I have known about Wilson's Auto Tech for over 30 years and frankly, I should have gone to them long ago. These guys have Tech/Mechanics that know more than most Dealers. They still repair stuff instead of whole replacements. Most of the good Mechanics at the dealers have retired. I Took our 2008 CRV in for maintenance, such as changing belts and fluids. After reading the code after the engine light came on, they gave me a list of 8 possible things that it could be, and wanted me to start replacing from the least to the most expensive parts until the light went out!! I went to another shop and they diagnosed it and all it turn out to be was a $.84 fuse. read more

I used to take my car for servicing to the dealership, at least when it was under warranty. But the prices were too high. The trick is, it's tough to find a mechanic to trust anywhere. Thank goodness a friend of mine recommended Wilson's Auto Tech. Wilson's specializes in Hondas and Toyotas. I've been taking my vehicle to them since 2008, and I've always been really happen with not only the work they do -- which is terrific -- but the level of customer service they provide. From the friendly front-desk staff to the hilarious, animated and kind shuttle driver Daniel, I'm glad to have found a place to take my car that isn't a chore, or a total gouge fest. The people at Wilson's always check with you before starting work, and offer sound advice as to what repairs can be deferred and which ones are mission critical for the continued functioning of your car. Update: I finally had the chance to try out Wilson's for more than just an oil change. My older Civic was running consistently rough and had an engine light. I dropped it off, and made it clear that I was in no hurry, as it was my summer car. I requested an oil change and a diagnosis a condition I specifically described. After a month, and no word from them at all, I called. They said it was fixed, just a loose wire, and charged me for an hour of diagnosis time, just to go over the car. Ok, more than I was hoping to pay, but its fixed. A week of driving the car again, and it is clear it is not fixed. I took it back. They wanted to charge me again for diagnosis time. I pointed out that it was the exact same issue I had dropped it off for earlier, and it turns out they could not duplicate the problem on the first visit, but just tightened the battery cable and hoped for the best! (after checking out the car). This should not have happened after I described the conditions so carefully and waited until the car was consistently misbehaving. They decided to waive the fee this time around, and suggested a part that needed replacing. The good news is that they had the best price to replace that part, and the work was done quickly and properly this time, with some shop supplies thrown in. In conclusion? Mistakes happen, and you can't get a car to misbehave every time. When I pointed out how I felt wronged, they were quick to correct it, and the repair price was pretty good. Some good, some bad, but I appreciate their response to my concern. Communication doesn't appear to be their forte, but the price is good. read more

After having an extremely sour experience with the servicing department of the dealership I purchased my car from, I decided to get a 2nd opinion by taking my car to Wilson's Auto Tech. Turned out to be a great decision. They had the issue on my car diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours - which was intermittent to boot - and for less money than I paid my dealership NOT to fix the problem. The irony is my dealership wants me to come back into them to get $1200 of repairs labeled as "Caution" - aka needed to be fixed in the next calendar year. Like I'd ever trust their judgement now after they never fixed my problem. Wilson's Auto Tech experience was WAY better. The staff is great, they fixed my issue promptly and charged me a reasonable amount of money to do it. Now I can tell you who I trust to service my car and who I don't. The former is Wilson's Auto Tech. The latter is my dealership. read more

Wow what Exceptional service. My car broke down on Tuesday around 11:30 am so I called a tow truck then I called Wilsons they said they probably would not be able to look at it until the next day (which was understandable) They called me about 430 the same day and said good news, I thought that I had lost my transmission but it turned out to be broken axles a lot less expensive than a transmission. They called me on Wednesday and had my car all fixed and ready to go, Wow a Great Big Thanks is all I can say and I will be giving them all of my business from now on. There are not enough kudos for Wilsons!! We have been servicing our 12 year old Honda Pilot at Wilson's since they were recommended to us years ago. It's ALWAYS great, friendly, HONEST service. They keep our clunky old pilot running like new (Well over 260000km now), they will tell us when things don't need to be repaired just yet and they only fix the things that need to be fixed at the time. (Even with free oil changes at Honda, they always found 'something else' wrong). Recently we had our vehicle in for just a routine service. It was running great, as usual, for a couple of weeks then the Engine started making weird noises. We dropped it off that night (no appointment) and called Wilson's in the morning. They assessed it and fixed it the next day because they wanted us to have our vehicle back for the weekend. AND all at no charge! They deemed it to be a faulty part they had installed on a previous service which shouldn't have failed so they were going to look after it. If that's not an honest mechanic we don't know what is. We recommend them to everyone we know. Too bad they only service Hondas, Toyotas and Acuras so all our friends could use them. read more

