The chicken was also dry but had decent flavor in the skin. The roasted potatoes were good, the mixed veggies had the taste and texture of water. Realizing salt exists would help with a lot of things. The best thing we had was the Haggis and if you'e had Haggis you know that's pretty bad. There was also no effort to bus the tables when everyone was done. A large number of people started doing it themselves. It is a pretty place and I don't know anything about the other elements of the business (the store, etc) but I would not consider it for an event based on this experience.

It was especially convenient to have Catering, DJ, and media all wrapped into one venue. Nick (Bright Box event coordinator) and the rest of the Bright Box staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during our day. Nick worked very well with our Day of Coordinator to ensure all needs provided by the Bright Box were met promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Box for our wedding. Having both the downstairs for our ceremony and dance floor coupled with the upstairs for cocktail hour, pictures, and a quite talking place away from the music made our day complete and provided great flexibility for our guests. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with our guests on an amazing weather day. Thank you Nick & Bright Box for an amazing day, we're looking forward to checking out a show for our anniversary!

This venue is exactly what we were hoping for and more. It had a bridal room, room for the groomsmen, restrooms, full kitchen, and a gorgeous, spacious barn that was beautifully decorated. The outside view is spectacular and open with nothing but beautiful scenery. You can have your wedding outside and then come in for the reception, or have everything indoors if the weather isn't cooperating. Dixie was such a pleasure to work with, so accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a venue at a reasonable cost. For example the ironing board is in the closet while the iron is in a drawer with a note saying it is stored there during renovations There is no towel rack in the bathroom and no toilet seat cover. The vanity is plenty big to store the towels, but no toilet seat cover is just weird--like a public restroom. The towels are nice, very clean and plenty big enough. The bed is super high (my feet didn't touch the floor when sitting on the edge) and comfy, the sheets ultra soft (amazingly so) and the king sized pillows comfortable. I slept very well here. The TV is large, a microwave, fridge, keurig, ice bucket, plastic cups all provided. The shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are all in large bottles mounted in the shower. The shower gel has a light fragrance and left my skin super soft. Breakfast was standard fare plus bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, and Chobani brand yogurt. Nice additions This hotel offers all the necessary things for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and I would gladly stay here again and save a few dollars.

Staff is very nice. ACs work. Smells good. The room was very damp though, but didnt smell. Bedding white, and clean, but damp, the rug felt so damp and gross I laid one of the bath towels on the rug next to the bed. The bed was SO pillowy you slide off if you sit on the edge. It killed my back so I barely slept. The little red light on the tv is SO bright. One of the bath towels was either dirty or stained. Bathroom was clean. I always do a bedbug sweep so I pulled up the bedding and inspected the mattress. I found the fecal dirt, and one dead bedbug. It fell apart when I touched it. Nothing else anywhere, no eggs, or bugs so I didnt worry about it. Clearly they fumigated sometime ago. But there was so much gross hair and dust and dirt behind the mattress. The pillows are too squishy, they go flat when you lay your head. No ice in the ice machine. The breakfast I suppose is what you should expect at this price point. The juice is horrible, all of the juices are sugar free with stevia as a substitute. The pancakes taste like nothing. The sausage gravy was very gelatinous. Bacon was good. I liked the scrambled eggs. I def will try another hotel next time, nearby. Because the restaurant Roma's around the corner is phenomenal.
