Bread with rotating butter and potato fingerlings with delicious cheese dip.

I love peaceful belly. The food is absolutely stellar, the rotating menu keeps things interesting, and it is always so fresh and flavorful! The ciders are so tasty, and their tea service is beautiful and fun. We always stop here when wine tasting out in sunny slope.

Delicious options that please the palette. Such a beautiful setting. One issue - tip is automatically included based on food cost plus tax. This should not be so and should be corrected.

Peaceful Belly isn't just a place to go eat - it's a whole farm to fork experience! And a memorable one, too. Located in the beautiful Sunnyslope Wine Trail of Idaho, Peaceful Belly is the perfect stop after an afternoon of tastings. While it wasn't busy when my husband and I arrived for our 2:30pm reservation, I would still recommend making reservations which can be done through their website or through OpenTable. We began our visit with flights of their highly-acclaimed Stack Rock Cider (choice of 4 drinks, $8.00/flight). Our server was kind enough to throw in another 2 so we could test the entire menu. Both of us agreed the best one is the Skinny Dippin'. It's the perfect blend of sweet basil and tart lemon - we couldn't leave without bringing home a bottle! If you're not a cider fan, they do offer wine from the surrounding wineries. We were informed the menu changes weekly and follows the seasons. There's lots of vegetarian options, but also some meat dishes. It's obvious that a lot of thought goes into each dish as they're all very unique. I chose the Eggplant Parmesan Flatbread (house made flatbread, breaded eggplant, basil, Parmesan, mozzarella, house made tomato sauce, $17.00) and it was absolutely exquisite! The roasted tomato was deliciously sweet and reminded me of peaches, I think? The tomato sauce was wonderfully seasoned and burst with flavor, better than anything you can buy at the store. My husband ordered Ratatouille (cherry tomatoes, zucchini served on "socca" (garbanzo bean) pancakes with eggplant spread and fresh herbs). He loved the fresh dill on top of the perfectly cooked vegetables, which paired amazingly with the cakes. This dish had great flavor and was cooked to perfection as well. We couldn't leave without trying the Peach Pie, which is literally a mini pie filled with sweet peaches in the most delicious crust I'd ever eaten topped with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla (IYKYK) whipped cream ($12.00). It was SO good. To top off our wonderful time, we bought a vase and for $12.00 we were able to create a beautiful bouquets. I had a blast choosing from so many flowers! I'm really looking forward to my next visit to Peaceful Belly. This is an absolute GEM. It's worth the drive, it's worth all your time. Don't sleep on it!

Why did we not check this place out sooner?! Best farm to fork cafe near a winery! After wine tasting, we got word to check this place out. Even though we just had lunch, we see for ourselves. I am glad we were able to squeeze in a last minute booking. The restaurant is next to it's own shop. Be sure to check that place out as well. The restaurant has a pretty cool decor. Beautiful and inviting. Their menu changes as the season does which is awesome! We were here in December and ordered their Deconstructed Beef Wellington, shaved brussels salad and 2 flights of their own cider. Everything was delicious! The salad had so much flavor and texture, I would love to eat that everyday! The beef wellington had a different twist but nonetheless it is delicious with the balance of flavors. Ciders were refreshing! They had different flavors that you can try plus, you can even bring some home with you. They sell them by the bottles there. The service was excellent! Friendly staff. Overall, food, staff and ambiance is great! Definitely a place to be coming back to and to check them out other seasons as well. We had a great time!

I hate to say too many good things about this place because it is one of those gems you just wanna keep a secret, The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking. The food is all local and delicious. I had the Lo Bak Go, and the flavor as well as the texture was just absolutely delicious. We also had an appetizer of the sourdough bread with delicious butters. We had a flight of cider, and I tended towards the little bit sweeter cider, but they were all delicious except for the very dry us one was. A little too dry for me. Although I'm sure some of you would love it. Other people at our table had a salad and a delicious sandwich. Everything was amazing. For dessert, we had a trio of apricot blueberry sorbei, golden rod ice cream, and lemon curd custard. All of the melted in your mouth.

What a wonderful little place! We had no idea what to expect, but we were tired and hungry after a looong day of driving, and didn't want to wait until we were all the way into Boise, so we pulled into here, hoping it was still serving food. At first it was a little confusing: was it a farm? a tasting room? a restaurant? It turns out: it's all 3! But we were worried as it was almost 7, when they closed. Well they couldn't have been nicer, and the food was delicious! The tasting room/restaurant was a pleasant respite from the heat outside (in milder weather the deck would be great.) I worried the food would be bland or underflavored but it was all nicely spiced: my son had a curry, my husband a delicious stew and the other son a flatbread. I had a beet and kale salad on flatbreads - almost like tacos. Super fresh and flavorful. We also split a cider flight, which was refreshing and interesting. Overall a fantastic experience.

