The staff here is caring and efficient, tailoring your physical therapy routine to your exact needs. The office is a little outdated, but that won't affect your quality of care. I like that they didn't seem to rush my appointment. Appointments are plentiful - you won't have to wait long for yours. The receptionist will also call you for cancellations if you request it. The biggest downside is parking. Only street parking is available. All street parking in this area is metered and limited to 1 hour. Your physical therapy appointment will probably be more than an hour. I downloaded the ParkSmarter app so I could pay for more parking from the office, but you'll need to remember the code on your meter. Do NOT park in the attached parking lot in the building!! Wilshire PT will NOT validate for you. I had to pay $12 to park for an hour - seems backwards when you're here for physical therapy and you actually need the closer parking, right? The parking attendants won't mention that it costs anything when you say you're going to physical therapy either. Had they said, oh, PT doesn't validate, I would've gone somewhere else. read more

My mom has been attending sessions here for a few weeks to treat a knee injury. She's 69 and I was concerned that therapy would be hard for her and she wouldn't see it through (she's a stubborn one). She lucked out being referred to Wiltshire Center PT. I talk to her daily and, everyday she has therapy, she tells me how well everything went. She says, she's very happy with how well the staff treats her. Everyone is courteous, attentive and patient. The facility and equipment are clean and well maintained. This place is a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE. I had to work with Sandy, the physical therapist and it was an absolute nightmare. She has a nasty attitude towards her clients, and is VERY unprofessional. I remember doing a physical assessment for a knee and shoulder dislocation I received via car incident; She kept cutting me off mid-sentence when asked about my injuries and then proceeded to tell me "what is the point of you being here" and that I "talk too much" for questions that she asked! Just because you have a medical degree does not mean you have people skills nor common sense. You being a "medical professional" does not give you the grounds or authority to talk to anyone let alone a patient in that type of manner. This place is both disgusting and overwhelmed! I walked through the door and was hit in the face with a heavy odor. The glass at the receptionist's desk is so dirty it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The photo of the carpeting from 4 months ago has apparently been edited because that carpeting looks fairly new and clean. The actual carpeting in the facility looks like it was once gray but is so old and dirty it's literally black in high traffic areas, smells as though it's never been cleaned, and needs to be torn up and replaced. There wasn't much air circulation in the room, if any at all. I went to put my things in a locker and when I finally found one that was available it smelled so bad I was hesitant to use it but there were no other options. The therapist took me to a table and turned me over to one of her younger assistants who gave me instructions on a specific stretch and then he walked away...and was gone for a long time. He left me on my own for long periods of time a few times without checking to make sure I was using proper form during the stretches, and anyone who's had therapy knows that form is as important as the stretch itself. Eventually the therapist came over and made him aware that it was my first time there and he needed to stay with me to make sure I was stretching correctly since I didn't know the routine. Once again, he gave me a stretch and walked away. I have serious injuries and went there for serious help. I left frustrated and won't be returning. It's such a shame, it has the potential to be a great space to heal. read more

After having a terrible accident on the streets of LA as a Pedestrian and being hit by a raging Scooter that ran into me my primary care physician referred me to Wilshire Center Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation Center. I am so grateful for all the assistance the Physical Therapists provided. I was always treated with kindness and care. They accommodated my work schedule so I could have regular therapy sessions each week until I healed. After weeks of varied stretches and strengthening exercises I am able to walk with minimal pain and I have learned how to continue my healing. I have had a very mixed experience here. I'll start by saying that Jim Larsen is an incredible PT, I've never felt so safe and cared for with a medical practitioner. He really listens to me, pays attention to my movement and experience, and seems to genuinely care about my progress. It's unfortunate I often have to wait weeks to get in to see him but worth it. What I am struggling with is having to deal with the girl at the front desk. I've left their office multiple times shaking or in tears because of her attitude and straight out lies. She has moved my appointment without telling me then blamed me for missing it, she has lied to my face multiple times about conversations we had on the phone (Im assuming to save face in front of management). When she is wrong or makes a small error, rather than just apologizing and moving on she pushes blame onto me and often gets an attitude. Not only has this wasted ours of my time driving into the city, parking, etc only to have to leave because of her not doing her job correctly, it's left me so stressed and tight I can't get much benefit from my session. I've worked front desk at and managed medical clinics, I have a lot of compassion for complex scheduling, customer service, people in pain, etc. There is absolutely no excuse for the way she has treated me and for the lack of integrity. I would honestly go elsewhere if my insurance would allow it, but I have to go here. Luckily Jim and the PT assistants are wonderful so Ill stick it out. Oh- if you're scent sensitive, fair warning that one of the staff members often wears a lot of cologne to the point of giving me a headache. read more

