I always have great dialogue with Bruce about maintenance, repairs, and enhancements I am planning and executing on my two classics. Right now, we are planning for a crate motor and 700R4 transmission for my Impala this coming winter. Bruce, along with Norm, do most of the classic car work at Franklin. Bruce is always realistic and fair with me about costs, timelines, and has vast experience with a broad array of classic cars from "The Big Three". Every time I go there, I see anywhere from 3-4 other classic cars on lifts or being worked on. And Bruce is not just stuck in the past with "old-think" about these classics. He's up on new-tech as well. He put a new Dakota Digital dash in my Impala and now we're discussing the benefits of EFI vs. carburetors, even though he might be the best carb guy around. Another thing I like about Bruce is that he owns two classic cars himself so he is a fellow enthusiast who shares with me the passion of the hobby I love so much. Finally, and this may not matter to some, but Bruce is deeply involved with the Lions Club and I respect the fact he volunteers in that capacity (I am not in that nor any such endeavor myself). There are a lot of wanna-bees out there who hack on old cars. Or high-end shops that charge an arm-and-a-leg. That's not here. Now go and get that dream car on Ebay Motors with confidence that: 1. It will have issues (that's just the hobby). 2. Bruce can handle them.

My conscience is clear now.

That can all be done at no fee following the $85 registration fees. What I wasn't informed of was the rather ridiculous fee of $16.25 to obtain the sticker from them and listed as a Service Fee. Should explain the fee to the client and the option to just do it on line for no fee. Just my opinion. Emission test was done very quickly.

They don't get any money for that, it takes away from repair work that does pay, they know we have to get a couple, three, estimates. They come out in the middle or a little lower. Jim was friendly and assured me that both windows would be repaired and I left the car there confident I made the correct decision. The car needed to have window regulators ordered and considering the age of the car there were availability problems. Quite understandable if it weren't for the fact that most people want there car back within a reason amount of time. To me reasonable does not mean - not having the car for 3 + weeks for a window repair It is definitely reasonable to me to be unhappy to Jim's response to me when I asked for a time line that the car be ready? The response was in so many words "we will get to it when we can "-not acceptable to most people. Finally after I called his shop and said I've waited long enough and I will come over and get the car-then the car was done in a day later. The cost of repairing the windows was an unbelievable 880 dollars! To me this amounts to be A LOT of money 6+ hours of electrical troubleshooting I do not buy at all. While car electrical is different from equipment I worked on as a maintenance electrician the basic principles still apply. Power goes from the fuse box to the door window switch and from the switch to one plug to the window motor. Hard to believe it took 6+ hours regardless of the shape the overall wiring being in. What made matters worst was when I called to report the right side window did not work I was told it is time to get rid of the ####### power windows. I will agree that hand cranks are the way to go to me though that's beside the point . The car should of had no issues after spending an amount that would be reasonable for a new transmission or a new exhaust system. Paying close to $1000 on a half fast window repair is enough for me to never consider to go back or recommend to others

I love that they have the option to text instead of call and they send you a link with the estimated services so you can take a moment to think over your options with all of the details in front of you instead of scrambling to take notes. It was about a week before they could get my car in for an appointment and then a few days to make the repairs. When I went to pick my car up, I overheard the guy at the desk talking with an elderly woman about possible problems with her car. She hadn't set up an appointment yet, but they were kind enough to chat with her to give her an idea of their suspicions based on her description.
