I purchased 2 tops and because they both were defective with rips, I went to store to return them less than 24 hours from when I bought them. Since I had looked at their merchandise the night before, there were no items my size that I liked to replace the ones I had bought. I was told they wouldn't refund my credit card. To make things worse, I never received the email receipt and was not told of their return policy which is store credit only. The young lady working there was extremely nice but could not give me refund even after discussing it with the store owner. I spoke with a very condescending owner who was extremely NOT customer friendly. I was very polite throughout the whole process. While I was outside the store speaking to my credit card company about this, the owner called the police on me and told them that I threatened to throw a brick through their window. I felt like a criminal. The store clerk verified to the police officer that I never made those threats and that all I wanted was a refund for ripped items I did not want. I now have to go to court to dispute something that I had no fault in. This is a HORRIBLE place to shop that is not customer friendly in any way. I hope the store clerk that was there finds a better place to work. I will NEVER shop there or any of their other stores again!!!

We had some time to kill on Saturday while we waited for our table to be ready for brunch and we…read moredecided to browse this little store, there were quite a few groups of women doing the same as we were but this did not make it difficult to shop. 23 South is filled with private and large name designers from jewelry to bags to dishware to travel mugs to greeting cards, all just cute little gifts. What initially drew me in to this store was that I was looking for a new Alex and Ani bracelet that had just came out, the sales associate asked me if I was looking for something in particular and she was able to locate the charm bracelet right away. She held it at the counter for me so that I could continue to look around. I had just moved into my apartment and found a large piece of artwork that I really liked, the sales people told me that it was the last one of that painting and took it off the wall for me, they even gave me a couple of special nails from the drawer to hang it when I got home! I call that friendly customer service and that is what keeps me coming back. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a little gift for a special occasion or "just because". ..or maybe to someone who is looking to just treat themselves (like me!).
