Wanting to be sure, I went into the lobby and asked the front desk, and the man there confirmed that yes, I needed to pay, even though I was only staying a few minutes. After grabbing a coffee, I casually asked another employee if parking was validated, and she told me I shouldn't have paid at all--that the charge is only meant for overnight parking. There is absolutely nothing on the signage that makes this clear. To make matters worse, the guy at the front desk had a clear "I don't want to be here" attitude and was not helpful at all. Between the misleading signs and conflicting information from staff, the whole experience felt frustrating and unprofessional. I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company. Be careful--this place gives off serious bait-and-switch vibes.

Feeling safe…read moreand getting free parking in LA is practically a luxury these days, so I'll give them credit for that. Now, the customer service... or whatever they consider customer service. Checking in was quite the experience--the front desk staff looked absolutely thrilled to be there (or not). The attitude was so cold and unwelcoming that I honestly wondered if I had interrupted something important just by showing up to check in. In hospitality, you'd expect at least a hint of friendliness, but apparently that's optional here. Housekeeping didn't help the situation either. Their shift supposedly starts at 8am, so when I called at 8:30 for towels, I expected at least an answer. No such luck. I left a message, and by 9:30 that night, still nothing. We had to walk down to the front desk ourselves like it was some kind of scavenger hunt for basic necessities. The location next to the freeway adds a nice constant soundtrack of traffic. If you're into white noise at full volume, this might actually be a perk. Otherwise, earplugs are a must. The bedding was another letdown. No real blanket--just a thin polyester layer pretending to be one--and the sheets were rough enough to make me wonder what they were made of. And of course, the mysterious "included breakfast" I thought I read about? Turns out that doesn't exist. Whether I was misinformed or they quietly removed it, who knows. Overall, the stay felt pretty mediocre, and for the price, there are definitely better options--ones where towels arrive before bedtime and staff don't act like greeting guests is a burden.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. The $300/week price is unbeatable. The entire…read morestaff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The "+s" are: clean room, refrigerator/freezer (in room), wifi, cable (a little bit too limited), bathtub/shower (not just a shower), common kitchen (saves $ $ on non-take out meals), on-site 24 hour laundry room, gated parking lot, 24 hour security and my favorite ... A P O O L (even though it is currently closed for the winter). We will be back. The only negative thing is, after each 28 day stay ...the leaving for 5 days before returning is a pain. Especially now that LA is on COV-19 lockdown.

So here's an honest review,…read more pros: it was a very cheap hotel and for someone like me who had to get smtg very last minute with not a lot in the bank, it was perfect, I was staying there to go to a convention down the street and it was only 10 min which was great, website says no private parking (from what I remember) but there is an area to park in the back, it's gated and you have to press a button to get in or out which me and my friend were very happy about, the fridge was pretty nice, not a mini fridge, it had two different doors for reg fridge and a freezer, lots of drawers and cabinet space, tv worked well, bed was comfortable and pillows were comfortable and the locks on the doors were electric so you need a card to get in. Cons: there were stains all over our sheets, nothing crazy but more like stuff you can't really get out (coffee, wine, etc) but one of these sheets had someone's name written on it with a pen?? To us, it looked like they just didn't change that sheet, pillows had stuff on it too, we ended up going to get pillow cases to cover them, I personally didn't see bed bugs but we did have an encounter with two roaches, one dead and one alive, they are the size of horse fly, one of the drawers had nerds clusters in it and it looked like some of the nerds were on the floor too, there was a medical cabinet that had an old bag in there with god knows what, someone got a arrested the first night we stayed there, lots of yelling and threats (also would like to add this was not in their control and the front desk did call the cops), when I was checking in, the man asked if I wanted to see the room I said yes and when leaving he asked if I was staying alone and as a younger fem presenting person, this made me very uncomfortable for a older man to ask me this, I thought it was inappropriate and made me feel unsafe before I even got the key to the room, very thin walls, we were right next to the kitchen and could hear everything, I didn't want to take a pic for their privacy but also in the kitchen there were these couches and there looked to be a homeless person sleeping on one, there is absolutely no security on the grounds aside from the cameras and the gate and for this hotel being in a "rough" neighborhood, I feel like it's needed to insure the safety of their guests and also I don't know if this is just a hotel or not, it almost seemed like it was part hotel and part apartment complex, not really a bad thing but just thought it was strange Over all, would I stay here again, most likely not. The cons outweigh the pros too much I don't think I will ever come back unless needed too, there were other hotels with similar rates nearby that I'd rather not come back to this one.

****TRAVELER BEWARE ***UPDATE*** TRAVELER BEWARE****…read more After speaking with AAA to get a refund, the hotel lied to AAA and claimed they checked our room and found no roaches. I am so glad I took pictures of the roaches in our room. The hotel tried to keep $233 dollars of the $466 dollars because they claimed we stayed in the room and that we didnt report the issue with them! All lies! When the roaches were discovered we left the room within 20 minutes of getting there and reported to the front desk where the guy seem to not care. I found out WHY he didnt care. Other reviews on tripadvisor and google reviews reported the same thing ROACHES IN THE ROOMS. He was used to such reports! Then LIED about it! I had to contact my bank because AAA would not help! It seem like the AAA rep WHO I WILL ALSO BE REPORTING, agreed with the guy because they were both INDIAN! I filled a fraudulent claim with my bank and provided pictures to back up my claims to get my money back! THIS PLACE IS A DIRTY! SCUMY! HOTEL! DO NOT STAY HERE! Be sure to monitor your debit cards if you do stay here because they seem to like to make additional charges on your card AFTER you have checked out! DO NOT STAY HERE!! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND THEY HAVE ROACHES!

It isn't indoors -- you'll stand outside while the clerk checks you in. It was raining and wet when we arrived, and I stood under the rain during the check in process. The parking situation is so tight and there is only one way to get in and one way to get out -- and it's the same (sole) driveway. There is no roof or eaves when entering the room from the outside. Since it was raining, we entered the room directly from the parking lot with wet shoes. The room looked clean, spacious, and in order. Reviews from other websites mention that the rooms were clean --- and more importantly, no roaches. The room comes with two smallish thin towels that are in between the sizes of a bath towel and a hand towel. No hand towel to wipe your hands on after washing, no tissues. The hand soap by the sink will not lather up. There was one sachet of shampoo, which I did not bother using because it was the same brand as the non-lathering soap. The bed looked okay, even visually nice looking -- but the horror began when I realized that the sheets were not clean. There were only two small and very thin pillows -- my side had a strand of hair on it. There was only a thin sheet to use as a blanket, but because it was cold that first night, we used the bed spread as a comforter. During the first night, I could smell the dirtiness of the bed. Even though the bed spread visually looked clean, it's obvious that these are not washed after other guests have used the room. The following day, I woke up with an infection on my chin caused by a staph infection on a blemish, which slowly progressed over the next few days. My husband got a staph infection in his nose. We got STAPH INFECTIONs from staying at this motel!!! Rule of thumb: if it's labeled a 'motel' and rated 7 or less, you're signing up for regret.
