This is by far my current favorite stop along the Sunny Slope Wine Trail. I get to check out the Idaho wine scene once every few years due to family in the area. On my last trip this past December, my aunt rented us a private limo bus from Idaho Towncar and we stopped at the lovely Williamson to taste. The first thing I did when I hopped out of the limo bus was take a few snapshots of the gorgeous orchards and vineyard, both of which were lightly dusted with fresh snowfall. It was a moment. Yes. Anyhoo. Once inside, I was welcomed by the folks at the tasting counter, where my family were already getting to work on the long tasting menu. We tasted a Sangiovese here that was fruit forward perfection with a gorgeous garnet hue, and at less than $20! I brought a bottle all the way back and have yet to open it. Perhaps I'm saving it for a special occasion with the fella, because it's a special wine with a lovely memory attached. Everything I tasted at Williamson I very much enjoyed. There wasn't even one so-so varietal. I recommend the Syrah, Harvest Moon Red, and the Reserve Cabernet in addition to the apple of my eye, Sangiovese. Even as a long-time, faithful fan of both Koenig and Ste. Chapelle, I would have to say I recommend Williamson as on par with both of them and definitely worth a stop if you're in the Caldwell area tasting. Don't skip out on this five star location! Warm hospitality was another reason they stood out to me and the rest of the fam. My cousins were dead bored and sitting at a table looking at YouTube videos *mostly* quietly and I felt that we were all welcomed equally. No looks or comments about the younglings were given. I loved Williamson Orchards & Vineyard and will be back on my next visit to the Sunny Slope! Website: http://www.willorch.com Parking: Small to medium lot

My family and I came to pick cherries and apricots July 2022 at Williamson Orchards. Fairly easy to find, almost in Marsing, you pay per bucket and can pick as much as you want. There was plenty of apricots and cherries on the trees! The workers at the entrance advised us to go down the hill a bit, and trees were packed full in the area we went. We were given permission to eat as much as we wanted while picking, and we certainly got our money's worth between the six of us! It may not be cheap but it's more about the experience than getting a deal, a lot of fun with little kids. I highly recommend them!

Stopped here on a lovely wine tour day. This was our first stop so we were all amped up! Walk into the the wine tasting area, and its very country/cutely decorated. They have coolers with different cheeses, chilled wines available to purchase. There is also crackers, chocolates and more. We decided to basically build our own charcuterie board to enjoy while we sipped wine! This is fun!!! We grabbed a table outside (tall with stools) that was a little wobbly on the grass, but they had other tables/chairs on the cement, too. There was a mini corn hole game set up in the grass! That's a fun touch! I really appreciated the way Steve & Joyce brought out the wines. Tho it was a S L O W pace, they were informational and told us a bit of the Williamson family history. This is important to me on a wine tasting stop! I want to learn about the grapes, the barrels, and the family story. Our table's favorite was the 2018 Windmill Red. I think I will wait a year or so to open it. I think with a little bit more maturing it will really be a knock out red! without trying I also bought a bottle of the Nectar - for $14, why not! It's a sweet dessert wine, and I'm excited to try it! Go for the snacks! Stay for the Wine! Play corn hole! Great job Williamson, we will be back!

Stopped at this winery on our tour of Idaho. The price was reasonable and the winds were good. We sat outside. Social distancing procedures were in place. The service was rather slow. We had to go inside to get our bill when we were done. But the location is beautiful the scenery is wonderful was sipping wine. They have some small offerings for food.

