My wife and I had a great time at Ste. Chapelle. We went for a Sunday afternoon wine tasting and took a couple of excellent wines home. The vibe was European from the building architecture to the rolling hills. The view was beautiful. It looked over the valley and vineyards. The selection of wines was exceptional with choices for many palates. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and prompt with our orders. All in all a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Our afternoon at Ste. Chapelle Winery was wonderful! The friendly atmosphere, the incredible view, and the sense of being able to just sit back, relax, and take it all in is priceless. You apparently need a table reservation because it gets very busy, but we took a chance and were seated in a few minutes due to a cancellation. Most tables had large groups for gatherings, there was even a bridal shower there, but we were just three. We each picked a different wine flight to try and share, along with a cheese board that was just right for us. Even our puppy was given special attention by the staff as he was able to sit with us on the porch. It's a definite must do if you're just visiting, and I would be a regular customer if I lived in the area. read more

Ste.Chapelle Winery is a beautiful winery and it's my go to when family comes from out of town. The views are stunning any time of day or year. The staff is very knowledgeable about their wines and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The appetizers pair nicely with the wines. We will get the charcuterie board and an order of their pretzels. We had a wonderful experience! We went to Ste. Chapelle twice. To their Wine After Hours event and had a tasting the following day. The after-hours event was held outside, and the area was clean. For the tasting, we reserved a table ahead of time online. Our waiter, Bryan, was amazing! He was very detailed in going over the different flight options. We briefly mentioned we were celebrating a few birthdays and future birthdays, and he sent out some treats for us, which was so nice! I got the slushie flight, a few small plates, and everything was delicious! We had such a great experience here, and hope we can come celebrate our next event here! read more

A beautiful spot with good service and delicious wine. The picturesque Chapelle is tucked into the hill overlooking the valley. There is another winery just down the slope that we started our afternoon with. Then we walked up to Ste. Chapelle. It was a scenic walk that didn't take too long, although you could also drive up as well. There's an outdoor stage area halfway up that was hosting a private party that afternoon. We were greeted by a sign asking us to be patient due to understaffing. The wait actually wasn't too long. The view from the outdoor patio is likely amazing; we chose to sit indoors. We split the Panoramic Idaho flight which consisted of the Panoramic Chardonnay, Panoramic Savignon Blanc, Panoramic Malbec, and Panoramic Cabernet Franc. Our favorite was the Cabernet Franc as it was very smooth and drinkable. But all of them were good. The Chardonnay was buttery, the Savignon was refreshing and fruity, and the Malbec was full bodied with a subtle flavor that was almost like licorice. The kitchen was closed as we arrived shortly before closing, but they gave us complimentary kettle chips. I would definitely come back to try their other wine. read more

This place is breathtaking. Flew into Boise on a Sunday morning and drove out here with my coworkers. This was the first stop of many, and was my personal favorite. Beautiful views, food, and booze. The tasting room is very upscale. You are offered a variety of different flights to try. We had one that was misting whites and one with reds. The whites were are good. Not great. However is you like sweet wine, the Soft Huckleberry is to die for. It well balanced and would be easy to drink an entire bottle in a hot day. I found all their wines high on the acid side especially their red. They offer some appetizer platters to accompany their wine flights. I would highly recommend a cheese platter to accompany their wine, especially their reds. I think their red would pair nicely with cheese. There wine are reasonably price and some are available in local grocery store. For instance I found their Riesling at WinCo. read more

My friend took us to a couple of wineries and this was the first stop. Was very impressed by our server and her recommendations as well as the wine tasting menu that was 8.00 per person for five flights. Views are beautiful as well (too bad the weather was cold and windy). Don't forget to sample the chocolates from a local vendor on site (forgot her name). Things have changed here since my last review.....We visited here Memorial Day. We had made reservations 4 days before our visit. There were several empty tables upstairs but only one table near the windows with a view. We asked to sit by the window. The guy working up there said he would seat us there but if other customers came when we were there he would have to move us. We ordered 2 flights and chocolates. Our chocolates were Kit Kats and Reese's peanut butter cups....kind of felt after spending 18.00 dollars per tasting flight we maybe could have been treated a little better. A Winery with a view of the valley, Ste. Chapelle is absolutely gorgeous and a favorite stop on the Sunny Slope Wine Trail when I'm in Idaho. Chapelle stand out(along with quality wines of course) is that most of their labels showcase picturesque Idaho landscapes, and their magnificent view from the tasting room is a stunning example that fits this theme. The last time I was in, the Love Idaho Series bottle labels caught my eye. As far as taste goes, the Rosé and the Red Blend were my favorites of them all. Classic Musts in my little opinion are the: Snake River Valley Cab Snake River Valley Gem State Red Blend Panoramic Idaho Malbec Red Blends here are anything but boring and basic. Theirs are some of my favorites. I love this place. Definitely make it a priority if you're wine tasting in the area, especially if you're an ambiance person like I admittedly am. Amazing menu, the fruit flight gave me so many options and usually i'm a huckleberry wine gal so to find out I loved blueberry and strawberry as well was such a nice surprise. service was amazing!!! one of the bussers/cooks asked us what we were doing for the day and we told them it was our 2 year anniversary and not even 10 minutes later he came out with a cute little cake that said happy two years :') it genuinely brought me to tears. First of all, just driving to the winery offers your senses amazing impulses ... it's calm and beautiful. Once you get there, the grounds are well kept and inviting. Now to the good part .... the wines !! I can't say I liked everyone we tasted, because i don't like sweet, but the 7 or 8 different varieties we tried, were awesome. The flavors and notes rivaled the most notable wines across the country, with emphasis on Napa/Sonoma varieties. We were thrilled with the taste of so many ... and the charcuterie board was extremely satisfying. The real rock stars were Kim and Holly, our servers. If I was a business owner and wanted an A Team to be representing my business, this would be the team !!! So friendly, accommodating, customer oriented, and sincere .... rekindles the spark of what service should be in this country. One thing I love about this winery is the location, as far as winery is Caldwell is has one of the best views. Service was overall good until they forgot to bring us the charcuterie board. At checkout I did mention that they had forgotten and the waiter made it right. She did not question who had done and simply gave us one to go, that alone speaks very highly of this winery. My husband and I drove from Boise to try this winery. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the red blend wine we purchased was priced quite fair. such a beautiful winery and I love the grounds in general. it's kind of a hike to get up the hill to get here, but it works off some of the wine, right? the wine is good here but I would say it's a little pricey considering I usually get the rosè and it's the same kind they sell at the grocery store for $10. you'd think since you're at the winery it would be cheaper but oh well. i'm paying the $9 a glass. the charcuteries here are also really yummy and I recommend them, even though you are allowed to bring your own food. come when the weather is nice and sit on the big wood deck overlooking the beautiful idaho wine country. it doesn't get any better than that, honestly. I don't recommend sitting inside. the tables are small and awkward and it's hard to say anything on them. read more

The service is horrible and wine is mediocre at best. We have been coming to St. Chapelle for years and it appears that it has only continued to go downhill after being purchased by a large wine conglomerate based out of Washington. The staff is composed of part time teenagers who know nothing about the wine they are serving. Most are on their phones, wearing gym shorts and have no desire to be there. When the most you can tell a customer about a wine is that "it's a red", you know there's a problem. Not only is the service poor, but the quality of wine has also suffered. Most bottles are right around $45 are not worth anywhere near that. It's a shame to see what has happened to Ste. Chapelle, and I would recommend other wineries in the valley! read more
