We just moved here from out of state and had not established medical care for our furry babies. Of course, my precious boy, Jax, began having a issue with swollen anal glands. Poor guy... I took my daughter's cat in because he was not eating. After they assessed him they wanted us to do a $400 test to see if he had something wrong with his stomach. We decided not to do it and the doctors seemed upset about our decision. We took the cat home and then noticed that he had massive amounts of crust in his ears and sores on his feet. We did not notice this before, so I called the vet and they told us to bring him back in. Upon returning they said that they could do nothing about the crusty ears or sores on his feet, which, sadly, we found out later it was an autoimmune disease. They either missed this, I am not sure how, or they ignored telling us about this ailment in order to charge us for an expensive procedure. Clearly, this cat was not eating due to these autoimmune issues. The doctor was also very rude about us bringing the cat back in. read more

Will never go back. Brought my dog to affordable vet care for 2 bad rips in his paw. They cared about my baby enough to protect his foot from bleeding and to wrap it. Blue pearl wanted to charge 500 dollars to wrap his foot, this easily could of been done by just holding my puppy down. My mother and I had to re wrap it easily by ourselves with old tape from affordable vet care that blue pearl gave back to us. They quoted me on stitches that I could not afford. However trying to charge $500 for a wrapping of a foot is not reasonable Never will go back at least affordable vet care is kind enough to try to protect his paw. This picture shows the amount of blood his paw has and they gave him back to me bleeding. Very disrespectful and will not ever return. $130 dollars for them to look at it and not Re bandage. read more

The only thing good is they got us right in. It was not a good experience will never take a pet back to them . They did the exam and blood work and had no answer. Wanted to do more test. Said he had a intestine infection or cancer. Sent us home with a antibiotic. $564. Dollar later. Still not better almost a week later.got him into his vet and they tested his poop and found out he had wipe worm .a easy fix but instead I was so over charged and my poor baby suffered even longer. And the vet was in and out and not very personal or friendly just like she is there for the money they over charge people. read more

This is based on two visits. Also, their lower rating is because they are not totally up on the breed specific needs of a greyhound. It is like visiting a human emergency room. They will save the critical, but other stuff still needs a doctor who is familiar with the animal. Don't get me wrong. The two times we used their services have been late evening, when normal vets are closed. While they have not been a life saver, they have been a God-send for the peace of mind. On visit one, our hound rubbed her eye with her paw. We called. They said that if a dog EVER touches their eye, it is an emergency. They correctly diagnosed Pannus and our doggie is under long term care for it. Visit two was brought on by the fact that our little hound could not put weight on her fore-paw. We laid her down and found two puncture wounds on her paw. We knew we could not handle it and were wary of hidden injury such as debris or a broken bone. They treated her and did a thorough evaluation. They sent her home with a dressed wound, cone of shame, three meds and a complete written evaluation. They forwarded their findings to her regular vet. Her regular vet found the wound was bound too tight and the drug doses on some meds were too high. It is expensive at the emergency clinic. Before seeing her, they demanded a $1,000 credit card punch to cover costs. The total bill was $637. They promised a refund "in the near future". Doggie is fine. Pet momma is happy. Our ten year old house dog Bubbles developed severe vomiting and diarrhea over Labor Day weekend. With nowhere else to go, we took her to Nashville Pet Emergency Clinic in the middle of the night. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis and admitted into the clinic for treatment. Over the weekend I visited several times and was impressed with the level of care and attention she received. We almost lost Bubbles, but I'm convinced that she would not be with us today if it weren't for the exceptional care she received at Nashville Pet Emergency Clinic. They kept us well-informed, allowed us to visit whenever we wanted, and showed a level of concern and attention that I had never seen before. I would love to find a regular veterinary clinic with this level of professionalism and compassion. read more

Frustrating levels of incompetence with little to no concern for running and Emergency clinic. We called ahead from another Vet hospital for immediate support for DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis). We arrived at 7PM and waited 5 minutes until we were buzzed in the door. We reminded the receptionist that we called ahead for this and had arrived for this URGENT matter. Unimpressed, she asked us to wait. As we waited we witnessed a dog with a UTI urinate blood on the floor that went uncleaned for over 2 hours. This dog was seen brought in to be seen before a critical patient. In addition, the doctor was pulled away twice to explain x-rays on a non-critical case to the owner and then to the owner and his wife. Not how to triage. Still waiting.....A cat came in and was brought back to have their glucose level checked before a DKA dog would be seen. Completely asinine. The staff was inconsiderate and unprofessional. I would not reccomend anyone bring their pets here, especially not for an emergency. ***UPDATE after 'response' Christy - How could any member of the Blue Pearl team know what the "vital signs" were? No one took the time to look at the pet even after another vet called providing the valuable medical information. That is part of the core issue - there was NO TRIAGE and the hospital was not performing emergency care. Are you telling me a UTI is more critical then a DKA dog? If you read the initial review you would have a better idea of the issue before providing a generic response. I have no need to discuss with you or your "team directly." The pup passed away after trying to get support at your "emergency clinic." I also do not think it will make any difference considering your initial reply and complete lack of support while waiting for 2 hours at the hospital. read more

