LOVE LOVE LOVE Williamson County Animal Hospital. The front desk team is so happy and attentive which carries throughout the hospital. Dr. Barrett received my dog who basically was in the process of passing. She brought her back to life. I've had great experiences with all of the doctors. I love that it's walk-in however, expect to wait. It is in the order you arrive unless it's a true emergency. I never mind waiting because of the overall experience they provide. They have a great check in system. You can choose to wait in your car and be notified via text when it's your turn.

I love this place and their dedication to the well being of our pets. We are so lucky to live in a city where a veterinary clinic like this can be available to the community at large. The doctors are highly skilled, open and collaborative. The staff are friendly and caring on the phone, in the waiting room, at check out, during the visit, and in the pharmacy. They saved my Goldendoodle many years ago when he was attacked by another dog and had a life threatening injury to his jugular vein. I now have a cat with anemia, which has been challenging to diagnose and requires frequent visits and coordination with specialists. I never feel like a burden nor do I ever feel like I'm overcharged for their services. Thank you Dr Reynolds and team for everything you do for pets and the owners that love them.

Honking breathing in the car - so glad I'm feeling better!!

Yesterday was really hard day for my husband and I. We lost our Avie girl (9yo Boston Terrier) in May 2020. She was perfectly fine and healthy and one night she seemed to have a little weird congestion but everything (pee/poop/eat/drink/energy) was normal, so I wasn't concerned. The next day she passed away, and it was traumatic to say the least. So, we just got a baby boston on Thursday of last week (we have had her 6 days). We haven't even been taking her outside b/c she's so little and her face is so smooooshed and the breeder said pneumonia is possible and to refrain from outside for another 4 weeks if possible. So yesterday mid afternoon baby started a honking/breathing and we were terrified. I wanted to find a vet that we could go in with her. I really didn't want to be separated. Thank goodness we found this as an option. It's first come first serve and also so grateful they weren't too busy, we waited in our car maybe 20 mins maybe less before we were able to be seen. We saw Dr. Barrett and so thankful for her! She was knowledgable, caring, calming, direct, and patient with me (I'm the worst patient b/c I work in the medical field) lol. Our new baby just had an upper respiratory infection, and she's brachycephalic. We have had 2 doses of antibiotics and can tell she's feeling SO MUCH BETTER. WE ARE THANKFUL! Thank you Dr. Barrett!! Also quick note: I didn't feel at all like this is the place to nickel and dime you. Pretty rare to find these days. ** Instagram: @earnestlyindigo

A Difficult Experience During a Painful Time…read more Losing a pet is incredibly hard, and when we faced the sudden decline of our beloved four-legged family member a year ago, we were emotionally vulnerable. Our regular vet recommended NVS when our senior dog suddenly couldn't move and was in obvious distress. We share this backstory to highlight our state of mind during our visit. After the initial exam, we were told our dog's condition could be terminal cancer or something else entirely, requiring surgery and tests for a definitive diagnosis. When we pressed for a prognosis, we received vague answers: days or weeks if it was terminal cancer, possibly years if it was something else. Given her advanced age, we questioned if putting her through surgery was truly in her best interest, and even asked about euthanasia, but received little guidance. The most jarring moment came when the surgeon, called in specially, told us, "I can give you five minutes to decide on the surgery. Then I leave" This comment, more than anything, shifted our focus from our pet's well-being to the surgeon's impatience. It left a lasting negative impression during an already agonizing decision-making process. Despite the uncertainty, and given less than ten minutes total to decide, we opted for surgery. The outcome was the worst-case scenario: terminal cancer. She might have weeks, maybe a few months. Ironically, the same surgeon who showed little empathy earlier offered the most poignant advice: "Be as present with her as you can." This, too, has stayed with us. During this stressful time, the discussion of costs arose. Over the phone, we were quoted upwards of $7,000, with an itemized breakdown including the initial exam, surgeon's consult, and surgical costs. We painstakingly confirmed the grand total multiple times, even writing it down for our records, as we were not at our best. We were told complications might make this go higher, but we would be called beforehand. At the end ended up around 10 thousand plus. There was no call. However, upon picking up our dog post-op, the bill was significantly higher. We were told we had "misheard" or "misunderstood," which we firmly disagreed with. They claimed the calls were recorded and they would listen back, leading us to believe the discrepancy would be resolved. We paid the inflated amount to take our dog home, but despite numerous follow-up calls, we never received a response or resolution regarding the overcharge. Our precious and loyal furbaby passed away just three weeks after the surgery. Now, with some distance, we can reflect on our experience. While we cannot blame NVS for her terminal condition, the overall lack of empathy and care shown towards both our pet and us during such a vulnerable time, coupled with the billing issue and subsequent unresponsiveness, lack oh empathy makes it impossible for us to recommend their services. One more thing the people at the front desk are just rude and cold with no c We still not hear from anyone to do a follow up on Torry and this means they don't care and just to hear their name make me sick. At the end of the day this place could and should be more understanding, emphatetic of the hard time when we deal with the health of our family members but for them is only money signs and like my grandmother used to say " actions speak Lauder then words? in this case no word nor actions.

We have a difficult people aggressive dog who has to be sedated for any exams and treatments. We were not shell shocked with the price as we have had to utilize emergency services in the past. We are also not naive as dog owners and are well versed in rescue, fostering, and multibreed dog ownership. The veterinarian took FOREVER to actually make an appearance and when she did, she was clueless. The technicians were completely disconnected and lacked any empathy. We were essentially laughed at and told "he has an expensive stomach ache" after spending almost 6 hours at their hospital and almost $2000. His symptoms continued throughout the entire night after we were discharged home with zero advice and zero treatment recommendations. I am a physician, so not a veterinarian, but do have medical knowledge enough to know when something needs an emergency evaluation. We followed up with our primary vet the next morning and the records and images were obtained from Blue Pearl who completely blew us off and we were sent from our primary vet to Nashville Veterinary Specialists for ultrasounds and more imaging because what we were told was "normal" imaging from Blue Pearl was in fact NOT "normal" imaging. AND where the technician gave my dog his sedative injection in the back of his leg he developed a large hematoma which I have photos of and can provide if needed. He also had cuts on his foot where he was shaved by the staff I'm assuming for blood pressure monitoring. I am grateful to my primary vet for being attentive and working us in the following morning and to NVS who paid attention, did an appropriate work up, and gave us a treatment plan and this is where we will visit going forward if emergency services are needed.
