I now get filler injections to correct reduction of my nose bridge and height. It's not even close but I need eyeglasses so it helps my morale and functioning.. The post rhino uneven nostrils have become moreso with age. Reshaping my nostrils was done to give me a more afrocentric appearance which I thought was strange until I was sent by Dr Porter to another doctor who gave me a speech on Black Pride. I am biracial Black and just wanted to fix a nose that was broken twice and never repaired in the United States Air Force. The original request was to stabilize and refine the tip of my nose. Unfortunately I ended up with a poor result with permanent rhinitis and headaches, uneven nostrils and a pug nose that requires over $20k to revise. I use fillers to get enough projection to wear eyeglasses every two years. I wanted to still look like part of my family. That's the greatest irony because we all identify as African American.

I selected Dr Porter because of her schooling, boards, and positions she holds within the medical community. However, looking back none of those things really speak to her skills. Unlike several good plastic surgeons she does not have a good body of work and looking back i should have avoided this place because she literally made no positive impact on my nose or undereye and charged a significant amount of money. Beware that she will take fussy before pictures and have her present and print the projected before and after pictures. What she did to me after the surgery was claim she had a different idea in mind vs what we discussed. Im telling you, stay away!!! This place does not have talented doctors and they prey upon minorities like myself. We work too hard for our money to be tricked by snakeoil doctors. Again, look at how weak her social media is in terms of patient before and after and how limited her before and after results are within the office. Then consider other doctors who are tagging their happy patients and posting results daily. Again you have been warned!!!

Highly recommend him if you're considering fillers, particularly if you're a first timer and a little (or a lot) on the scared side like me. A+ for sure! Worth mentioning a second doctor whose first name was Kelly, though I did not get her last name. There was no apology for missing the appointment, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, and no respect for my time. A response 1 hour and 8 minutes after a scheduled appointment without any proactive communication beforehand is unprofessional. Even if Dr. Cohen is considered a top plastic surgeon, I would never proceed with this office. The patient care coordinator is often the first point of contact and a reflection of the practice as a whole. If this is the level of communication during the intake process, I can only imagine the disorganization that might occur during pre- and post-operative care.

Review sent to the office manager…read more "After today's visit I was obligated to submit my review to you, Yelp, Google Reviews, ZocDoc and Better Business Bureau. Below are some highlights from my experience: - Initial appointment w/ Dr. Brown: Overall it was an ok appointment. I had to ask how much the treatment he had planned was going to be (this was my first time getting botox and filler). No before and after photos were taken (I requested for ones be taken of my nose so I could see the difference). Majority if not all practices take before and after pictures to show the patient what was done and to show the results (patient satisfaction). Additionally, I never signed a treatment plan- that is unheard of. I consider this a liability for your practice! o No f/u appointment was scheduled. I currently work in a hospital and have worked in a clinical office AND have friends who work in plastics and they were all surprised when a 2 week f/u appointment was not offered or scheduled. These appointments are scheduled to f/u with the patient and see how they feel about the results and if needed do "touch-ups" as a courtesy. o I had to request to schedule my next botox appointment (end of October) the reception did not even ask me or suggest it. This would have been a perfect opportunity for her to promote the $50 credit if I booked my future appointment today. Thank goodness I asked. - Second appointment with Jennifer: She is awesome! I purchased a new skin care regime with her guidance! 5 stars for her! - Third appointment (today): When I called to make this appointment (mind you this was the earliest date available) I had a conversation with the receptionist stating that I was looking for a touch-up since I was not satisfied and expected better results. I made it clear that a touch-up would be considered as courtesy visit- she agreed and said it our practice offers courtesy touch-up appointments. o During my visit, I had a conversation w/ Dr. Brown about my concerns and that I was expecting better results. He did not mention how many more units he was going to do or how many filler syringes he intended to use. I figured he would do this out of courtesy. Time to check out I was asked to pay ~$1,260.00 I was surprised and told the receptionist I thought this was a courtesy visit. She stated initial appointment as in July and the touch up timeframe had passed. I told her it is because this was his soonest appointment. She stated she spoke with you to see if you could do anything regarding my situation. Below are the requests I stated: I thought this appointment was considered a touch-up appointment. Despite no discounts being offer, I requested for the filler syringe to be discounted to $850 instead of $900 since this was technically my third syringe. Request denied by the manager. Despite not knowing how many units of botox were used, no discount was offered. Overall, horrible experience with the office. No photos nor treatment plan was provided. No discounts on the third appointment were offered. Most offices, due to the miscommunication, would provide me a discount or charge me at cost prices- neither was offered or granted. Please go ahead and cancel my future appointment, because I have no intentions on returning to this office nor do I plan on referring any friends or family here."

