I shop here often. The meat department is very good. The fish department is not very good. The bakery, is, well it's the only one around here... The prepared foods are better than what you'll get at "Shaws" but I wouldn't write home about it. Has a selection of curiosities from around the world, like Pellegrino Lemoncello, and a nice selection of olive oils. I mean for Falmouth this is great, but it's certainly not cosmopolitan. I'm glad it's here, but I'm not impressed. You still have to shop at the specialty shops to get great food. I'd get great fish at The Clam Man, great steaks at W. Falmouth Market, and produce i'd go to that place on 28a. read more

Great place to run into and get random items that you forgot to bring with you. The prices are high for groceries but at least you don't get sucked into the StopnShop and Shaws mob scene. They have really good meat, decent fish, great produce, great bakery and a good beer and wine selection. And the cheese department is awesome! I own a home in the Heights and I can run to Windfall to get those items I forgot or need for a recipe. I don't do my regular shopping here as it is so expensive. We recently catered our Thanksgiving Day dinner for 12 through Windfall. Overall quality was excellent. Will definitely use them again next year. We also shop here frequently for the quality of their butchery, produce and wine / beer selection. Nice alternative to the chains. Staff is also very helpful. read more

Windfall Market bakery provided the cake for my wedding last week and my wife and I are still receiving rave reviews from our guests! The three flavors of cakes were absolutely delicious (the lemon raspberry was a HUGE hit) and the price was unbeatable! Such a cute market! Has everything you need but is pretty pricey! Offers a lot of gluten free products which is very helpful for a gluten free gal! Fruit and veggies so fresh and bright in color! Meats were fresh and tasty... DOMS meats offered!! Can't beat it! read more

A great market, whose size is manageable (who else feels overwhelmed at supermarkets like Shaw's with the 20...30...40 aisles?), whose product selection (wine, cheese, imported items, beer, bakery, etc) is fantastic and can get better if you just talk to the manager, whose homemade chowder recipe is a multi award-winner. A market that carries some fresh local produce, local honey, local cheese, and lots of organic options. Sure they they're a little more expensive than your average supermarket, but I think they deserve our business! Help the local businesses survive! read more

Pricey place for mediocre quality. I dont recommend shopping here. You might get better deals at shaws and stop and shop. They have small sections with clearance items which had rotten strawberries. That belongs to the trash. read more

Windfall Market is not the primary place I shop for groceries. Their dry goods, produce, and dairy are all pricey and the selection is not much different than Stop and Shop or Shaw's. They have a good selection of dried fruits and nuts, but, again, they are kind of pricey. The thing that draws me to Windfall is their house-made roast beef, ham, and turkey at their deli counter. All 3 are excellent! They also have an excellent meat department. Sandwich rolls from their bakery are also pretty good, so this is a good place to stop to get sandwich fixings :) It's also a pretty pleasant shopping experience overall. The store is clean, the staff are nice, and it's not overcrowded and hectic. Still though, that's not enough for me to do my regular grocery shopping there given the prices. read more

I went here while visiting my family hoping I would find a great selection of organic produce and local foods. Aaand not so much... I will say that they had a selection of greens from a local farm that where super tasty. But most of the produce was overpriced fare that you could find at Shaw's or Stop and Shop. I go to small markets to find interesting snacks and goodies not available at the larger grocers and unfortunately I found mostly the same ole', same old. I did like the atmosphere, and selection of baked goods. Other than that, the trip from Bourne was not worth it. read more

Came in on our first night to get groceries for our weeklong stay. I needed something for my husband's birthday but not a whole cake. I chatted with the baker and she recommended their heavenly hash, peanut butter dream bar and chocolate bread for my chocoholic husband. Great selection of deli items but pricey. read more

Astrid and Allen designed my wedding bouquets and bridal parties arrangements, I gave them about 3 pictures for inspiration and gave them free reign over the design. what they came up with was simply elegant and stunning, I couldn't of imagined it being so beautiful, it complimented my dress and party perfectly and astounded my guests and photographer. about 1 month before my wedding date I decided to cut my budget in half, allen and astrid revamped my entire layout for me, and it ended up to be much better then my original plan. Their produce could be better, but in general, I'm grateful that Windfall exists in Falmouth. They have a pretty good selection of "healthy foods", and it is definitely a better shopping experience than Stop and Shop. read more