It is bittersweet. Things change. Family owned, fourth generation run Williamson's Orchards which started as farm in 1909 then became Williamson's Orchards & Vineyards in about 2001 has changed focus as of 2016 to solely grape growing and wine making. They closed their orchard fruit stand, which had been open since the 1960's, and as a matter of ongoing viability for the business shifted to grape growing and wine making. (See excellent Statesman article link below if you want to know more.) In addition to closing the orchard stand, the wine tasting room has moved to a brand new space on Sunnyslope Road, which I visited for the first time yesterday. An update is needed to my previous review which was for the fruit stand and old wine tasting location. By and large, any reviews written prior to late 2016 are for a facility that no longer exists. At time of my first review, in 2013, was when I was a visitor to Boise I was a fan of Williamson's produce, wine, and the nice people who worked there. As I write this review, my husband and I have been living in the Boise area for three years and when Willliamson announced last year that they were closing the produce stand, well, that is the bitter part. We grieved the loss of that tradition and tasty treasures. But now to the sweet part of this review because Williamson's really good wine just keeps getting better with each vintage released and the new tasting facility is better than ever. VIBE The new asting room is charming and shows family pride in their roots. They've honored their heritage by installing the windmill from the original farm on the front of the new building. Farm implements and beautiful family quilts adorn the inside walls. There is a long tasting bar, a couple of 'stand at' height small tables and a wood top propped on wine barrels with a couple of high stools. They have not included any standard height tables and in our talk with the hostess at the tasting room she said it had been brought to their attention that they needed to include them. (The 1990 Civil Rights Law ADA requires this equal access. Nothing in law says you must provide tables for your customers. But it says IF you provide tables for customers THEN you must provide some tables that are usable by all customers including those who can't boost themselves on high stools or stand to use them.). TASTING 'DRILL' & WINES Very friendly hostess who walked us through the tasting drill of $5 fee to taste five wines from the assortment and available that day. The fee is refunded with a purchase of two bottles. (Bottle prices are in the $20 "minus" for whites and $20 - $25 range, approximately, for reds.) Williamson uses all local grapes for their wines, in fact all their wines may use estate grown grapes but I keep forgetting to ask that question. We enjoy all of Williamson's wines, in particular their Homestead Red (50/50 Cab /Syrah), Petite Sirah and Port-style Doce, but yesterday our choice was a couple of bottles of Harvest Moon, a Rhone 'ish' varietals red blend that we thought was excellent and in French fashion had a little Viognier added in minority spot in the blend . And if you know a Wine Club member see if they'll share with you the Williamson Blossom 2015 Rose. I am not (as in NOT) a fan of Rose, but the 2015 is really delightful and were it not a club members only purchase, I would have bought some. They were also sampling locally made apricot-habenaro jam and sold other local products, including more jam flavors by this same Nampa based maker. We bought some of that too. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Gravel lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: One paved, van accessible, ADA compliant parking spot near the front door. Level in and throughout the space. The loo (two) are accessible. Seating is not. Inexcusable given the ADA is 27 years old. They need to fix this. 3) EVENTS: They are building an event space in the house next door to the tasting room. Events held in tasting room now include third Wednesday of the month evening wine and cheese pairing with @ $10 fee for non members, $5 for members. 4) RECOMMENDED FRUIT STAND: The Williamson's are referring those of us who loved their fruit stand at the old farm to Lakeview Fruit on Karcher Road in Caldwell. So you know. 5) NEWS ARTICLE: A Statesman reporter wrote this excellent piece about Williamson if you want to now more about the history of this great family business. http://www.idahostatesman.com/news/business/article132550244.html

Wine was good, especially the cabernet. The tasting room was quaint with family memorabilia, set in beautiful countryside.

The older lady in black was a bit snarky but the rest of the staff were really nice. The views are amazing and there is a lot of seating in the sun. Wish there were more shade structures. It would be nicer if there were less loud children running around. Or bring well behaved ones. I'm ok with that. Ha ha We brought our own charcuterie with ice packs and borrowed one of their fly fans. Wished I brought a big brimmed hat for the sun.

I don't really like to "eat healthy"," but I'm not against it. When I saw the menu, I didn't really see anything that stood out to me, but I went for the chorizo and ordered a few apps for the table. The apps knocked my socks off. For apps, we got the bread, salad, and spinach dip. The bread was so good and you could taste the quality. And the spreads (maple and garlic) were amazing. Same goes for the salad and the dip, I never tasted delicious kale before. The entree was a generous portion of chorizo, egg, and something else I wasn't sure, but tasted like a healthy rice. All in all, I loved everything about the food and the farm is nice to stroll around and let the kids check out as well (they have sheep greeting you as you pull into the parking lot). I will say, the prices are a little on the higher end of what I anticipated, but it's all justified with the taste and knowing everything is directly from farm to table. Plus, the wait staff was super friendly and the facilities are really clean. 5/5 all around.