Wowah... if you were to create the most peaceful, happy, outgoing, drooly, sweet, delectable dream you have ever had, in real life, this place would be it. Vibrant, alive, simple. Peaceful Belly is a must stop even if it isn't on your way to somewhere. Their purpose is well thought out and the land they work to live off of. Bees buzzing around happily and full, animals probably burrowing under the shade of a beautiful sunflower, and humans graciously eating farm to table master pieces. Do I sound corny, maybe, but until you visit this living dream, you can't possibly understand. Peaceful Belly partners with local, everything you can think of, to bring you fresh food, if they can't harvest it from their land. We had the most delectable bread and flavored butter, shishito peppers, mozzarella/basil/tomato, and oozy, goozy homemade ice cream. And of course we had a nice sampling of their awesome cider, take some to go too! Friends in town? In-laws? A date (ooooh la la)? Prepare to impress if you take them here!

Opened again for 2022 in February after a well deserved few weeks off for winter holiday. Our meal here opening week was marvelous for warm welcome, super service and fantastic food flavors. It remains in our list of top 5 favorite dining experiences in the Treasure Valley. It is a 45'ish minute drive from our front door to theirs and worth the trip for darned tootin'! Support local farmers using respect for ingredients and customers. And since Peaceful Belly Cafe has been 'discovered' you may want to make reservations (they use Open Table). As in prior years the menu can change from week to week depending on what is fresh and available. The short menu is not always posted in advance of each week but go with confidence that one will always find something delicious on it to choose. I posted a photo of their opening week menu as example but it will evolve over time. What's changed in 2022? They are currently open Thursday through Sunday for lunch and dinner but check their website for hours as they are subject to change in this true family run business. There is a new chef this year and if our first meal on the second day of opening was a measure, he is creating excellent food. (We chose chicken pot pie ($17), an Asian turnip dish ($16) - both to share - and Jimmy Nardello pepper ice cream ($6) along with cider sampler with the meal and a pot of great local roaster Flying M French press coffee with the dessert. Orders used to be placed at counter last year, but this year they are taking orders at table. Owner / husband Clay Erskine is also the cider master for the farm's Stack Rock cidery and he has added four new ciders to the list this year and they are all delightful! (The tasting flight is a great way to find your favorites.) Cider is available in bottles to take home. (We left with six in a tote this time.) This is a cidery facility and so while the cider list has expanded they have reduced wine options to two, one red and one white both from local vintners. There are also soft beverages, including in house made herbal soda, and they have added a new tea line up too. In addition to inside seating in the delightful space and outside patio seating when weather permits there is now a separate room for reservation to use for groups and it is a delight of color and whimsey which I couldn't fairly capture for image for photo. Owner Josie Erskine has such a flair for designing welcoming and spirit lifting spaces. I love the new mural on the back wall of the main space too.

We stopped here after a morning visiting vintage shoppes. It's a pretty 'peaceful' place and it has a great view. I found that I am not a big cider fan and should probably just have had wine. My husband though, really liked the ciders. For eats we each got the pot pie. I really like that the food here is made with healthy ingredients. The pot pie was good but bland to my taste, so asked for salt and pepper to perk up the flavors. We stopped at the little retail shop after and picked up vegetables and a killer huckleberry jam. I wish we had bought more of that as we are burning through our jar pretty fast!

Wow! Where do I start? This place is 5/5 stars all around. Their restaurant is out of control tasty. The menu changes daily depending on what's available for harvest from the farm. Our group tried the bread and butter, the meatballs, the deconstructed ratatouille and the homemade peaches and cream ice cream. Another standout was their summer cider cocktail. The one I (greatly!) enjoyed had cider, cantaloupe, and jalapeño. Seriously divine! After we ate, we went out to their flower fields to pick our own bouquet. For $12 we got a Mason jar filled with water and a pair of scissors. Finally, the farm store was great! They had fresh veggies, goodies from local artists, and small pints of their homemade ice cream. If you're visiting Boise, do NOT miss out on this beautiful experience!

This was our first visit to the "farm" all I can say is wow!! A truly "hidden" culinary gem featuring fresh local ingredients from the surrounding countryside. The menu changes frequently based on what's available. I had the meatloaf smothered in a pepper gravy. It was delicious!! They offer their own cider as well; just do a flight to find your favorite. Don't forget the ice cream; you can do a flight of that too rotating flavors. Lastly you need to make a reservation don't expect to walk in and sit down. So do yourself a favor head out to the Sunnyslope enjoy some delicious food, cider, and ice-cream!!

We went to the Peaceful Belly Farm restaurant for our youngest daughter's 30th birthday dinner. She wanted to go someplace special, someplace that she'd never frequent it before and she wanted to go to a place that she could build new memories. And she also wanted to be very conscious to my diet restrictions. I have food allergies. So I got on yelp and started looking at restaurants and came across this particular one. I am always drawn to restaurants that are farm to table and this one is definitely that. Their menu changes every single day, depending on what they harvest and what the neighboring farms are harvesting. Their menu is not very big, but that is another thing that I am quite drawn to it. It shows that all of their food's going to be very fresh rather than some thing that they picked up at Costco and threw in their fryer. I was also drawn to the location of it being on a farm. I knew that we would get great pictures. Sometimes food is something that you eat more with your eyes and then realize that your stomach ends up being just as happy. When we arrived for our reservation, we were greeted by a very nice hostess, who seated us at a great table. The restaurant was quite busy, but that did not change our service at all. We chose the apricot appetizer and the broccoli hummus. My husband got the Power Bowl while my daughter got the bird in a nest, and I got the lamb which was wonderful. We saved room for dessert, but dessert was at home since it was the our daughters birthday dinner. I would definitely go back to this place in a heartbeat. But I would do it in a different season to see how their menu changes drastically.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The gardens and patio are so relaxing and peaceful. The ciders and fresh ice cream were amazing. This is our new favorite spot! Our 2 year old loved it here and we'll definitely be back. Everyone was really friendly too and answered any questions we had.