As soon as I started to open the door the receptionist came and opened it for me. She asked why I was there and put us right in a room. It wasn't 2 minutes before the vet tech came in and found out our problem. They took my dog back, found out the problem, brought her back and told me what they could do for her. The vet and technician fully explained everything and got an estimate as to what it would cost low end/high end. The vet told me she could be conservative on the treatment or could sedate her and take care of it all today. I opted to have everything done that day. The prices were very affordable for an emergency animal hospital. We were there for about an hour and a half. My dog had a ruptured anal gland and she was sedated and had the gland flushed out. The girls there did not try to pressure you in to anything extra. The end price was exactly what they said it would be and they went over the follow up care. They also sent me home with the treatment notes as to what was done to give to my vet. If they would see my dog for all her needs I would totally go there for everything!! read more

My 4.5 year old Chihuahua, Rocco, was having some kind of a reaction to something. His eyes were red and draining. He was licking obsessively and breathing funny. He started rubbing his eyes aggressively. After about an hour, I decided he needed to see a vet. At 9pm, The Murfreesboro Pet Emergency Clinic was the only place close-by that was open. I called and they suggested I bring him in. Dr. Prevost and the staff were very friendly. They took great care of Rocco. He was treated with Benadryl and a steroid shot. We waited to see if he had a positive response to the treatment since I was unable to identify what happened to provoke the behavior. I had to take my dog to get emergency vet care in the very early morning hours of Wednesday, Jan. 20 and I chose to go to BluePearl Pet Hospital on NW Broad St in Murfreesboro, initially because they were the closest emergency vet open at the time. The veterinarian, Jennifer Yates and her staff were very helpful and examined my precious fur baby right away. I was not able to go into the hospital, due to Covid-19 protocols that are in place (which I totally understood), so I waited in the car while my baby was examined. The vet called me on my cell phone and told me all that she discovered during the exam, what the suggested treatment was and the costs involved. I was provided with a printed treatment plan and payment receipt and my dog was brought to the car for me. The staff was very nice and professional and I really appreciated it. I arrived at 7:50pm with my pup, they did her vitals immediately and we waited in the car for a room (because my dog doesn't like other female dogs), they told me it would only be a few minutes. I watched rooms open up as I was in my car. 2 hours after we went back to my car , I got a call saying a room was ready. We go back and they bring my dog back for an exam. They bring my pup back and the vet came back to room and was fairly rude to me. The vet techs were very nice though. After the vet talking to me and seeing videos of what my dog was doing prior to finally getting in a room I was basically told it was my fault because my dog missed one dose of her medicine (which she missed 5 days prior to last night). She asked if I wanted to do bloodwork but didn't recommend it because they would just be "guessing" at what was wrong with her. Overall I got charged $135 for no answer. I then got sent the "review" of what they came up with, my normal vet received this as well and a majority of the information in it was false and never said to the vet. Also when I brought my dog out to the car I had to pick her up and I noticed blood on my hand so I checked my pup out and notice there was blood on her neck, but if blood work was never done why would there be blood on my dog? I thought maybe from another dog that was in the vet but even then there shouldn't be blood on my dog when she was not bleeding when I brought her into the vet. (Also didn't even use her name, but a different name similar to my dogs) read more

We took our 12 year old cat who has lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy in on Friday night. (Our regular vet was closed for the holiday weekend). Our cat hadn't been eating or drinking and we took her in for fluid therapy. We saw Dr. Prevost and his vet tech Gavin. They were AMAZING with both us and our sweet kitty! They gave Callie fluids and an appetite stimulant. They actually had her eating food before we left! The service was amazing from beginning to end. We really weren't there long and the bill was MUCH cheaper than I thought it'd be. Although this clinic is about 30-40 minutes from our home and there are ones much closer, we will definitely only consider this clinic for all of our pet emergencies! read more

I received a sympathy card today saying how sorry they were about Tyler's passing.First-He is gone almost a month,a little late for a card now.Second-If they had shown any sympathy for him on June 27th.,He wouldn't have been ice cold, and unresponsive when they brought him to me to be put down.I regret every bringing him to this facility. They are going to mail his ashes to me tomorrow because I don't want to go anywhere near the place.I had Tyler for 14 years and the vets I have taken him to always treated him kindly no matter what was wrong.I feel this facility is all about the money.They take more animals than they have the staff for.So something has to suffer.They have a new manager who is going to look into what happened to Tyler that night and why I wasn't called when his ashes came in.I want answers why he was forgotten about that night and was not attended to sooner.I have never written a negative review before but I keep remembering how cold he felt and that he didn't even realize I was with him at the end.I would think twice about bringing your pet here.No animal should be treated the way Tyler was. read more

I had a bad experience with the NASHVILLE branch just a few days earlier with another per so I was very concerned. Had an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE with the Murfreesboro office. Let me just say... If you're short on money and your dog is actually having a problem, find somewhere else. We brought our 3-5 year old pug in when she had a seizure. She seemed like she was doing fine but we were scared out of our minds and decided it would be a good idea to at least bring her in to be looked at. They gave us paperwork with a lot of pointless questions (like "how did you find out about us") which I found a little weird for an EMERGENCY clinic. But eventually they decided she was fine (after 80 bucks worth of basic examination) but also tried to convince us it could happen again because of some blood problems. We already knew it was because of something we fed her so we weren't really buying into it, but we asked for an estimate anyway. They went back and got an estimate for bloodwork and it ended up being $260. Needless to say, we immediately declined and brought our dog home. If your dog actually needs medical attention, I really don't think this place would be of much help. It was extremely understaffed at 9pm and the staff that was available didn't really seem in a rush for anyone. When we were leaving this girl brought in her dog that she said was poisoned and they attempted to convince her to spend $750 as a base price. She basically started crying over it and they continued to push it. I understand you have to get money but if a dog is dying, you could give them a little bit of time. read more
