My first vest I bought from here was a great deal so, my new vest had to come from Victory Leathers. I had picked it out online. Called Eddie to make sure they had one. I drive over 70 miles one way is the reason for calling. The first one I wanted was a bit tight. No problem, Eddie had a size bigger. I bought the, "Leather Vest with Buffalo Nickle Snaps", and love it. Eddie sewed on 13 patches of various sizes. I had some sale upholstery fabric from Fishman's I wanted to use and they were totally fine with that. She let me know that due to their workload they wouldn't be able to get to it until the summer, which I was ok with. The shop called when they were ready to come get the old chair and promptly picked it up the next day. The job only took a week and I paid the balance over the phone by credit card. The chair was delivered today and it looks great. The fabric worked out well and the quality of the work is excellent. I'm looking forward to sitting in it to read in our living room for many years to come.

They informed us a couple of days later that they did not have the materials that appeared in inventory for the job but could substitute some others. While we did not go forward with the order - since we did not like the alternative materials - we still give them kudos for quickly reversing the credit charge. While they may want to work on their inventory listings to provide the correct options, we have no problem with their solution. We went somewhere else for our job, but would not hesitate to give Paul's another chance. Try them.

Sadly, my leather couch and leather chair did not fair well against their razor sharp teeth. I had 2 options, buy new or pay to repair it. We had paid quite a bit brand new 10 years ago. Our warranty had expired. The company that we purchased these pieces from still offered the same set...for $2500 more than we originally paid. My husband and I agreed that if the repair cost under $1000 it would be worth the cost and better for the environment. After a few phonecalls and emails, I was finally able to connect with Leather Solutions Of Chicago. They are kind good people. They are truly worth the wait. Their skill is second to none. I was without furniture for a little over a week. I literally wanted to cry when I saw the repair. You would have never known that I had it repaired. They not only replaced the damaged pieces and restuffed the cushions, they also matched the color of the leather perfectly. We are forever grateful to Rachelle and Fidelino for restoring our beloved couch and chair.

I've had a mid century vinyl lobby chair since the late 90s that had a wrecked seat. Paul's reupholstered this chair for me recently as well and I'm happy with the results. They suggested eliminating the taffeting in the seat and retaining it only on the back to help prevent the old issue of the seat material coming apart over time and that was the right choice. I liked that look but it looks great without it too and will be more durable with regular use. The workmanship is high quality and they redid all the piping and everything just like it was. I picked out a red vinyl to match the rest of the den furniture and I'm happy with that too. Paul's also was like $300 cheaper than the comparative quote I got from another place here in town. They have free pickup and dropoff too. I'll continue using Paul's for any future reupholstering projects.

Now, I understand why Efrain, Sr was only interested in cash transactions. Earlier this year, Ancor reupholstered 4 dining room chairs so I'm confused what happened to my initial review. In any case, the upholstery was fine however; the legs on my dining room chairs were never repaired and I paid over $1269 to have 4-chairs reupholstered. My look was different but the legs on were never repaired during the upholstery process. After leaving several messages without a response from Efrain, Sr. I finally gave up. Fast forward I did find another company Ezekiel Upholstery in South Holland who not only fixed my dining room chairs BUT; at a MUCH lower price. Be ware of companies who don't take credit cards.
