From the moment I sat in her chair, Kat made me feel super comfortable and taken care of. She's incredibly kind, easy to talk to, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. What I loved most was how she actually listened. I explained what I was hoping for, and she not only understood but also gave helpful suggestions that made the final look even better than I imagined. It felt like a real collaboration, and I never once felt rushed or like just another appointment on the books. The vibe during the appointment was so relaxing--Kat has this calm, professional presence that puts you at ease right away. It felt more like a self-care session than just a haircut. And when I saw the final result? I was genuinely thrilled. The cut is exactly what I wanted, and I feel so confident and refreshed. I've already gotten a few compliments and I just left the salon! My hair was already sun-blonde--I just wanted it lighter with cool, bright tones. The result was the opposite. My hair was taken down to a dark brown with no blonde tones at all. I contacted the salon and was offered a redo with a senior stylist the following Tuesday. I later requested a refund instead, since my hair now needed major correction, but was told the redo would be free. At my appointment, the senior stylist did her part by fixing the color. However, at the end--after multiple bowls of product and no prior pricing discussion--the manager informed me I owed an additional $300. This directly contradicted what I was told earlier about the service being free. Instead of honoring the original $200 or making the correction right, I ended up paying for the initial mistake plus more on top. There was no upfront communication about added costs, which is unacceptable. The senior stylist was professional and did manage to make it back to the original color, but the management and billing practices were misleading and unprofessional. I will not be returning.

The doctors at the San Antonio Eye & Face Institute deal in two areas…read more 1. Eye issues, particularly for aging patients (think cataracts and macular degeneration) 2. Facial aesthetics. I don't believe they do surgery at this facility but they do micro needling, botox, and injectable fillers. I can only comment as to #1, as I've been taking my ladyfriend to this facility for two years now. Parking is easy, the lobby is spartan but nice enough as a waiting area, and they do keep to within 20 minutes of their appointment schedule. The ophthalmologist we deal with is the wonderfully named Dr. Relief Jones. He's remarkably knowledgeable, willing to explain complex issues, and does NOT push you towards drugs or surgery while conditions are still manageable with supplements or corrective lenses. Highly recommend their services.

I was informed there would be a$50 charge for my glasses prescription which was fine. As the technician, the one bright spot on this visit, is getting me ready for the doctor the receptionist interrupts and tells me that my insurance will not cover the cost and there will be a $330 charge for my visit. I stop my care and go to deal with the receptionist. After I retrieve my referral letter the receptionist consults with billing and determines that they were wrong. I am charged $150( which I intend to dispute with my insurance) for the visit and another $50 for my prescription. The doctor sees me and tells me that she will not give me my prescription without a glaucoma follow up. I tell her I will not be coming back to a clinic that tried to rip me off. I then demand the return of my $50 and the doctor tells the receptionist to refund my money while making a big show of dressing her down. Shortly after I leave I receive a call from the clinic stating they would like to refund $50 of my money. I ask if this is the money I'm already owed or another $50. The person on the phone says it's the money I am owed. I ask why they are calling pretending to be refunding additional money and they immediately seek to end the call. Avoid!

I've been seeing Bria the aesthetician at the Elian location. She got right to business and created a treatment plan for me to help with my texture, breakouts, and past acne scars. She took the time to ask me about my prior skincare treatments, my current skincare products, and taught me about what products I can introduce into my routine, and their benefits. I appreciated that she was also conscious of my budget and didn't push me to buy a whole new skin care set but suggested certain items I can eventually swap for in my current routine when I'm ready. It was also my first time doing micro-needling. Bria is very experienced, she makes it such a relaxing and fun experience. I also got to meet Amaya who helps film for social media, she was very kind, and being in a room together made my spa day feel like a fun girls day more than just a micro-needling session. I had zero breathing problems before surgery, and now I struggle to breathe through my nose daily and have constant mucus discharge. This has negatively impacted my quality of life in a way I never anticipated. On top of that, the aesthetic result is extremely disappointing. My nose looks worse than it did before, which is unacceptable given the purpose of the procedure. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. I've tried multiple times to address these issues, and his office still requires a consultation fee just to be seen--despite the fact that these problems are a direct result of his work. This has been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. I would strongly urge anyone considering him to look elsewhere.
