This review is from D. Martin : I have been going to Willie's for over 10 years now. I have had nothing but good service -- I should know because I am effected with lymphedema in all four limbs. Thus, I really need somebody who can measure and take care of my very demanding situation. Lisa has always gone above and beyond, to not only take care of me but also to be on the cutting edge to tell me what is new on the market. If it wasn't for Lisa, I wouldn't have even known that I qualify for free bras and could be fitted for prosthetics. Her husband has also done an excellent job in regards to insurance and billing; he has also gone above and beyond fighting the insurance companies on my behalf. I have referred countless friends to Willie's, all of whom who have been thankful and delighted to find someone who could finally help them in such a professional manner. Do not waste your time with this business. They have a horrible reputation for refusing to work with insurance companies even though they are in-network. Even my wife's oncologist cringes when he hears we are trying to go through Willie's to obtain garments because he knows it will be a battle. They react inconvenienced when customers ask them to do their job and contact insurance companies to understand what is or isn't covered by a specific individuals health plan. Horrible customer service and zero sympathy for what breast cancer patients have to deal with. read more

Lisa, the owner of Willie's made me feel so uplifted today. She was very professional and knowledgeable in making sure I had the perfect fit breast prosthesis. She made it even fun trying on the different bras. I actually felt a little sexy again for the first time in many months. So much better to deal with a smaller shop who specializes in my needs and really know what they are talking about than a large store like Nordstrom. read more

I have been coming to Willie's for the last 10 years which speaks highly to my level of satisfaction. When you have been diagnosed with cancer and you lose a breast it changes your life and requires you to make adjustments in more ways than one. From my very first experience here the staff conducted themselves professionally, treated me with the utmost sensitivity and compassion, and were nothing but kind. They have to be all of these things because the subject matter is delicate. Lisa, the owner, really knows her stuff and goes out of her way to be of help. Product offering is good. I not only buy bras but workout tops and swimsuits as well. I would recommend Willie's to anyone who has recently undergone a mastectomy. I have been shopping at Willie's since 1989 after a double mastectomy and have always received compassionate, expert care from all the fine ladies in the shop. The fitters are courteous, sensitive, knowledgeable, competent, and professional. Their merchandise is high quality; their product selection is wide and deep. When I have changed insurances, the staff has always been efficient dealing with the paperwork and record keeping. I have tried a couple of other stores over these past 29 years, and found the drive well worth returning to Willie's--they are the best at what they do! I am not a frequent Yelper, but I wanted to write a review for Willie's because of their exceptional service to my wife. She has a chronic condition that requires compression garments. The condition and the insurance hurdles have been challenging to say the least but Willie's has always been an honest and compassionate advocate. Lisa has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions to make sure my wife has always had the garments that she needs. They are caring, helpful and kind. Any medical condition, let alone a chronic one can be an ordeal, but it's nice to know there are people that truly care. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. For two years now I have been bending over backwards to get sleeves from this company that my insurance plan covers! I have provided proof from my insurance company, statements of medical necessity from my doctor....Willie's insists my plan does not cover them despite showing them in writing my benefit coverage includes 4 DME compression garments for lymphedema patients. My insurance verbally tells me yes it is covered and yes Willies is in network. Standard plans do not cover this but if Willies would take the time to do their research they would know I don't have a standard plan. My insurance has even called them on multiple occasions over the last couple years to tell them it's covered but Willie's refuses to cooperate and provide me with the medical equipment I need. I even have complained to my doctor at St Judes about this and he asked if it was Willie's....with out me saying who the company was he already knew who I was talking about. He told me unfortunately every patient he sends to them has difficulties with them. Seriously this is the worst company to work with. As a breast cancer patient and survivor we have more important battles to deal with then proving to Willie's shop if something is covered by insurance or not. I understand that they are a business and are trying to ensure they get paid by insurance but when I have been showing proof...time and time again for the last couple years that my insurance company covers it and my insurance company is even telling them this...then I do not understand why they continually refuse to provide me with something I need. They are CLEARLY not in the business of helping others. The sad part is a couple years ago I kindly donated my prosthetics to them (before uncovering how impossible they are to work with) and asked them to give them to someone in need that couldn't afford them. Seeing how they have handled this situation over a compression garment I GUARANTEE they put my prosthetics on the shelf and sold them as new to make $$$. They are frauds. read more

I have had Lymphedema for over 20 years. I have gone thru other companies to obtain my DME and needed compression devices with horrible experiences ( wrong measurements, telling me things were covered when they were not, ordering the wrong product). I have never had a complaint with Lisa or with Willie's. I am no stranger to insurance issues with coverage and codes. I have had zero coverage and Lisa and her staff at Willie's have repeatedly gone above and beyond to help me get what is needed. I would never go to another shop, even if I moved. Does the shop get busy, yes. Should you make an appointment, yes. Not once in 11 years that I have come here has a phone call gone unreturned. It is a testament to their outstanding customer service that they are that busy. I've stopped by with an emergency swelling in a leg I had zero compression garments for & they fixed me up on the spot until I could get in to see the doctor. Unfortunately insurance is difficult to deal with and covered items do change. Heaven forbid your company change carriers once you get one with good coverage. In every instance, Lisa and her staff has assisted me, fought for me, taken measurements and even helped take photos for me to submit appeals to my insurance companies over the years. I don't get this much support from my own doctors office. I feel bad others have not had a good experience but that is not the norm here. Sometimes emotions run high when dealing with healthcare. I'm incredibly grateful for this shop, their kindness & the knowledge they have. read more

The two women in the shop completely lost interest in me when I mentioned which insurance plan I'm covered by. They stopped answering questions I had about compression sleeves...I was shopping for my first one and didn't even know how to measure for one. Neither of them offered to help measure me once I asked about insurance coverage. Very disappointing experience during an already difficult and emotional time. read more

I've had the pleasure of shopping at Willie's for over 5 years. I can honestly say that each experience with the store and staff have always been exceptional. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, polite, very helpful and work with me to find the perfect bras and compression garments. Making an appointment ahead of time allows me to work with a staff member and find exactly what I require. The store offers a wide variety of choices, which is a huge plus! After each fitting, a staff member clearly explains their insurance policies and what they will submit and what is my responsibility. I recommend Willie's to friends and they, too, are pleased with the service and the selection that the store offers. I'd highly recommend stopping by, you'll be glad that you did! read more
