In doing so, I gotta give a HUUUUUGE ShoutOut to my folks over at Solara Heating & Cooling located in San Tan Valley. A week or so ago, our A/C Unit decided to cease working...yeahh... exactly. Just as we were approaching AZ's Signature Triple-Digit weather! In what I would call a dire situation, I took to our RiNG Chat Group to grab a few good recommendations for a REPUTABLE HVAC Company... I'd seen others make similar requests so I figured I'd give it a shot. Within minutes of my request, I had 12 or 13 responses! I immediately recognized 2 or 3 of the businesses listed, but there were a few things about the very first response that stood out to me... In the opening line it stated, 'My Husband started his HVAC Business earlier this year...' It went on to say a few more magical words... 'He's Licensed, Bonded and Insured.' Knowing what I do know about having Contractors (of any sort) working on your property, those 3 words are a must (for all sorts of reasons). The response ended with, 'And we'd really appreciate your business!' SOLD! I should back up a lil' bit and mention that in our initial 'quest' to find Just the right company, my Wife and I agreed that we'd also ask our co-workers for recommendations. In doing so, one of her co-workers stated that she 'tried' 9 or 10 different companies before finding that 'Right Fit.' Quite discouraging, to say the least, but by the time we got in from work, I'd already spotted the response from Solara Heating & Cooling, LLC... and 'something' told me that these were my Peeps! When Carlos showed up at our door, the same day we reached out, he went straight to work! After less than 30 minutes of 'diagnostics' he had pinpointed the issue with our A/C... which was the motor up in the attic. From there we set up an appointment for him to return to get us cooling again... We did have to wait a few days for our particular motor to be shipped/arrive, but Carlos kept me informed of the progress daily (via text)... sometimes twice a day. Within an hour or so, of the motors arrival and him picking it up, he showed up, as scheduled to install it and get us going! *I should mention here that Carlos was able to check the motors part number and get it through the warranty, which still had a couple of years on it. This saved us over a $1,000 bucks. Thankfully, it was the same day that the temp hit 102° here in the Valley... Perfect Timing, I'd say! From the very beginning of reaching out to Solara Heating & Cooling, to the temperature rapidly dropping in our home as he finished up the install, we couldn't have been more pleased with his Professionalism, Expertise and Attention to Detail. We will definitely bring them back for routine maintenance on our A/C!
