easy to be an informed buyer. Appreciated her tips from what she has at home and what has chipped versus what has lasted. She was very nice and patient. I would go to that store again just to work with her whenever I have questions about what I am buying. read more

I handed the salesperson the pan I wanted to buy. She went to the stockroom and brought one in a box to the register. I discovered on returning home that she sold me a different pan than the one I gave her. When I called I was told they did not have the pan I wanted in stock, and that I would have to buy it online and return the wrong pan for credit. When I suggested they order it and have it delivered to the store, I was put on hold for a few minutes. Sorry, she said, we can't do that. I then suggested they sell me the display model. I was put on hold, this time for so long I hung up and called back. Sorry, she said, we can't do that. I pointed out that they were asking me to buy the pan a second time to solve their mistake. Sorry, she said, our system doesn't allow us to sell you the display model or order one for you. I asked to speak to the manager. Again, I am put on hold for minutes. This is a Monday morning, when the store is not busy. After I pointed out that the only reason people shop in brick-and-mortar stores instead of Amazon is for the service, the manager agreed to exchange the incorrect pan for the display model. When I returned to make the exchange (my time and expense) I was told I owed a $15 balance. The 20% discount had fallen out of the transaction. The cashier called the manager for help. The manager was typing into her calculator and told the cashier to wait, oblivious to the fact she was trying to solve a problem for a customer, me. It's not enough to be nice, which the W-S staff were. Customers should be helped promptly without excuses about 'the system,' especially if a salesperson created the problem in the first place. read more

The customer service I've received within the last 6 months was over and above. I had a problem with frozen credit (i'd been hacked) and they worked with me to get the discount promised. I can't complain. read more

its a williams sonoma. if you dont want to order the stuff online just go to the store. this one is always busy when we are here, and they get a little crowded but it has never really slowed down our getting in, getting our stuff and checking out process. friendly staff. parking at evergreen around the holidays can be a painful experience. read more

I bought two fairly large items at this store in the past few months. The first was a Nespresso machine. The store clerk didn't know anything about the machine and could barely even find it on the shelf - she was of no help whatsoever. I recently bought a waffle maker - same experience. The sales person couldn't find it on the shelf and again knew absolutely nothing about it and gave me the wrong answer on how it worked. She was about to overcharge me for it but I pointed out to her the sales price on the internet. The store has high end products but the sales people appear to be completely unfamiliar with the merchandise and untrained.. This store could be a poster child for why brick and mortar stores are being replaced by the internet. If you cant get assistance in a store like this - it's not Sears or Bed Bath and Beyond! then just go elsewhere. read more

Today, Chris helped me quickly and efficiently. She was so kind and helpful. I also noticed lots of other employees helping people coming into the store. I've never had the same service from west elm in west hartford or any of the pottery barn stores like I have at williams sonoma. Thanks for saving me from more wedding headaches Chris! Beware, WS had a system outage that charged both my debit and credit card for the same transaction I paid cash for, so without my permission they withdrew money from my checking account and also charged my credit card so I paid 3 times for the same transaction. It has been over three weeks and WS has not resolved this issue even though all the docs were provided several times and they agreed they had the outage. I am the only one working to resolve this with NO help from WS, they have billions but won't expedite the return of my $95 dollars! I will never shop there again. read more
