I have curly hair and received a bad cut about 6-9 months ago.... hence a bunch of lopsided and weighted curls going on. I figured I needed to get a lob or bob because my curls were so weighted they were no longer bouncy. Eboni did an assessment of my hair, which was that I had uneven layers that were saying down my curls. She told me she did not need to cut my hair short, but Recommended cleaning up my layers and cutting off the dead ends. After doing a yummy deep conditioning treatment she proceeded with cutting my hair. Once I dried and used a pick to pull up my curls from my scalp....there they were bouncy curls!!! I was desperately searching for a hairstylist in or near the Burbank area. I asked around to friends if they had a hairstylist they could recommend and no one seemed to know anyone. So, today I did something I never would have done before, I got online and googled for a hairstylist that specialized in African American hair-weaves specifically. Immediately I noticed how pleasant and friendly Eboni was over the phone. She answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease about the style of hair care she provided. I liked what I was hearing and told her I would like to get in for an appointment as soon as possible. I was so excited when she said she could see my daughter that same day! So, once my daughter got out of school today, I took her in to see Eboni. Eboni greeted us with a huge smile when she approached us and made us feel very comfortable. The salon was extremely nice and professional. Eboni first consulted with my 16 year old daughter about the style she wanted and then began to work on her hair. When I came back a couple hours later to pick my daughter up, I was blown away at how fabulous her hair looked! Eboni had transformed her into a little super model!! It is impossible to find someone to consistently do my natural hair well. It is impossible to get a last minute hair appointment in Los Angeles. It is impossible to find someone friendly who doesn't act like they are doing you a favor by going to their salon. This is not Eboni. Seriously if you are like me and picky about who does your hair, you should try her SCHEDULING I have to thank Eboni because she is truly a gem. She found a way to squeeze me in on a Thursday evening despite me contacting her the day of. I found her on google / yelp and her team promptly responded to my yelp message. She made no promises though - she was honest about her busy schedule and kept me posted throughout the day about when she might have some time. When I was able to book, her team sent me a text message with prices and details about the location in case I had trouble finding it. Definitely a plus because Los Angeles can get tricky. QUALITY As I mentioned I am natural, and I have not straightened my hair in about 3 years. I was terrified of going to a new stylist for the first time and having them damage my hair with a hot comb, etc. When I arrived my hair was on maybe day 4 of a wash n' go. Most stylists will get intimidated by my hair or pissed at me but she was kind and patient. The final product was amazing. I got tons of compliments all week - beautiful, shiny, soft, the list goes on. And yes it swings and bounces in the wind. SERVICE She has a candy jar, and I was somehow strong enough to not eat any. When you sit at the wash bowl, she has a foot rest! She offered me water and tea. I originally wanted a more expensive style however she chatted with me about what I was looking for and we wound up just straightening my hair and not adding any tracks. I was pleased that she was thinking of my needs and not just thinking of making money. These things are small yes, but I am all about details. LOCATION There is a parking lot!!!!!! Need I say more I don't have any pictures really to share but in conclusion, I will definitely be back to have her straighten my hair.
