Based on that understanding, I moved forward with confidence in the process. However, during the Zoom meeting with my ex-spouse and her attorney, the direction changed significantly. When her attorney stated her position regarding the house and inheritance, I felt that I was strongly encouraged to accept those terms rather than having my position more firmly advocated. I repeatedly heard that I should "just take it" because it was the best I was going to get. Looking back, I regret not reviewing his client feedback before retaining him. My experience aligns closely with the concerns others have raised. Throughout this process, I often felt that communication was dismissive and, at times, condescending rather than supportive or advisory. I was also disappointed in the level of preparation and representation during our Zoom meeting. It did not appear that he was fully prepared, and much of the discussion involved reviewing materials I had already provided, rather than advocating my position with a clear strategy. I would never recommend Martin!! He's a terrible lawyer.