I finished my 19 sessions of occupational therapy for a fractured wrist. I had been there four years before for physical therapy for my knees. while the front desk woman was very kind i was received with such a weird and rude attitude by who i assume was sandy canout. my prescription was out of date and she literally 'confronted' me about it as if i was trying to scam her? or something? i said i'd call in the morning to have them update it or that i'd leave my credit card # as collateral if they're worried about being able to bill my insurance and she said 'you either come with a correct prescription or pay cash now' i asked how much it would be and she told me to ask the receptionist and walked away in a huff. it was so weirdly hostile that the receptionist apologized on her behalf. cant imagine going through something as intimate as phys therapy with someone like that. i know its covid and stressful and hot but still, sucks to go home empty handed and now have to find someplace else because i had such a negative experience dealing w her. the facility itself was small and carpeted and felt very outdated read more

If you've ever needed an adjustment to your neck then you probably know how important it is to have a chiropractor in your life. My neck was so stiff, and I was feeling sluggish and apathetic, and without the energy to go through the work day. I was able to make an appointment on short notice, and they were so accommodating that I was able to get my adjustment and walk out of their office taller and feeling clearer than I had before arriving. Felix Canout is a true genius, at the very least for sure when it comes to the human body. I'm cynical, so if I see a stellar review I usually think the service provider in question must have had a friend, family member, or employee write such glowing praise. I can assure you that I had no contact with Felix or anyone from his staff prior to coming to his office out of desperation. I came to him in May 2012 with chronic and debilitating knee and hip pain accompanied with swelling. I went to another highly recommended and well reviewed physical therapist regarding the issues months before, but I felt like I was just another cog in the machine being swiftly shown the exit within my 1hr time frame regardless of how much progress was made, and frankly that I was just wasting my time while progressively getting worse, so I stopped. In the span of time between the other PT (to remain nameless) and Felix, I visited numerous orthopedic surgeons in search of find a solid diagnosis and hope that it could once and for all be fixed. I got the same answer from each specialist, basically telling me to just seek out therapy to treat the issue locally, and take anti-inflammatory meds. No one was able to get to the root of the issue, and I wanted a permanent fix, not a proverbial band-aid. Armed with my numerous PT prescriptions as the only provided hope to combat my issue, I want on a mission to find the best in town. Given my previous experience I figured it for a fools errand, but I had no other choice. Thank to extremely awesome insurance, I had the great problem of having too many PT's in my network to choose from, with no logical or discernible way to distinguish one from the next. I decided to look for providers within a 10 mile radius, and consult with everyone that had any decent reviews online. Felix had few, and less than fantastic reviews so I was initially very skeptical, however he stood out from the pack immediately. I first noticed that the consult was taking way longer than expected. It turns out that is bc although everyone else I saw was in a rush to get me out, he had was intent on finding out the root of my issue. This showed me that he actually cared which is something I hadn't felt in any other office. He went on to ask me questions that I felt seemed unrelated, which in retrospect is due to the fact no one else had the insight to pick up on the issues and ask the right questions. He ended up picking up on something that no one else has, including nationally ranked "best doctors" orthopedic surgeons, and explained what he felt was the leading cause of my symptoms and how he would treat. Although his cause theory and recommended treatment was radically different than what was recommended anywhere else, I figured I should take the chance since I felt so at ease. I'm now 2 months into my therapy and I feel better than I have in years. I'm experiencing something that I longed for, but had yet to make anywhere else; noticeable progress. Felix is truly a caring provider who takes the time to assess, strategize, and treat the issue no matter if we go over our "1hr appt". To top it off, even the staff are all extremely caring, friendly, and knowledgeable. Although the facility and equipment isn't state of the art, or world class, I now know that is no substitute for an experienced and extremely knowledgeable provider who actually gives a s***. BTW, they do have enough proper equipment to get you fixed, it's just not the shiny glitz and glam that I initially sought out. I hope you too get to experience the feeling of being cared for, and the comfort of knowing that you are actually making progress and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If that sounds appealing to you, then definitely see Felix. In my opinion, if you aren't receiving that level of treatment then you are doing yourself a disservice and wasting your time. I actually got horrible treatment here after surgery for a broken wrist. Lots of issues: the place doesn't seem clean. What's with the chamois-covered pillows everybody rests their arms on? they look disgusting. Then, when Sandy (the owner) came up to tell me to wash my hands before she would apply lotion on my wrist scar, she rubbed under her nose vigorously before she started the massage work, with no gloves. This is not acceptable. The staff circulates, and shares patients in the middle of treatments. They are gossiping all the time. Sandy the most. She told me all about her cruise to Mexico, which was great except for stopping in Mexico. Then she had an extended discussion with several staff within 20 feet of her, waving her hands in the middle of the massage. She walked off and left me with another staff person, and when I asked her a followup question about my treatment, she started a sentence but broke off and walked in the back to talk to another staff member, and never returned. I figured I was done. Just a mention about their business practices. I had a referral from my doctor, and walked over to the office to see it and make my first appointment. I asked what the fee was (I was unemployed and uninsured), the receptionist left for quite awhile and came back and told me it was $120 for the first consultation and $60 per visit after that. I went in two weeks later, and was charged $140. When I complained, they insisted that that was their right, that was the fee. They didn't care that the person responsible for communicating to clients had misquoted (I think she was a temp employee who had worked there before). Anyway, it was a shabby experience, I don't know what I'd do if I were in the same situation again being offered such bad care. I did write to Sandy and her husband, with a copy to my doctor, but nobody replied. read more

