I get the aesthetic and vibe of this place is top tier... however, in my opinion it doesn't justify the crazy pricing on plants... like triple the price of Home Depot and other nurseries I've been to and I own a lot of plants. This place is a must-visit, even if you aren't a plant-lover. If you visit, you would fall in love with nurseries, plants and decorating your place with plants. It was a very knowledgable experience, knowing the various plants, that I have not even heard of. So many plants that could be indoors and as well as be decorating your yard. This shop had the plants arranged in such a way that you could visualize them in your house. This has to be the best botanical shop I have ever been to! The plants are all extremely well taken care of and the entire place feels fresh, new and looks great. Our cashier (curly hair brunette.. didn't catch her name) was super duper helpful. She gave me a lot of advice on the plants I purchased and even said offered and took the time to drill a hole in the pot I purchased for drainage purposes. I never would've thought of that on my own. Ceremony is simply the best reason to visit the Wimberley Square. The shop is such a beautiful atmosphere with an impressive old oak, potting shed, and garden benches! I honestly wish I could just bring a book and read while surrounded by all of the beautiful plants! So far my favorite purchase is the Ming Aralia Bonsai ...they sell out quickly so grab one when in stock or ask for one to be ordered/reserved for you! Today I was pleasantly surprised to discover the fun speckles of the Croton Gold Dust (just be careful of pets with this one). My burgundy ficus is slow growing but I love the color and hope to eventually get a large ficus (I'm starting with smaller sizes to keep things more manageable and easier to move as needed). If you are looking for a small windowsill option, I highly recommend the Staghorn Fern - small but mighty! It looks perfect in my kitchen and I would love to add a plant shelf or hanging baskets so I can have more plants to look at while washing dishes. I had previously potted my plants at home but I found it a little stressful because I'm still learning. So I was happy to learn they offer potting services onsite. The outdoor area was so beautiful and I hope they offer a class for beginners soon! It would be wonderful to learn how to properly care for all of my plants! One of the best shops in Wimberley! I say that as I am particularly fond of plants and gardening! Beautiful selection of Air Plants, succulents and cacti. Many unique and specialty plants. Texas friendly and a wealth of information from each person I have encountered in the shop. The lovingly transplanted my 15+ year old Stag Fern to a Cork Board and created a work of art! They also offered to let me come so it there and show me how, but for I passed on that opportunity and had them do it for me! Run to this shop and enjoy a Fabulous Day in Wimberley!! This place is what every plant moms dreams are made of! They have such a beautiful assortment of plants that cover all different types of climates. Their plants are very well cared for and have stayed healthy even after bringing them home. The staff is super knowledgeable about all the plants and how to care for them. The prices can very from reasonable to very high, and the size range from very small, to bring 3 strong men and a truck. They also have amazing smelling incense that you can take home and have your home smelling as amazing as their shop. This nursery is a great place to go when looking for all those exotics you see on social media but don't want to have it shipped across the country to have it. One of my favorite stores in Wimberley. They have many types of succulents and plants - many of which are rare and hard to find (hence the high prices for many plants here). It was a pleasant sensory trip visiting this store. If I was a local, I'd be shopping here. It's obvious the owners care a lot about the plants. I've been to the plant shop twice! I would say that this is a great place to visit when you are in Wimberley, especially if you are a plant lover like I am! This shop has a variety of house and outdoor plants to choose from. They have a very particular aesthetic and I love the layout of the store, very Instagrammable and cute. This is a great place to buy mini monsters, succulents, cacti, fig trees, pothos, and air plants. However, if you a looking for rare or variegated plants - they don't carry them. They also sell organic soaps, perfumes, incense, candles, lip balm, mud masks, and pots. The employees here are pretty friendly. I must say that they do such a great job at watering their plants and I can tell they take care of them really well. Overall, great experience! I'm a frequent shopper at Ruibals in Dallas and was told I need to stop by Ceremony if I'm ever in Wimberly. So as a plant lover, of course, I planned to stop in Wimberly on my way to San Marcos! I stopped on a Friday afternoon, likely just before people hit all the shops and was treated as a special customer! They have all kinds of special finds, including a Mantra plant that I had been searching to find for a while. I also bought up all of their amazing marble planters! We were walking by the store on the way to get some food and my son was very excited to look at all of the special plants they had. I told him he could pick something if he ate a good dinner (like dad's do). He diligently ate his meal but the store was closed by the time we got back. The owner opened the store for us when he saw him looking through the window and offered him to pick out a plant, which he then gifted as a very thoughtful gesture to our son. So impressed w the generosity and spirit representing the Wimberley community and Texas in general. How to lose a sale. Customer: "What is that wonderful smell? It smells like frankincense.". Shop Girl 1: "Frankincense". Shop Girl 2 (in a slightly nicer tone): "I was burning frankincense, and now I'm burning (something something)" (She gestures with her hand towards the incensoir by the door). The two employees (I am guessing that they are employees and not owners) then turn their backs on Customer and discuss a customer that came in previously that day and thought that Shop Girl 1 was British because of the way she said "cotton". Customer finds the incense, picks a packet of it up, finds the check out counter, walks up to it with the packet, waits, waits. Not wanting to disturb the conversation ("Then she says 'Say something else! You really sound British!'"), Customer puts the packet back and walks out. read more
