Pete has inspected two homes for me and I couldn't be happier with his work! The first home he looked at for me had a suite of problems and he ended up saving me from investing in an honest-to-goodness money pit. He identified mold and wet beams in an attic underlying what otherwise looked like an impeccably installed brand new roof. He also pointed out cheap DIY plumbing materials that would have been annoying to replace as well as numerous insulation issues and even an ant problem. If I had employed the services of a subpar inspector, I would have been out 20 to 25 grand in repairs on that place. His keen eyes and ample experience saved me from quite the lemon of a home. I had Pete inspect a second home for me and he was great- he quickly identified that I had found a gem. He pointed out a few minor issues which he itemized in a succinct, easily readable report that my realtor and I could use in negotiations with the seller prior to purchase. Not only is he highly experienced, astute, and professional, he's also wonderfully personable with a great sense of humor. He explains aspects of his inspection in a very friendly, non-condescending way to people who have little to no knowledge of fuse boxes, fire-rated doors, plumbing, or the architecture of crawl spaces (i.e., me).