Im afraid I did not have a great experience. The staff is well intentioned and very kind, but the management is a different story. I felt like I was on a conveyer belt, receiving standardized treatment. A couple specific shortcomings: the first day I was there I had the misfortune of witnessing one of the managers viciously scolding a receptionist. It made me so sick and so sad. And at the end, when my prescribed number of visits ran out, there was no home program, no reminding me I had reached the end, nothing. Did my injury improve? Yes it did, but I still have a ways to go. For round 2 of PT I have already found a different PT clinic that meets my needs better. read more

This review is for whoever does their billing. But really there is no excuse for this kind of bull... If this is your front office this is who you are as a business. Completely unrelated to my PT, I had a possible cancer diagnosis and my follow up was the same day as my PT visit. As I had not yet met my deductible for that year I told the person at the desk of the concurrent visits and that the billings would hit at about the same time. And the person at the desk said no problem. However with my first statement, and for two months of incorrect bills thereafter, none of which reflected my insurance payment, I received a collection agency notice stamp. When I did finally receive a bill for the correct amount ($125) it said FINAL NOTICE BEFORE COLLECTION. So if you are afraid you might be dying and are experiencing excruciating leg pain and want to be terrified some more and want to go to a doctor who will send your bill to a collection agency for $125 so that your relatives will be hounded for your bills after you die this is the place for you. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I can't say anything but great things about this office. From the therapist and aids to the front desk everyone was so professional. They were able to accommodate me very quickly and had very early and late office hours, which were so convenient because of my work hours. I was treated after my knee surgery and the therapist was very knowledgeable and took great care of me. I enjoyed being treated by this facility. My father and grandmother also had surgery so I recommended them this facility. They both had the same great care I did and speak very highly of the care they received!