I bought a service through Groupon that Dr. Cohen did not feel I was qualified for. We discussed another option and he told me his staff would get my money back from Groupon. They did not try. Instead I felt rushed to schedule and pay for the other option. After a few days I phoned Marina and told her I didn't feel comfortable going ahead. I did not ask for a refund of my deposit of over $1000, however, she brought it up and said she would speak to Dr. Cohen since it had only been a couple of days since my visit. I DID NOT HEAR FROM HER AFTER A WEEK AND CALLED BACK - LEFT A MESSAGE. ANOTHER WEEK PASSED AND NO CALL. I have an issue when people don't keep their word and ghost you. I am also uncomfortable with the approach she took pushing me to decide on the spot, rather than letting me go home and think about the procedure. It's a shame that a good surgeon would surround himself with people of little integrity.

Prices fluctuated for no reason and without warning; my face work wore off a year later (was supposed to last a decade), giant scars under my ears; at a certain point, when you have spent more than a down payment on a nice house, they decided that they no longer wanted my money and literally refused to treat me. I am not an irrational person. I have a disability which makes exercise impossible and am on a medication which makes me gain weight without eating. Apparently Dr. Singh is tired of seeing me undressed or something. I also was wrapped so poorly after the third round of corrective lipo that I was forced to buy medical wraps online. Did I mention that the policy changed from providing a medical grade garment that you can't take off for 4 days to a week to "buy your own?" The prices vaccillate depending on mood. A small touch-up could be 3k. I have keloid scars all over the back of my legs. Areas of the body are randomly changed. And they decide when you are happy with the results by making you ashamed for not being grateful with your current body. The customer is not always right, basically. I don't see the danger in going back in for maintenance work (and I've always paid whatever random price that hour held without complaint) and am not expecting miracles. I am the literal perfect candidate for lipo. It is made for people who cannot lose weight with diet and exercise. I eat clean, exercise, and unfortunately have no metabolism thanks to lengthy steroid use due to a suppressed adrenal gland. So, if you want to feel like a bad person for asking for lipo, and to progressively be treated with less and less care and respect, this is for you! I'm not posting pictures because even after all the money I've spent, and my reasonable expectations (skin will not snap back, fine. Will not look 19, fine. Just want to be able to wear one smaller pants size), I don't feel comfortable with the scarring. I'd love to sling more money at them, but I'm not allowed. Oh, and yet they will not recommend a different practice. Dog in a manger?

I had a septo-rhinoplasty, so both he and my ENT (who was also excellent) did the surgery together. I had a double deviated septum, nose was a little crooked, collapsed nasal passages, etc...the whole 9. I actually needed my nose widened and rebuilt with spreader graphs, and it was a success. My surgery was a piece of cake...I actually never really felt pain and didn't need my pain meds once home. While I got really nervous once the splint and banadages were off, after a couple of weeks when my nose settled, I LOVED the final result! I feel like this is the nose I was supposed to have, much more straight and beautiful!! IMO Dr. Friedman did a wonderful job. I was nervous as hell beforehand and right after (I mean it's a NOSE after all lol), but I love it. I was fine with his bedside manner, felt a tiny bit rushed at times but he is/was a very busy surgeon so... I felt like he was very honest with me. I had asked him about doing something to my nose that I wanted, and he looked me over and said he wouldn't recommend it because "people pay me a lot of money to have your nose." I was initially disappointed because I thought I could walk in there and presto get exactly what I wanted. His result was more subtle than what I asked for but it is beautiful and definitely a HUGE improvement from the before!!!!
