This is a very clean store with great prices , the employs are kind and you feel welcomed .. the produce is clean and always looks great, the isles are clean , the people at the deli are always busy and kind .. you have kind cashiers and great service ... one of my favorite stores to shop at ... always feel welcome there ... they have an amazing bulk selection , they are open 24/7 except holidays .. Whenever I'm on my way home, to avoid making this super long drive even worse, I usually try and stop at winco whenever I can; mostly because we have none in the West Covina area, and I love me some winco road snacks! I was checking out at the self check out for the first time and was struggling and frustrated with the machine. The associate, Brian, was visibly irritated with my needing assistance. Was chatting with another employee and rolling his eyes when he came to swipe his badge. Said snarky comments such as, "Of course you don't press that button," and "other customers figured it out." Those remarks were rude and just uncalled for. That isn't the attitude of someone who is providing customer service. 24 hour heaven love coming here for a few good items and the actually have a decent selection of vegetarian and vegan friendly items at great price points. The parking lot is massive and the best time to go is late night. They finally got self checkout at this location which is amazing since they never have many registers open throughout the day. The produce is so so, but again great price points. My guilty pleasure beside the ready to-go premade salads and food items (sandwiches, sides, etc.) is the candy and nut dispensers. I'm in love with jellybeans and this is a killer deal... less than $2 per pound... say what.... I'm really surprised at the variety of craft brew and spirits at this location... the wine game is still a little behind in the times... though they do carry the ever day essentials like Chateua St Michelle. I've seen gradual improvements over time and stop through anytime I'm in the HD visiting family and/or friends and can only hope this location continues to thrive and get better. It is a bit overwhelming for warehouse size grocery store chain, but you'll leave saving lots of money with options of bulk buying. No weekly ads, no credit card is accepted, meat is not to appealing and sale pricing are confusing. Lucy let me splain! Ok to be honest I really am not a fan of Winco. If I can avoid it I will. There would be only a few reasons I would go here. 1. If I need something really late. They seem to be the only place in town that is opened late. They are very brave to do so being that it is in Victorville... um I mean Victorville! 2. If I see something on sale when I come the first time I come. I'll come back for that. 3. If it's for produce. Their produce is pretty reasonably place. Now reasons I won't come. 1. The meat. I have never had luck buying it here. I'll buy a nice cut of beef only to take it home and see the under side looks nasty. 2. The crowd. I hate big crowds. Not to mention some people act stupid. I seen a lady, man and their kid riding and racing on the carts while people with disabilities walking around because no one tells the people using the carts to play with anything. 3. No credit cards! Not that big of a thing but I like that convenience. 4. Gun shots, scam artists, fights in the parking lot, women stalked in the parking lot, Pan handlers and much more can be found in the parking lot. This place gives Walmart a run for their money. Morning seems like a better time to come here. Overall I only come if I really really need something after hours or if I'm going to save money on something there. Lots of items to choose from, some of the boxes are cut up because you can tell the stockers are rushing but it doesn't matter because the prices are on point and the products themselves aren't damaged. This WinCo is a absolutely disgrace to the community it servers. Their parking looks like a trash dump. Customers have to walk through a mess to get to the entrance of the store. I am sure that management use this lot to park their vehicles when they are on duty so I know they see the trashed filled parking lot. The managers at the location are incompetent and have no morals. Giving a one star is generous. I come here all the time but given what happened yesterday I do not feel comfortable coming in again. Ever. Customer service has always been bad at this store but I have never felt so publicly attacked and humiliated by a single person in my life before! Yesterday I went in with my niece and nephew. I got to the check out and when I met the cashier the only proper thing she said to me and my niece was hello, would you like any bags? This was followed by her asking my seven year old niece how her day was going and if she had seen Turning Red. I quickly and politely told her that movie she was not allowed to watch and to please change the subject. Instead of stopping this cashier then said, "I have seen the movie and there is nothing wrong with it. It's just a girl who turns into a red panda." She then looked at my niece with a very weird look on her face and asked her, "don't you want to see a little girl turn into a panda." I told her my niece was seven and my nephew is four. Her mother deemed the movie inappropriate due to their ages. That due to it being about a teen getting her menstrual we felt it better to wait until she was older and entering that part of her life and to please change the subject. The cashier didn't stop from there! She then snickers and says, "name one inappropriate thing in the movie." And then glances at my niece. There was no shutting it down! This woman got a sick high off of embarrassing me and my niece. I leaned over the counter to see her name tag and she conveniently turned it over so the name wouldn't show. But right at the top of my receipt was the name of my cashier. Nichole Y. She continued to go off about how she's only seven so the movie will go over her head and I am depriving her of not seeing a girl turn into a red panda. She actually HELD UP THE LINE just so she could continue to harass me about a stupid movie my niece isn't allowed to watch. I know plenty of moms who have issues with that movie which is why it is rated PG 13. She's not 13!!! For the correct age group the movie isn't bad. However, the way she acted? It was like the more asked her to change the subject and she continued the more she pushed. The more I asked her to stop the wider her smile got. I yelled at her to give me my bags because I was done being humiliated by her. She yelled at me back and I went over to customer service to