I heard Marina say once something that was roughly this; farming is good for the family and family farming is good for the world. I'm paraphrasing, but I wanted to say "Amen" to that and also to thank her because it certainly is good for the local community. ACCESSIBLE FARM STORE FOR PRE-PICKED FRUIT: It was buying their dried sour cherries from other vendors in the area, both Peaceful Belly's farm store and McIntyre Farm store that introduced me to Cherry Hill. Visiting the farm for the first time in maybe 2019, they had only portable tables set up in a deep gravel over dirt lot and given I have mobility disabilities (I have had multiple sclerosis since college) that make it beyond difficult to walk through that, I was disappointed to not be able to get from parking to the product on tables. Fast forward a few years and they now have built a small farm store on site and although they still have that gravel over dirt lot, they did observe ADA minimums to pour a cement apron on one side of the store with a single parking spot there which makes it possible for all people to get into the farm store on solid surface and shop for sour dried cherries , sour fresh cherries, cherry juice, apples, pears, apricots, nectarines and peaches in their various seasons. U-PICK OPTIONS: U-Pick is offered through all the various seasons. Check Cherry Hill's Facebook page or Web page or call them to be sure they are open when you want to do and what is growing to be picked. DID YOU SAY DONUTS?: the surprise for us as we stocked up on dried cherries, apples, pears and O'Henry peaches a couple of weeks ago was to learn they have fresh made cinnamon sugar donuts at some times. We managed to buy the last half dozen, how they are sold, and came home to share them with the men who mow our lawn and we all thought they were great. SPECIAL EVENTS FALL AND SPRING: There is a corn maize and pumpkin patch in the fall from late September through October 31, so it is going on as I write this review, with special activities for children. In the Spring they hold a cherry festival. With cherry trees and the other fruit trees in blossom at different times, it really is a beautiful place to visit then. NEIGHBORS TO VISIT ON A DAY TRIP: *If you're in Caldwell to visit Cherry Hill, I recommend a visit to Peaceful Belly Farm which is also home to a Cidery. They serve lunch and dinner in their on site cafe on some Thursdays through Sundays during the Spring into Winter. Check their website for more information. It is very special to eat there, you can walk through the farm, and they have an onsite farm store selling their produce and that of neighbors, like Cherry Hill. Owners Jodie and Clay Erskine are so creative in offering community engagement opportunities. https://www.yelp.com/biz/peaceful-belly-farm-caldwell?osq=peaceful+belly *You may also want to pay a visit to McIntyre Pastures which pasture raises all their cattle, pigs and chickens and they have a farm store to sell their proteins - including eggs that are the best I have ever used - and other local farm products, like Cherry Hill dried cherries. https://www.yelp.com/biz/mcintyre-pastures-farm-caldwell?osq=MCINTYRE+FARM

I get why people posted them, although they may have had no experience with the farmers, these are farmers, who own and operate Red Chair. The nutshell is this. Red Chair is in Eagle, a relatively small community and the one I live in too, and they hold an annual Lavender Festival just after July 4th every year. This year it was advertised that Old State Saloon would be a part of it, apparently as a vendor for food and drink. Old State is a watering hole in downtown Eagle and the owner has made no bones about his anti-gay and hard right wing perspectives, MAGA hats abound and he has hosted things like the "Hetero" event in downtown Boise last week. Thankfully almost no one showed up there, but let me tell ya', in Eagle people go to his Old State location. I was in there when they first opened, not knowing at that time the owner's orientation, but it was plenty clear pretty fast and I do not support them nor do business with any entity that is in league with them. We consumers vote our values with our wallets. When people found out Old State was involved with the lavender festival at Red Chair, the lambasting of Red Chair started. But Red Chair has cut ties with Old State to do the food and beverage service after the Old State owner's bigoted, homophobic remarks were published in connection with press coverage of the recent downtown Boise event. If you take the time to read the news article here, you'll see this farmer / owners was sort of unaware of the depth of the Old State owner's issues and was just happy someone was willing to help out providing food and beverage vending at the lavender festival. Learning of the remarks and having his Lavender Farm business targeted by people who thought he was in synch with Old State's owner, he told them he does not want them to participate. https://www.kivitv.com/eagle/red-chair-lavender-cut-ties-with-old-state-saloon-after-racist-comment-at-bars-hetero-awesome-fest
