Super nice arrangement for Mother's Day.

Just want to give props to the floral dept. at Windfall. I went in Saturday looking for an arrangement for my Mom for Mother's Day. There was only one pre-made arrangement on the table and the gentleman working behind the counter asked if he could help me. He asked me what I was looking for ( an arrangement or basket), the price point I was looking for and when I wanted to pick it up? When I arrived Sunday morning a woman took my name, went out back and came out with a beautiful arrangement. This is the second time I've purchased flowers here and both times they have far exceeded my expectations. I have most definitely found my go to spot for any future floral needs. My Mom LOVED the flowers btw. Thank you very much to all who work in the floral dept., I appreciate your help. Pete M

This is up on par close to WholeFoods or Idylwilde - they have a butcher and fresh produce.

That was our experience at The Black Dog Heights Café in Falmouth a coastal gem that greeted us with hearty food and classic New England charm. The building itself feels like a postcard: gray shingle siding, an American flag swaying gently, and that iconic black lab perched up high like it's guarding the soul of the Cape. Outside seating under bright red umbrellas kept things breezy and casual while we soaked up the sunshine and the vacation vibes. As for the food? Let's just say the Black Dog doesn't play around. I went straight for the Lox bagel tangy, creamy, fresh, and generous enough to require a two-hand strategy. Across the table, the breakfast burrito came packed with eggs, sausage, black beans, corn, and melty cheese in every bite equal parts flavor bomb and wake-up call. The crowd was relaxed, the staff kind, and the vibe effortless. No pretension, just solid coastal breakfast done right. There's a reason the Black Dog name is legendary out here, and now I get it. If you're starting your day in Falmouth, this is where you want to do it. #BlackDogCafé #CapeCodBreakfast #FalmouthFinds #CoastalCravings #ItsTheLittleThings #ThePuddingCreekTrestle #BagelGoals #VacationBites #EastCoastEats #MorningMagic

Second - the Carmel latte was delish as were the muffins- cranberry and orange and then the blueberry. I also ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese-again delicious. BUT the super star (besides Sophia) was the BLT with avocado on sour dough. OMG and I am not kidding when I say that. Best meal I had on the Cape in the 4 days I was here! I'll be back next summer when I am here for work- hopefully the food is still yummy and Sophia is still working there.

It's got a low-key no frills vibe that is charming in its own kind of way, and we definitely appreciated their shellacked bagel decor. We got everything to go, our overall assessment is: meh. The bagels themselves are fine, but the they put way too much cream cheese which just ends up oozing out everywhere. The plain bagel with scallion/chive cream cheese and tomatoes was pretty good, but the sesame one with eggs and cheese was unimpressive because 1) it needed some acidity, and 2) the eggs were rubbery, like they were made in a microwave with egg mix that came out of a carton. No thank you. Our kiddo's plain everything was fine. We asked at the register if their muffins were homemade and were told "yes," but we strongly doubt it because the pistachio one we ordered tasted *exactly* like the artificial almond flavor pistachio ones that are a distinct product of Sysco/Whatever Massive Food Purveyor. So that was a bummer. Overall, we're glad we tried it at long last, and maybe we'll come again and order better. But we'll still be on the lookout for a good breakfast place to grab some quick food whenever we're not in the mood for Pie in the Sky next time we're in the area.

It is such an anomaly to find a cafe that is open past 5:00pm, and it was exciting to see that Pie in the Sky stays open later for the perfect after dinner coffee or tea treat. The inside of the shop is cozy and warm, and there's ample seating both indoors and on the outdoor patio. They roast all their beans in house (peep the giant machine inside to prove it!), and the pastries are baked fresh daily- nothing random lying around in cases for days on end like some other spots I've visited. My coffee was flavorful and strong, and the accompanying blueberry muffins had a tasty streusel topping. It made for a nice light evening snack, and also a welcome respite from needing to go hang out at a bar after dinner just because nothing else is open. Service was prompt and friendly, there was a short line, but the team kept everything moving. It is definitely a popular pre and post ferry spot due to its proximity to the docks, and you will want to add Pie in the Sky to your list if you ever find yourself in Woods Hole and wanting coffee after 5pm!
