The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the inventory on their website is not quite accurate (one of the bottles I wanted turned out to be out of stock), but the staff helped me find a replacement. Prices are reasonable, on average a little higher than Buy-Rite but if you're savvy you can find bottles that are even cheaper than Buy-Rite or are just rare and difficult to find at other local wine shops.

Over the years, we were consistently advised by staff to buy a little extra for events, just in case we ran short -- with the understanding that any unused, unopened, and non-perishable items could be returned the next day for store credit. We appreciated that flexibility and planned accordingly. But today was a different experience. When we tried to return a few items, we were told about a restocking policy we had never heard of before. On top of that, the staff didn't seem to know the details and had to contact the accountant instead of speaking with a manager. There was even some question about whether the items were returnable at all, which caught us off guard given the history. We had our receipt and the alcohol was delivered by your staff last night!!! After 6 years of loyalty and following the advice of your team, we left feeling dismissed, confused and disappointed. What had been a dependable relationship ended with poor communication and a lack of clarity. You've lost a long-time customer.

I usually have hard liquor so I'm easy, they have so much better pricing! I've been to Sparrow and they have a bit of an attitude! Plus this place has more of an open layout feel. The staff now is really helpful, I've seen them help other people - but I like to roam around and try different things and go with my gut, while playing loud music - so I look for things I've read online, etc. The only thing I wish they had is better priced Malbec from the Mendoza region. I tried the one from Chile, which was $12 and was hooked on it for a month but then wanted a Mendoza just to validate why I love it, but I think the cheapest they have is $18, so I bought it. And I can never go back to the Chile one, what was I thinking! Suffice it to say, would love a Mendoza Malbec for $13 or so. On Day 11 of my vacation as I visited a very dear friend for the Christmas and New Year holidays, we were in search of one of our favorite champagne bottles without leaving the area or having it delivered if we didn't have to, when we made a final stop at Webster Liquor. Located barely five minutes from my friend's place, we struck out at a couple other local bottle shops we visited earlier on my vacation. Apparently, this liquor store was very well-known and loved in the neighborhood which was heartwarming to hear and see. Would we find what we were looking for!? PURCHASE Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne 750ml Bottle ($75.00): Truly one of my favorite champagne around, it was mandatory that we had a bottle of this for our New Year's Eve or New Year's Day celebration. One lone bottle without its box remained placed not exactly on the top shelf behind the counter sandwiched between two other lesser-known champagne. Thankfully, we lucked out on our final destination home or we had to go the delivery route. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A tiny store with one main alcohol display area in the center, refrigerated sections along the right wall, another smaller alcohol display are along the back wall, random canned food, toiletries, etc. on a shelf display along the left wall, a pay counter with the top-shelf items and smokes behind that towards the front, and racks of candy and snacks at the base of the counter. Not everything was visibly priced, and generally speaking there was a hodge-podge of merchandise but primarily liquor. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front wall windows and door while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. As expected, the prices were comparably slightly higher (especially in the Veuve case), the selection limited and kept to top-selling name brands and lower-priced off-brands, and the service kept to a minimum. Bare-bones rickety shops like this gave close-knit neighborhoods their identity and soul that everyone appreciated. And, it was always a pleasure to support small local mom & pop businesses like this one. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $80.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). Their wine selection is vast and easy to navigate, while the alcohol options are more limited but include some unusual bottles. Lastly, they have a decent amount of beers, though their bottles are more interesting than their can options. I do love that they allow customers to build their own six-pack from loose bottles/cans, so you can avoid committing to a new brew in bulk. The store is worth at least a browse.
