The problem is that the office waited weeks to submit the claim, something I had already noticed and monitored on my insurance portal. My tooth was already prepped, yet insurance verification and billing were clearly not handled in a timely manner. Canceling a patient's appointment minutes before it's supposed to begin due to internal billing delays is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for a patient's time. This situation was completely avoidable with proper administrative follow-through and communication. I've lost confidence in this office's organization and patient care as a result.

I also called every 15 minutes between 10:00 and 11:00. No one picked up and no one has called me back. I recommend you find another dentist. UPDATE: On Monday morning my frantic calls from Thur evening and Fri monring were returned, and an appointment was scheduled for Tuesday. At that point my mom had already found another dentist, but I did want to be fair in this review. I cannot speak to whether this is a good dentist or not, but still do not thnk they are the right place to go in an urgent situation.

Highly recommend this dentist for several reasons. Although the exam did hurt a bit, understandably so, Dr. Tschida apologized for having to put me through the discomfort. He was quite knowledgeable as to the cause of the absess and he recommended the tooth be removed. It was to his financial gain to do another root canal but I knew he was recommending the best option for me. His exam was free and only charged me $15.00 for the xray. I was given an estimate for the extraction and was pleasantly surprised, bec I was expecting to have to pay out the whaazoo. His staff were all very nice and did everthing to make this visit as pleasant as possible. I waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room before being called back which was pretty good bec I was 10 minutes early. The receptionist told me I could pay the $15 when I came back for the extraction and didn't need to pay for it in advance. Wow! in my neck of the woods its all about the money. First visit one week, procedure the next. My daughter said it was the best dentist she has been to. Something I appreciated, because they did not take our insurance, they gave us a discount. This made a big difference. A place that cares about their patients enough to make up for the insurance companies not caring is a place you should go. Love Moffett. From Stephanie looking up my insurance plan to the hygienist, X-ray technician and dental assistant, I became aware that I was in the hands of a professional staff. First of all, my 73-year-old mother went in to see a dentist for an infected tooth because they claimed to accept walk-ins. After giving them her insurance information, they scheduled an appointment for her to come back. The 2nd visit was nothing more than x-rays, the doctor confirming she had an infected tooth (along with numerous other problems that they could also fix for her), and more paperwork for a loan to get all this work done. No antibiotics, no offer of anything to help her that day... nothing. Just another appointment and instructions to bring $75 as a down payment. For the third appointment, she gave them her $75, filled out even more paperwork, and was then told she gave her money to the wrong person in the office and would have to give them another $75. They refunded the original $75 after a few days, but she didn't have another $75 in her checking account so offered cash (which they would not accept). She left the office in tears, called their corporate headquarters in Chicago and asked for someone in charge to which the answering gentleman responded by hanging up on her. She tried 3 more times, was hung up on twice more, and they wouldn't even answer the fourth call. After leaving a few reviews to warn people away, my next step is to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the American Dental Association.
