I wish we could switch, because having someone to guide us into appropriate coverage rather than just selling bulk cookie cutter policies would be amazing. He's a self-described "insurance nerd" who enjoys getting into the nitty gritty for his customers' benefit. And he is quick to reply to emails and he answers the phone himself. No, it's not--unless the insurance company misrepresents what happened by reporting that my husband simply drove his car into a deep hole. I just discovered that my new vehicle insurance is going up almost $200 because of how this incident was reported. My current insurance company told me that if it had been reported as pothole damage, my rate wouldn't be going up. But because of the way Wawanesa reported it, I'm now paying for this and will stay in my records for years. Stay away from both Wawanesa car and home insurance. I hope whoever made the decision to report it this way realizes one day how much their actions can affect people's lives. I hope she has many sleepless nights over it, because if she can sleep well knowing what she did, it only shows how evil she truly is.