We received a quote from the Honda dealership to change a part and called Wilson's Auto Tech with the exact part and services needed. The representative assured us that they had the part in stock and could beat Honda's price by a couple hundred dollars. However, when we dropped off the vehicle, we were told that they did not in fact have the part in stock and the part was not even made in the after-market brand they used. Instead, they would have to order the assembly from Honda. This would in turn take an additional day and increase the cost. I asked Wilson's to honor their original quote since they had made the mistake in quoting a price for a part that does not even exist for that model vehicle and the price differential was the entire reason we selected them for the work. I was told that I was being unreasonable and that if they did that, they would not make any money on the work. I feel like we did our homework to get an informed estimate, Wilson's dropped the ball on their end and then would not even acknowledge the inconvenience that it caused. I have been going to Wilson's for 5 years and I have never met a more honest group of people in the auto business. I have both a Toyota and Honda and they have serviced them exclusively. Wilson and Sid are great to deal with, professional with very fair pricing. Frankly if you hear otherwise, it is because these are not long time customers or have had a one off experience. I've been taking our cars here for several years as soon as they're off warranty. Good quality work at a better price than the dealer. Just before Christmas my oil pressure sensor sprung a leak. I have to update my review as the years go by. My first vehicle was a prelude which wasnt worth much so they did he best they can to find spare parts from the junk/used car parts. They cancelled my appointment ! I had an appointment for an oil change and filter for my 2 Toyotas They cancelled my appointment and said they no longer wanted my business ! Was told that I was just using them for oil change and filter. Have been a customer for over 10 years with 4 different Toyotas and Honda. Have had tune-up, wheel alignment, belts installed, front and rear brakes done, new battery, brake and transmission fluid flush done, etc. over the years.Have not had my cars serviced elsewhere. As a single woman who knows very little about cars, I appreciate the easy to understand explanations provided by the staff as to what is going on with my vehicle. I have been to several shops and Wilson's is the most reasonable, in my experience. I appreciate that they provide me with a list of problems as they arise and itemize them for me as to what needs to be done immediately and what can be put off. An oil change comes with checking my tire pressure and a complementary car wash. In a pinch, they have always been able to accommodate me. Wilson's West has a complimentary pick up and drop off - very courteous and friendly driver. I am giving Wilson's West a 4/5 only because someone with more car knowledge would be in a better position to rate them as a 5/5. read more

My low-mileage 2009 Camry has had both the left and right front coil springs break at different times, the second time at a very low speed. The first repair was done at a Toyota dealership, replacing the leaking strut and broken coil spring (see the U.S. Government's website Safercar.gov for how common leaking struts are on Camrys). The second time I went to Wilson's Auto Tech. Wilson advised switching to an aftermarket brand of strut and coil spring, as they are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle, while Toyota parts are only guaranteed for one year. I went with Wilson's advice and had both the left and right front struts and coil springs replaced with the stiffer aftermarket brand to balance the suspension. Wilson did the diagnosis and repair the same day, despite the fact that there was a delay in my returning his call on which repair option to go with. [By the way, Toyota-brand coil springs are hollow metal tubes filled with a non-metal substance. No wonder they break!] read more

Predictably premium quality service every time! I was at Wilson's Auto Tech this morning, had several serious issues with my vehicle. The good news is that Wilson's fully dealt with all of my bad news in a timely and very reasonably priced manner. Problems with my vehicle were described in a way I could understand them and I was shown where the part (the drive shaft failed), the repairs were completed in a timely manner and at a bargain price relative to all competitors - what more can I ask for? We have five drivers (and 5 vehicles in our household), Wilson's is the only place I trust to service our vehicles to ensure everyone in my family is driving a safe and reliable vehicle. I even rely on Wilson's to advise me on the best vehicles to buy based on their extensive experience. They have never let me down, I remain impressed and loyal to Wilson's - least I can do, in return for what they do for my family. read more
