This is the multistory garage at Santana Row behind the Best Buy. The First two hours are free. Pay after that.. odd QR payment system that seems to confuse all the newbies. WARNING: Huge backups just to get in or get out of this garage. The lines coming in merge with the lines headed out. This is a real horrific garage to try to park in, or to get your EV recharged. If you plan on supercharging your Tesla here, getting to the superchargers means that you get caught in the line of normal cars just trying to leave. AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!! There is another lot to park in at Santana Row or just park at Valley Fair. Too bad Caltrain or BART does not get close to here. read more

Also you cant pay until you scan the sign underground for the webpage but underground has no cell signal to do this process, so you have to go back out of the garage to get cell service. I hate coming to any SP+ parking garages. To be honest, I am working or used to work (which ever comes first) for this company and it really hate it. I expected something different, but instead have to cover their mistakes on their systems. It works 90% of the time and the 10% comes up more often than the 90%. Not to mention that I have to work in not so great weather and physical environment. I kind of felt tricked into quitting my old job and joining this one. I basically traded one thing for a worse thing. If you have to park at one of their lots, just make sure that you keep track on how much time you have, hope that you get a nice person to let you out, and try to not harass those poor attendants. read more

Horrible. Took forever to exit! There's a line all the way from 4th floor! People can't back out from their space. Also got charged for all 2.5 hours upon exit. No free first 2 hours. Also no connection (just bad in Santana Row in general). What gives in the heart of Silicon Valley!?! Will never return to Santana Row. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of this garage, though it gets the job done. It's free mall parking, which in itself is a huge plus, and while the layout doesn't make sense on an intrinsic level if you park near a set of stairs on on the bottom floor, you're usually fine. The biggest negative to me is the elevator. It's almost as slow as the heinous elevator in Daly City next to the Century theater. Having both elevators be in service, and not having one designated a "service" elevator would go a long way towards this rather jarring negative. All in all it's mostly a pleasure to park here and go to Santana Row, it's really just the traffic jam outside the structure you gotta worry about. read more

convenient place to park, right on santana row's property, so you don't have to walk far to get to the shoppes. there's 6 levels of parking, so you're sure to find a space, even on the weekends or during the mad rush of holiday shopping. best of all, this parking structure is FREE! just make sure you move it by 3am since they don't allow overnight parking. specifically, they don't allow parking from 3-7am, daily. note that a limited number of valet parking spaces are available here. read more

Left my car there overnight once because I got a lil too tipsy on Santa Row one Friday night. Car was still there the next day. SCORE! BUT... The spaces are tight, I don't think the layout is intuitive, and I'm actually scared to be on the bottom floor when it's dark. I do not understand why people would write negative comments about this place! It's a FREE parking in the beautiful santana row! I went there on a a saturday afternoon around 4pm. Level 1, 2, and 3 were full but I do not have a problem driving a level or two more, so I parked in the 5th level (it was almost empty) and then went down to santana row to have some fun. I am so glad there is is this parking garage so close to the shops! And it is not narrow at all! read more

This used to be your typical mall parking lot. Too few spaces, too many drivers with conflicting agenda (1/2 Parking Spot Stalkers holding up traffic, 1/2 People trying to get out of dodge and on with their lives). Now that they have added extra floors (5 total floors, 805 spaces) Federal Reality will have succeeded in erasing the "I can never find parking" excuse for not going to the row. However, with the new spaces comes new problems. The traffic pattern is ridiculous if you consider that the 880/280/Steven's Creek area is main route most people take into and out of the Row. If you are a) trying to get the the Winchester express ramp or b) trying to get from the structure to the freeway - you have to make about 3 U-turns. The ramp is a nifty idea but its more gimmicky than congestion preventing. read more

And it's hooked up with fancy indicators that tell you exactly where all the open spots are so you don't have to be slowed down by everyone looking for the perfect spot. Clearly the people that have already reviewed the Winchester Parking Garage forget how it used to be. The extra floors may not have reduced traffic on floors 1-3, but they have very little traffic themselves because everyone wants to park on the first or second floor, anyway. If I don't get a spot on my first drive through of the first, second or third floors I just go right up to 4 (and, if necessary 5) and there is usually NOBODY up there. I have not used the ramp to get in, but I have often used it to get out, and it's super and spectacular! I was afraid the front of my car would scrape on the street since I was heading downhill, but the ramp levels out and there is no scrapage involved whatsoever. read more

This garage wasn't designed very well. The first floor has no access to the floors above, so you have to go around and find the other entrance. There should be access to the second floor. Otherwise, it is free, that is a plus. read more