have them get a manager. At this point I had to call my mom to let her know I was held up and why. Nicole heard what I said because within moments later she trades from lane 4 to 14. Maybe to pin it on someone else? I don't know. I get what is told to me to be a manager who seems as apologetic as Nicole. All she says is she will "talk with her" meaning tell her she got a complaint but keep pushing inappropriate conversations against under age children and ignoring their adults. I told her I was going to be contacting corporate and the manager was unfazed in the least. Nicole was facing the customer service section at her new lane. She was literally smiling the whole time and watching it. I am taking my business across the street. They don't have child predators at Staters and condone it like they do here. Until Nicole Y is terminated I will not be coming back and I recommend any parent who doesn't want to be verbally harassed do the same. This woman is sick! Add: I just got off the phone with corporate. They were very cold and didn't care that an employee was being highly inappropriate towards my niece. They didn't state this behavior was wrong or that it was even getting solved. I told the person her mom even talked that if this doesn't get solved legal action might need to be taken. She decided the company could afford to double down and stated the only thing she would do anyways was send the complaint to the store and that was it. I had heard about WinCo from my family, but being in LA County, there isn't one for me to visit. However, I found the opportunity on the way back from Vegas. It is a ginormous warehouse-type store, filled with food items. Even in the bread section, there must've been 40 varieties to choose from. And the rows of frozen foods were astonishing. All I know is this is the place to take shelter in after a devastating earthquake. I found food items that my normal supermarket has trouble stocking consistently. The bulk items area was one of the best part. They carry various flours, nuts, trail mixes, dried fruit, coffee, dry herbs, candy, and a ton of other things. You just fill your plastic bags and write the item number on the twisty tie. They even have their own store brand for some food items, but I have yet to try those. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again. Now that I think about it, it would make a great layover on the way to Vegas to stock up on stacks or to get lunch. read more

The location is not that bad, sure Stater Bros across the street is nicer and caters to a different clientele, but the pricer are higher and the selection smaller. They carry absolutely everything you could want from house to namebrands and cheaper than anywhere else, you can compair any item from any store, grocery or Walmart and WinCo will beat it. Shout out to Jeremy the lead clerk at the Victorville Winco for his poor customer service as well as discriminating against me for being gay. I called to complain about being hung up on by an employee for him to proceed to lie to me. When I originally called a woman answered the phone, answered my question (I was asking if they sold Christmas lights) then she hung up on me when I was mid sentence. I called back to speak to a manager... he lied and said that he was the only person answering the phone for the past 10 minutes prior to my original call. I told him he was lying because I was on the phone just a minute before with a woman. He again said that wasn't true and stuck with his lie of being the only one answering phones when it was very clearly a woman who had answered my first call and hung up on me. After he hung up on me as well... just as the woman who answered the phone before him... I called a 3rd time to discuss why I was hung up on a second time and a woman answered isaying the manager was busy with an employee and he wouldn't come to the phone. She later told me that the manager told her to say that because he didn't want to deal with me. I still wanted to get the items I was calling about so I proceeded to go to the store as planned. After paying I asked to speak to the manager. He then tried to change his story and said that he told me he didn't have the time to help me. It was almost 3am.... how was he so busy that he couldn't help a customer?! That aside... he didn't even say that. He literally just hung up on me. I can't help but think that he heard my voice and then saw my painted nails and was discriminating against me for being gay. Homophobia is NEVER acceptable. NEVER. And on top of everything... he wasn't even wearing his mask correctly thus not only putting me in danger, but other customers and employees as well. I usually try to avoid paydays (1st and 15th), typically I go mid-week in the afternoon or on weekend mornings. My favorite items are: Tillamook dairy, great Oregon breads, bulk items, fresh produce, the bakery and the good prices overall. This store offers great prices. Everything appears clean and well stocked inside the store. The employees are generally courteous and helpful with the exception of a few dead beats, however they are vastly outnumbered by the good employees. Outside the store you'll find it is littered with trash and debris. On any given part of the day or night the parking lot is also a hot bed for panhandlers, transients, and criminals. Numerous customers have been robbed in the parking lot. You will find (1) one security guard posted at the entrance of the door. Often he or she is tasked with running off transients or others loitering in the area. At night you will sometimes find a security officer escorting female employees to their cars. Unfortunately, this store has changed it's hours of operation and now only opens from 6am-12am. This is a huge inconvenience for me since I shop at night to avoid crowds. I know it will effect others as well, but I understand management's decision. Keeping the store open 24/7 was too high of a price to pay in a high crime area like Victorville, California. read more

It is one of the two WinCo Foods stores in High Desert. This one is located in Victorville. It was my go-to store, to purchase groceries. However, it was during the time, when I was living in High Desert with my family. The prices were quite fair. Furthermore, on certain days, certain perishables were discounted. So, I would purchase these groceries, during those days. Also, their alcohol beverages are fairly priced, and on some days, they were discounted. Definitely, I miss shopping at this establishment, since I have moved out of the area. Still, when I visit my family, I visit this store, to purchase some groceries or liquor! read more
