Bubble circus was so cool and fun
    Nicole C.

I am really enjoying this library! I makes me feel like I'm engaging in my community. I have been participating in the Tales and Mocktails book club which is so unique and has been really enriching. The kids area is so busy you need a ticket for story time! The librarians have all been so helpful and kind! Today we got to see the Bubble Circus in the auditorium and it was a full house! This library even has a 3D printer. You should grab the calendar of events and check it out!

The library is beautiful! I came in for the first time for my passport appointment and I was extremely nervous. The staff was very kind and despite the fact that I messed up my application, they took their time to assist me. They answered all my questions and had a huge amount of patience with me. The library itself has 3D printers, an adult computer lab area, multiple study rooms, a teen VIP corner, and of course a children's corner. They offered events for every age and my last surprise came when I used their clean bathrooms and I saw a sign that offered period amenities if needed. It's nice to see a library help its community in every way. I cannot wait to come back.

It's a very nice library. Interesting entrance with very high ceilings in the foyer. A theater is accessible from the foyer to the right of the rest of what the library offers.

We had a great time at the Mystic fair event Saturday. There was music, performers, free yoga, palm readings, raeki sound healing, food trucks, crafts for the children inside, face painting, and more vendors selling items than I could count. I look forward to going to this event again next year this event was very well organized, lots of signs with the schedule and staff everywhere giving directions.

The wife and I have been a long time Windmill library visitor from books, music to movies. Whilst perusing the monthly email I noticed they had a variety of artists performing free shows in the auditorium. This was our first visit to the auditorium and we were very impressed by the venue, comfy seats, stage and sound. We saw Jessica Fichot who is a Chinese French transplant to Los Angeles. Her music is very traditional on the Chinese side and her French songs get you moving. She plays the accordion and a toy piano that gives her music a very unique sound. This show her jazzy band included a guitar, upright bass, alto saxophone and clarinet. All of the members are very talented and showcased their talents throughout the 1-1/2hr+ jazzy concert. Prior to the concert we YouTubed some of her music so we knew what to expect... delightful and unique. We were surprised at the concert that she sang a variety of holiday music, in addition to French and Chinese. I say holiday as she sang songs in over 10 different languages! WOW!! We were both blown away by Jessica Fichot's amazing singer, song writer and musicians raw talent! We bought a CD and met her after the show. Would definitely attend her concert again if she comes back to Vegas.

Seemed like a nice library: very clean and tidy; lots of folks using it; nice collections. It was fun to arrive right as story time was about to begin! Reason its 4 instead of 5: as a librarian myself I always consider how the staff at other places treat patrons. I was disappointed that we weren't greeted, let alone acknowledged, by any of the staff. We walked past the circulation desk and the reference desk, and made eye contact, and nothing. Not sure if this is a Vegas vibe kinda thing, but this Midwesterner was bummed.

A simple library for brilliant minds! It is basically one of the best libraries in Las Vegas. I like to come to study and to take a look at the art gallery they have there! It's always changing and something new is always being provided there. I am glad it is well kept and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, as well as up to date. It is nostalgic to me and it will always be my favorite library!

My company sponsors it, so I brought thank you gifts for donors. The Red Cross staff is kind and gracious. I didn't take any photos inside the blood drive for privacy reasons, but it was full of exceptional members of our community set on saving lives. Whenever I visit Centennial Hills Library I always check out the book store, and it never disappoints. I usually get children's books to donate to the Obodo library. This time the books were for me though. I have that Kamala Harris book "The Truths We Hold" in my Amazon cart right now. That's so fun. It would have cost me a lot more than the $1 I paid here. Plus, proceeds go back to the library, so win! As I walked around snapping pictures, the staff wanted me to tell you some things. The gentleman monitoring the resource room invites everyone to come in. He's ready with computers, homework help, and more. The ladies at the desk by the hydroponics said this is actually an adult ed class and you will create hydroponics to take home. They said to come out and take part. The cashier at the entrance to the media section offered that there are so many great titles to choose from in the book store. I couldn't agree more. She added that it's a good idea to stop by first when you're think of shopping for books. In all it was a lovely visit and a beautiful day at the blood drive.

The building appears large from the outside, but surprisingly only one floor. The bathrooms are located immediately to the right upon entry. They have a few vending machines in a little cafe type area. Water fountains are available, but no water bottle filler that I could find. The library is split down the middle, with kids section on the left and adults on the right. In the back left, they have a quiet area that is partitioned off with glass walls. In the back middle, they have a couple meeting rooms. There are two 4 person rooms that can be reserved at the information desk based on availability, or by calling the library within 48 hours of needed reservation time. Unfortunately, there is currently not a way to reserve them online ahead of time -- only by phone. There is an adult computer lab in the back left. On the outskirts of the adult section are several big reading chairs. There are only a handful of tables, which I think is something they could improve. Surprisingly, the noise level was at a minimum despite the kids section being open to the entire library.

It wasn't until a week later that I realized what had happened. My heart sank, as the USB contained very important documents. I visited the library on a Sunday afternoon and explained the situation to a staff member. They asked for the date and time of my visit, then carefully retrieved my USB -- neatly wrapped and stored inside a red wallet for safekeeping. I was truly moved. They hadn't just set it aside -- they had taken the time to wrap it and store it with care, as if they knew how precious it might be to someone. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. My 4- and 8-year-old still talk about him, and going to the library just isn't the same without seeing him there. My daughter practically grew up attending his Storytime. When she first started going, she was extremely shy and would cry if anyone approached her. Mr. Patrick noticed that right away and met her exactly where she was. Instead of overwhelming her, he would gently wave from a distance, give her space, and slowly build trust. Because of him, she became more comfortable and confident in that environment--and that means everything to me as a parent. With my son, he was just as incredible. He took the time to recommend books he knew he'd enjoy and would even walk with us to show him the "cool" chapter books. He didn't just do his job--he genuinely cared. He once said, "Kids can tell if adults are nice or not--they are wise," and he truly lived by that. It's such a shame to see someone like Mr. Patrick leave. People like him make a lasting impact on children and families, and those connections matter more than words can express. That said, we are very grateful for Ms. Jessica and Ms. Melissa. They continue to show kindness and dedication to the kids, and it's clear they are loved by the families who come back week after week. Librarians play such an important role--many of our children grow up with them, and they help shape their love for reading and learning. I truly hope our tax dollars are going toward supporting and properly compensating these amazing individuals who are making a real difference in our community.
