I highly suggest taking your business to one of the many other huckleberry forward businesses in the area. Went here on Friday (7/24) just past noon with thoughts of getting some yummy huckleberry treats. We were in the gift shop area and looking at various items. There was a young lady who was very kind and asked if we needed any help, but I was just browsing a bit. A few moments later, a man who I can only guess was the manager, came from the restaurant side and snapped "I NEED YOU UP HERE ATTENDING TO CUSTOMERS!" The young girl was literally standing behind the counter and had just helped me! I was shocked at his gruff treatment of an employee, especially when it was unfounded. I thought I might be too sensitive, so I wandered off to find my husband and when I did, I heard the man tell the employee, "I'm putting out these damaged shirts on sale. If anyone complains about the holes, tell them that's why they are $19 not $33!" Again, his tone was nasty. I set down the several jars of jam, honey and candy I was planning to purchase and told my husband that I wasn't buying anything here and left. My husband was bummed about not getting any pie. Anyone who loudly and proudly treats employees that way and boldly makes such flippant comments about customers needs to rethink their priorities. I'll take my business elsewhere and I hope the young Asian lady finds a job that appreciates her soon. read more

Food was great! Not too many places open in the area and didn't want to visit a place twice so we went here, which was better than expected. The bison cheese burger was very better than other places we tried. One of the best huckleberry pies in town!!! I firmly believe the bun makes the burger and this bun was good! There are a lot good souvenirs in this store and a huge arcade for kids. Nice staff. Ample parking. We'll be back. read more

My Family went all around the park and the different shops and then came to Willows HuckleberryLand and the prices were way better than everywhere else on shirts and souvenirs and they were not gouging people and an employee at the other big Huckleberry Shop in town actually recommended HuckLand saying the pie and shakes are great ! read more

We've been going to the Huckleberry Patch for years, so when we found out it was closed yesterday (March 8) we decided to try Willow's Huckleberry Land instead... and wow, what a wonderful surprise. The pie was honestly the best huck pie we've ever had. The crust was perfectly flaky and buttery, and the huckleberries were so flavorful and fresh. Every bite was incredible. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into it. We all agreed The ice cream they serve with the pie was excellent. They've been making their huck pie from the same family recipe since 1949, and it shows. It's a family-owned place and there's something really special about that tradition being carried on for so long. We love that family tradition. We have been coming to Montana for 14 years and we love huckleberry pie and have tried a lot of them over the years, but this one truly stands out. The other pies just don't compare. So it's huckleberry season in Montana and this little humble berry is the pride of Montanans (though it's the state fruit of Idaho). Huckleberry ice cream is offered practically everywhere, although being a lactose-intolerant person I like to forgo a gastric disaster when it's within my control. While driving through Hungry Horse, we noted several establishments touting their huckleberry offerings so we were enticed to stop at Huckleberry Land because the sign proclaimed "Huckleberry Jam and Pie Factory". I can't resist a claim like that. The store smelled delicious when we entered. It smelled like pancakes or maybe pie, I'm not sure now. Half of the store had Montana-themed merch and the other half had a food counter, a mural of St Mary's Lake with 50s style huckleberry and white chairs and tables. It was all kind of random but we came for the pie. It was on a paper plate, Saran-wrapped, but it was a damn fine pie, bursting with huckleberries (kind of like a milder blueberry), with a light and tender golden crust. It was not too sweet. Now I saw photos commemorating that this was voted the #2 huckleberry pie in Montana, bonafide. Worth a stop! The coffee (which was microwaved) was not so good. read more

Fantastic selection of Montana products in the store. The restaurant is fun too. Felt like we were back in the 60s again. LOVED the Huckleberry Pie Alamode and his famous Huckleberry Milkshakes!!! When we got to the counter the person working (possibly the owner) took out his phone to show his You Tube channel to the person In front of us and addressed all of us to show a video. I was saddened by the content as hateful of trans people and not at all hospitable to customers. Using words like disgusting and making a political statement - I almost walked away and should have. [Covid] Take Out. Heads up: They do NOT require masks here. If you're uncomfortable with that then I suggest you find another Huckleberry place. My review is also not affected by that policy. I made the choice to enter well aware of their no mask policy (we wore masks). Also because there was nothing else open in the area. Cute little gift shop with a restaurant. They have a great selection of Glacier Park apparel & a variety of Huckleberry items. Lots of souvenirs (stickers, mugs, and magnets) in different styles. We got a couple of shirts here at a very reasonable price. Now, the restaurant - they sell burgers & breakfast food. Could take 10-30 minutes depending on how busy & their sign also says to give them a little grace because most of their crew decided to quarantine. LOL. But anyways, what we really came here for was the Huckleberry pie, shake, & ice cream. All of which really lived up to the hype. The pie (precut and already sitting on the counter top) still tasted delicious, especially a la mode. It came with a scoop of Huckleberry ice cream and another one which we can't break down the flavors (tasted nutty with a hint of coffee?) but still very delicious. The shake was also good. What we didn't like? A few things. Restroom wasn't well kept. There was stain everywhere and fresh droppings. Ran out of soap. There was only one guy working both the restaurant and the gift shop. He wasn't very happy to help anyone out. Which makes sense because he had to run back and forth to different counters.
