Dr. Workman assumed the practice a couple of years ago, in what appeared to be a seamless transition. The staff had little-to-no turnover, which speaks volumes to their level of confidence in this newcomer. We haven't had a great deal of dental work done, save for a lone cavity and regular cleanings and check-ups. Every visit is a pleasure and we truly appreciate the care and consideration we receive.

I put my faith in him to provide me competent and professional dental care. As it turned out out that was not the case and what he did to me I class as fraud. During the period that he was my "dentist" it became necessary to have two crowns done. having had them made, installed and paid for I later found that he had reinstalled the temporary crowns and deceptively told me that they were the permanent crowns. When I discovered this I attempted to contact Dr. Rodenberg only to discover that he had his dental license revoked in the state of Illinois. It is my understanding that there were many patients that were defrauded and whose dental health was endangered as I was. It was necessary for me to have the crowns replaced at significant additional expense to me. As a dentist he violated his professional oath and my trust as his patient. If I could give him less than one star and have it registered I would do so.

I have a big fear of the dentist and I spent my first few consultations crying in his chair. The whole staff was so gracious and patient with me. My teeth were not nearly as bad as I thought but the scars from childhood scared me anyway from being able to just go to the dentist and not worry about it. Dr. Leppo made me feel as though I mattered and that he understood my fear. He made it possible for me to get my teeth back in order and I am so grateful. Now I look forward to going to the dentist even though there is still some fear there because I know I am in good hands and that he is going to take care of me! In the past I would have food get stuck between my teeth where the crowns were, but Dr. Akins fixed that issue. I was having to floss 3 times a day for years and now I only do it once a day at night. They explain every single procedure to me and show me the cavities on the X-rays. They have gained my trust. My children also have had great experiences at this office.

This office was able to get us in very quickly, placed a crown on her front tooth. The staff did such a great job comforting my daughter, keeping her calm. I called Southern Illinois Pediatric dentist and the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. They were able to get us in the next day. The hygienists and dentist were fantastic working with a 12 month old. I'm sure that filing down a tooth on a baby is similar to wrangling a cat. They educated us in what we would need to look out for as she got older. We've been back twice since then for cleanings, and I have been impressed with the office and medical staff every time. We moved further away from Columbia but we'll continue to drive the distance to stay with the practice.
