My friend has cancer. We tried to go by the store so she could try on an assortment of wigs but found out the store was closed. I left a message on voicemail and my call was returned the next day. But I feel like being closed when my friend felt good enough to go out was a huge disappointment. A lot of women in the Valley are undergoing treatments that are debilitating and embarrassing. The recent negative reviews are not wrong. I tried to call SEVERAL times and most of the time i couldn't leave a voicemail. I tried emailing to no response. I drove over and it looks dumpy, locked up and graffiti on the windows. I used to love this store. There's a sign in the window that it is by appointment only with the same number listed. I ordered a wig online. My cc was charged and received email that it would ship in 9 business days. Then NOTHING! No wig, no email. I sent an email and no response. Left phone message, also nothing. My cc company contacted them and then I got an email promising shipment in 2 days, but still NOTHING! Again, no response from emails or phone message. As with other recent posts, past experience was good but things have changed. My order that was "processed" on Jan 29, 2025 and charged to my credit card on the same day, had no updates through mid-February. First request for update received no response. In my second message one week later on Feb 27 I notified them that notwithstanding their statement that once an order is "processed it cannot be cancelled," if I did not hear back with shipping status immediately I would have my credit card company reverse the charge. Low and behold, the next day not only did I received shipping advice, but they shipped Priority Mail! While it is not illegal to charge prior to shipment, what this company is now doing is not good practice. There are lots of other wig suppliers out there. I had never ordered from Wilshire Wigs, so I thought I would give them a try. The service was terrible. I placed my order and after 10 days I hadn't heard a word. I emailed them, I did so many times and never heard back. I just kept on them regarding my order. I just wanted to know when they planned on shipping my order. After 5 emails they answered back and gave me a shipping date with no tracking information. That date came and went, still nothing. I sent them another email and said I was disgusted with the service. They finally sent me an email promising me a refund. My refund was given by them. But seriously, this was an exhausting experience. I would NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. I don't recommend this establishment. It was the most awful experience I've ever had trying to make a purchase. Like many former and/or longtime customers, I was very disappointed when I finally found them at their new location. I can been online and found several wigs I thought I might purchase, and was excited to be able to come and try them on. Much to my chagrin, there was a sign on the door that said "Appointments only," with a non-refundable $20 service charge to reserve (although the fee would be credited toward a purchase). I called the phone number given and got a message that said to only leave a message to confirm a shipping order or return. Nothing about "Thank you for calling, please leave your name & number and we will get back to you." I must say I do appreciate reading these reviews which confirmed my fears. First time they resolved it -- huge delay on delivery - multiple emails sent by me - they never responded but did send the wig. Eventually. I should have known better to try them again. I am an alopecia patient of 32 years and cocunting. In the past I had ordered from Wilshire wigs successfully. Last spring I placed an order for 2 wigs and when I received the order I did not like the color. I sent them back for an exchange and never heard from Wilshire again. I unsuccessfully tried to reach them through email, phone calls and even letters, to no avail. Not only did I never hear back from them but I am out over 200 dollars. I've used for about 10 yrs & have ordered several wigs - always very satisfied with quality, shipping & customer service. Recently placed an order and, after not receiving product or any communication, I emailed customer service for a status update. I waited to hear back and never did. I then sent a second request for shipping status. Again - never heard back. I then received fraudulent charges from other merchants with the credit card used to place the wig order. I immediately contacted Chase and explained that I believe the card information given to Wilshire Wigs had been used for fraud as I had no communications regarding the wig order. All fraudulent charges have been removed including the wig order and the credit card was "killed". Needless to say, I am very disappointed but also angry that they have a dishonest person in their employ. You've lost a good customer forever! read more

I have used WW for over 20 years. Was surprised by its move to Van Nuys and the subsequent negative reviews that poured in since then. I too was frustrated at the auto phone message and even more so when I learned that there were currently NO IN SHOWROOM appointments. However I did get timely return calls from Caroline after leaving messages and decided to give WW another try. I ordered Noriko and Renee of Paris wigs and received my order from a local distributor within 3 days. I was pleased with the products, price and follow through. I have been a costumer for over 4 years now. Used to love this place and the whole crew. Placed an order Jan 26/2024 and haven't received yet. The item was supposedly in stock. I contacted this company over and over again. I have received no response. I'm sure selling a previously used wig should be a health code violation. I sent them pictures of this wig.
