She would put unauthorized charges on our invoice and when asked about these additional charges she responded with an attitude, cutting the conversation short saying she would give us a call back about it(which she never did). A week before the event, she called us to confirm details: the name and the age of the birthday person, and somehow, after telling her the correct information on the call(which is also the invoice) she managed to get the age wrong. All of this with no apology or acknowledgment whatsoever. However, the catering staff did an excellent job and were very kind, which was unfortunately overshadowed by the indecorum of Trish. Although Trish did a great job on the decorations, I would absolutely not recommend booking with her due to the amount of unprofessionalism we experienced.

I knew I had chosen the right bakery for my specialty cookies. Side Note: they have a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake that's to DIE FOR! On the day of the tea party, I stopped by the business to pick up my treats. Fun cake pops, chocolate chip and sugar cookies were all in my order. SBL is a home based bakery, so I picked my order up from the family home. The woman that met me at the door was so nice. Just a pleasant encounter from start to finish. The cookies themselves were absolutely perfect! My vision came to life! They not only looked beautiful, they were very delish! However, during one of my meetings, my client and I were bragging about how tasty the Bagels were when a gentleman seated in the adjacent booth informed us that he was the one who delivered the delicious treats. Still, we knew the monotone in his voice indicated he wasn't happy about his delivery job. So, upon inquiring, he stated that the pay was decent but could be better considering the amount of driving and manual labor. Upper management at Uptown Bakers doesn't keep their word with the employees and appears to be consistently months late issuing bonuses quarterly. Immediately, I felt appalled and put the bagel down as he explained that his child was due to have surgery and the bonuses would help pay his copay. This company needs to do better.

The waffle is a bit doughier than the traditional Belgian waffle cousin but it had a really nice crunch on the edges. I'm a huge fan of texture so this was right up my alley.