They have a flower shop, bakery, wine section, deli, and variety of cheeses among other things. Yes, a little overpriced ... BUT, Windfall Market gets 5 stars because of the freshness and quality of foods that they sell. Here is a list of a few of my must-buys: - Smart Chicken (https://www.cafetecumseh.com/SmartChicken/Default.aspx) sells for $12.99/lb for the Organic Chicken Boneless Breasts. Have you tried this hard-to-find brand? In my opinion, it's way better than Bell & Evans in terms of taste and quality. - The County Hen eggs (http://www.countryhen.com/index.php). I think 6 large brown eggs sells for about $3.50, but they are so tasty and are high in the Omega-3s (LNA, EPA, & DHA). - Windfall Market's own homemade tuna salad. Yum! Fresh and full of dill. It's that simple. - Windfall Market's own Greek Lemon Chicken Soup. Good hearty comfort food - perfect for nights you don't feel like cooking. - Verde Farms Organic Ground Beef (http://www.verdefarms.com/). I'm not the biggest meat eater but I'm always on the hunt for a true grass-fed organic ground meat for making burgers or meat sauce. So far I've been pleased with this brand. - Fage Brand Greek Yogurt - the "Total Classic" not the reduced fat versions!! I have purchased fresh? fish here twice...both times it was incredibly old...you could actually smell it through the wrapping!!!! Disgusting!! I also witnessed an employee grabbing a bag of frozen shrimp to put into the display case as "fresh shrimp"...no sign indicating previously frozen. As a year round resident of Falmouth, I expect better! I will not shop here again. Their ready made dinners have taken a severe dive.....choices have diminished and the choices are full of gravies and heavy sauces...certainly not healthy meals!! read more

What has happened to the Windfall Market? Always over-priced, it also had great meat, deli, and produce. The new summer staff is awful. They act as tho they are doing you a favor by taking your money. They chat among themselves while customers wait in line. They stuff your order into the smallest number of bags possible. They are surly and rude. Given the outrageous prices they charge, I expect real service and less attitude. Very disappointing. read more

Great job stocking most of the foods I want, especially given it's not a super sized store. Managers are very service oriented, and most of the cashiers are, too. Fruits and veggies could be fresher, tho' I appreciate they stock lettuce mixes and other veggies from our local Coonamessett Farm. Prices are on the high-end, but this is understandable given they don't get the economies of scale that the large supermarkets do. It's the nearest store to me, and hope it's here for many years to come. read more

This review applies to the bakery; in general the store carries some nice items but quite pricey for what it is (try Shaws for less in their natural foods section). As for the bakery, I had earlier reported that I had been overcharged and that the items were very disappointing. I went back this weekend with the uneaten pastries, box, and price tag that the person in the bakery had written up that was inaccurate. When I asked to speak to the bakery manager the young woman at the counter said they didn't have one and to go to a particular register. I did - and explained what had happened. Not so much as a "sorry!" for having overcharged me by $8.00 (clearly they had no one supervising at the bakery if that sort of mistake happens). That's darned disappointing - I had to go across town to make good on their mistake, and I don't get as much as an apology? Also, FYI, their online list of prices is outdated. Clearly someone is not watching the shop, and I won't be back. read more

The bakery BEWARE!!...I went to the bakery this week and wanted to buy a brownie...They have them in the aisle in baskets individually wrapped...They were as hard as a rock...Old and stale...I brought it to the attention of the bakery staff....who thanked me and took the basket away....I went back today...and they were just about as old and stale...supposedly wrapped yesterday...I think they just put a date on close to when they put them out....but they are HORRIBLE!...They used to be delicious...chocolate topped with walnuts throughout...and sold in the display case...now they are the absolute worst...They are so sloppily cut and put together. I will NEVER buy anything from them again... Even the expensive Thurmanns turkey I bought a few weeks ago was horrible...The clerk (kid) who sliced it was unfriendly.and you could tell he was not interested in working since closing time was coming up....he cut the meat too thick and it just was not good...as evidenced by my cats did not even want it.....Will NEVER go in there again....why would I when there are other places to shop with higher quality standards? read more

The only choice for quality and freshness on Cape Cod is Windfall Market. Hands down, they have the best cheese, bakery, deli, produce, and meat counters anywhere on the Cape. If you are a "perimeter" food shopper, you can't beat Windfall. I wasn't expecting the best bakery in the world, and I wasn't surprised. Not only that, but they charged my husband $4.50 per (plain) croissant. He of course was not paying attention. They were mediocre at best; the cinnamon roll had way too much gummy frosting on it, and the blueberry muffins were just okay. My advice? Save your money and go to the French bakery in town. read more
