I love the set-up of this store; however, the majority of the staff is less than friendly. I have frequented this store on many occasions - for hostess gifts, birthday gifts and for their selection of shoes. The store has a very nice variety of boots, booties, pumps, flats, etc. Each time I enter the store (typically a four or five times a year) I know that no one will ask me if I need help - I have to seek out the help. This has been past practice for the last few years that I have visited this store. You can imagine I only go here if a colleague or friend likes something from here that I will buy them or if I am in a pinch for some shoes. This last recent visit I was browsing the shoes and a staff member reached over me to grab a shoe for another patron and bumped me out of the way. When my body shifted fiercely, only then she said "excuse me". I went to the other side where the boots were and moments later the same staff member came and bumped me again to reach over to get a pair of shoes for someone. Maybe I am invisible. An "excuse me, please" would have gotten me out of the way (for the first and second time), without having to bulldoze me down. Hey, I already know there is no etiquette with the staff here - I don't come here to be doted on. But, please, have common curtesy when anyone comes into your facility. Greet them with a smile and say, "hello" and "excuse me". read more

When I'm in 'need' of new shoes, I always stop here first. Great brands, great selection and super helpful. It's such a fun place to browse! I've found lots of bday gifts for friends or little hostess gifts here also, they have a little bit of everything. Such a fun store! read more

Cute clothes and unique jewelry. I noticed a few things they sell that are local which I appreciate. Great selection of shoes too. Will agree with one of the reviews that most of the time the staff is not friendly. Of the many times I have been in there there have been numerous times when it was wasn't busy and not a single hello, goodbye, can I help you or thanks for stopping in from anyone. Only got to go in for a few minutes before closing time on a Sunday but I LOVED what I saw!! Very cute "boho chic" clothes but not young trendy or old tired or hippie--this store is all about the ageless, classy look which I love. Nice jewelry pieces. The prices are pretty much out of my price range but they had a generous sale section with decent prices in the back--2 racks of clothes and a big wall of purses and bags on sale. The staff seemed very friendly. Can't wait to come back to browse when I have more time. read more

Just opened and a much welcome addition to the boutique shop scene in the Western suburbs. it's like walking into your girlfriend's closet and wanting everything she looked high and low to find. Comfy and stylish tops, bottoms and dresses. Especially loved the sassy outerwear. Great accessories that make an outfit (scarves, jewelry, hats, mitts). If you are a shoe lover, welcome to heaven! And if your size isn't here, their sister store in Oak Park can send them over. I could have several of the new Frye styles, but needed to remind myself that Christmas is coming and added them to my list. Super friendly gals working in the store - lots of good advice on how to pull it all together. Worth the trip(s)! read more

Jayne is boho chic to the max! They have beautiful clothes and an extensive shoe selection that made me happy. Prices are pretty much above my cheapo price level- even thin shirts that I pay less than $10 for elsewhere are over $50 here. They do seem to have good sales though, they had a wall of 30-50% off shoes, and another wall of 70% off shoes, plus a rack of items that were $20 and there were some seriously cute dresses hung on that rack! I would come back for the sales only, but have no doubt that the super friendly staff would go out of their way to help a customer out in any way that they needed. The store was clean, bright and trendy. Great addition to the La Grange scene! read more

A true go-to store. All my favorite shoes, sweaters and dresses have come from JAYNE. So happy I found it!

I don't understand the excitement of the previous reviews for this store. I browsed the store a few days ago and found their clothing collection confusing and very overpriced. I like to think I have good, discerning taste in clothes, but Jayne was not worth my time. The tops and sweaters were especially unattractive, and made of unnecessarily heavy material, even for a fall line. The sale rack was skimpy, and just had a few sleeveless tops. I agree though that the shoe collection was very nice, and almost, but not quite, balanced the disappointment of the clothing and jewelry. I may just have come into the store at a bad time, but I'm unlikely to visit again. read more
