The venue itself was extremely well taken care of and you could tell they kept up with updating certain aspects of the property. New grooms cabin was added and bridal suite is gorgeous. My only advice for couples: Has nothing to do with the venue itself. The "bartender package" we paid for included a bartender that was dressed extremely unprofessionally and was handing out straight shots at the wedding. Make sure you have a good coordinator to keep a bad employee in check wedding night. Or ask to meet bartender hired through venue beforehand to make sure he is aware of your expectations. That being said- I would recommend this venue to ANYONE. It is private and personal and beautiful and affordable- just keep in mind if you have a DIY sunday wedding: Hire staff that you trust that will made sure your night is perfect. Bear came with us and was the perfect pup just chilling and loving all of the attention! The service was great we went to the counter and ordered our drinks. My kiddo even got to have a blue raspberry slushie which made her night she ended up with blue lips and teeth too! They also have a gift shop full of adorable merchandise: cups with the bear claw logo etched on (I got a wine cup lol! ) , cork bracelets (we got two), dog clothes, goat milk soap, t shirts etc. They have lots of seating options indoor tables as well as lots of tables with little fire pits outside and lots of games. On the weekends, they have live music. When we visited artist Russ Stills was there. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. He even came around the audience meeting and greeting with each table and taking requests. There are many activists such as zip lining, canoeing, hayrides, hiking and nice trails. A definite quaint getaway for rest and relaxation. There are multiple conference rooms, free WiFi and an on-site kitchen for catered meals. The only con I experienced on the last trip was a lack of monitoring of inventory of food for quick replenishment on the buffet line, no signage to label ingredients in the food, no gluten free options for bread or desserts. It wasn't until we visited Walnut Hill Farm that we fell in love with a venue. The Conservatory/Lower Barn by the pond is just dreamy. It's intimate and charming, and absolutely perfect. But really, it was Matt Barrett that we fell in love with too. From day one he was warm, and kind and responsive. He was there throughout the entire process, literally from day one through the wedding day, just checking in, answering a million questions (and I'm not even kidding), and making sure things were getting done. I was planning the wedding long distance, and he and Amanda made it a breeze. That's saying a lot from someone who's a semi-OCD control-freak :D I truly could not have hoped for a better wedding. Amanda literally took the dreams in my head and made them come to life in our round arch, our table arrangements, and everything in between. The flowers were just to-die for, and they truly set the scene. I've heard over and over again from guests how beautiful everything was, and I know they meant it, because it was! Amanda has an incredible talent, and I'm so glad she used it on my wedding. Jasa and her team knocked it out of the park with the food. I heard from so many guests how delicious everything was, even from our more picky guests. The serving process was smooth, and everyone enjoyed their meal - that's a huge win in my book!
