The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the inventory on their website is not quite accurate (one of the bottles I wanted turned out to be out of stock), but the staff helped me find a replacement. Prices are reasonable, on average a little higher than Buy-Rite but if you're savvy you can find bottles that are even cheaper than Buy-Rite or are just rare and difficult to find at other local wine shops.

Ambient smokers outside give the area a nice decrepit atmosphere, too (homey if you're visiting from New York). The floor is slanting and broken in places but we live in New Jersey so we can't kid ourselves here (nowhere near Camden level, so don't get too worried). Overall, Solid 5/5, if you want clean floors and don't want cancer from secondhand smoke go pretend you're one of those prissy fucks up by Massachussets.

At a friend's recommendation, we decided to have lunch nearby at Bareburger, but apparently they didn't serve alcohol although they referred customers to this bottle shop. Was it worth the quick walk to the corner for something to drink with my meal!? PURCHASE Bridge Lane Wine White Merlot 12.7floz Can ($7.99): With no local craft beer available, I then looked for a red wine from the area that I normally couldn't find back in Los Angeles (no such lucky either), so this offering and another from Mattituck, New York were the only options that fit that criteria. A ring-pull tab opening, pinkish color, light citrus lemongrass aroma, low body, light lemongrass peach flavor, clean drying finish, minimal citrus aftertaste, and low astringency - refreshing but definitely not on a cold day and didn't pair well with my bison burger. Bridge Lane Wine Sauvignon Blanc 12.7floz Can ($7.99): As with the wine above, this offering was another from Mattituck, New York that sort of fit my criteria of trying drinks from this region of the country... which I eventually paired with leftover Indian food for dinner. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A small store fully stocked with liquor, mixers, and wines on a few aisle shelves and along one wall while there was a refrigerated section mainly with beer along the right and back wall, and a pay counter towards the front door. Everything was visibly labeled and carried a decent assortment of products. Decent natural lighting came through the large front windows and door while electric recessed ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs nor any background music. ATTIRE Temperatures were in the 40s, so I was bundled-up from head-to-toe. Otherwise, this place was totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Delite Market was somewhat but not fully helpful in my quest. I was glad to have found something local albeit wine in a can which just never sat well with my traditional views of how to consume wine. They had a well-stocked refrigerated section but mainly full wine bottles, multipack beers and sodas, and single bottles/cans of your standard beers. Their prices seemed comparable and inventory generally good (extremely limited on craft beers) although I couldn't speak on anything else regarding their liquor or wine inventory, but the service was very hands-off and not inviting. However, I'm sure they served their neighborhood well. And, it was always a pleasure to support small local mom & pop businesses like this one. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $17.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.5 STARS

I usually have hard liquor so I'm easy, they have so much better pricing! I've been to Sparrow and they have a bit of an attitude! Plus this place has more of an open layout feel. The staff now is really helpful, I've seen them help other people - but I like to roam around and try different things and go with my gut, while playing loud music - so I look for things I've read online, etc. The only thing I wish they had is better priced Malbec from the Mendoza region. I tried the one from Chile, which was $12 and was hooked on it for a month but then wanted a Mendoza just to validate why I love it, but I think the cheapest they have is $18, so I bought it. And I can never go back to the Chile one, what was I thinking! Suffice it to say, would love a Mendoza Malbec for $13 or so. But great place, the staff is mostly men and they're friendly, engaging, quick!

Their wine selection is vast and easy to navigate, while the alcohol options are more limited but include some unusual bottles. Lastly, they have a decent amount of beers, though their bottles are more interesting than their can options. I do love that they allow customers to build their own six-pack from loose bottles/cans, so you can avoid committing to a new brew in bulk. The store is worth at least a browse.

Over the years, we were consistently advised by staff to buy a little extra for events, just in case we ran short -- with the understanding that any unused, unopened, and non-perishable items could be returned the next day for store credit. We appreciated that flexibility and planned accordingly. But today was a different experience. When we tried to return a few items, we were told about a restocking policy we had never heard of before. On top of that, the staff didn't seem to know the details and had to contact the accountant instead of speaking with a manager. There was even some question about whether the items were returnable at all, which caught us off guard given the history. We had our receipt and the alcohol was delivered by your staff last night!!! After 6 years of loyalty and following the advice of your team, we left feeling dismissed, confused and disappointed. What had been a dependable relationship ended with poor communication and a lack of clarity. You've lost a long-time customer.

When my pilot light went out and I was looking for a grill lighter or fireplace matches, they didn't have them in stock but advised me that Caporrino's on Adams St might have them (they did!). They even gave me a bottle of wine for Christmas last year. I had to take off one star because the chip selection is sometimes a little bit lacking and I'm not totally sure how they can call themselves a deli, but otherwise I'm proud to call Ottomanelli's my go-to bodega.
