Very nice location. Well organized, clean, and offers a variety of experiences. I've been here for a few events, as well as browsed the books, videos, CDs, etc.

The librarians, administrators, and support staff at Rainbow Library should take pride in their contribution to the Las Vegas community. This library is in great condition, the staff truly cares about the community members that visit. Not only is the Rainbow Library beautiful, it is a welcoming space. The security staff up front monitors the library halls and aisle-ways to make sure everything and everyone is protected. I brought my sister here and we checked out a couple of books. During our visit, we were able to make origami, walk around the Teen Zone, the youth library, the puzzles. There's endless amount of resources here and I'll definitely be back here soon!!

Such a quaint little library. Love how the new libraries are so bright and have all these fun activities going on. Tried the crochet class, highly recommend it! The volunteers are super helpful and supportive.

Nice, quiet, well kempt. Lots of desks have access to electricity so that you can plug in your laptop. I come here everytime i am in Vegas. Nice quiet place to work and catch up on email. For some reason my laptop couldn't connect to their wifi, but my phone could

This is not my favorite Vegas library. Personnel are limited, and service is pretty nonexistent. If you can't find what you're looking for, try using the computerized card catalogue. If you still can't find it, you're pretty much SOL. Large kids/teen section is appealing, adult section is large and fairly well organized. The new releases are by the self-checkout section. A lot of people seem to reserve their books online, and several shelves by the entry way are taken up with the pickup section. As George W's review mentions, I'm a little baffled as to why the library looks so big on the outside but the inside is cramped together. They seem to have more than half of their space dedicated to community services and programs like tax help and tutoring- great services, but makes for a lesser experience for readers.

Do you hear the Buffalo calling? Before there was Sin City, before the Las Vegas desert was known as Atomic City. Mojave desert belonged to the Natives. Nevada natives known for their expertise as hunters. And in the age of the Wild West those natives depended on the Buffalo for food, shelter, and tools for everyday life. Today, the trail of the Buffalo still exist. It is known as Buffalo Drive. And all the necessities any hunter requires can be found at the Buffalo library. From the images included you will see this place is a doorway directly to our imagination. A gateway to limitless fields of topics. A rainbow leading to golden knowledge. A portal to a universal world of stories. Now that you heard the call of the Buffalo, are you ready to find your own calling?

A newly designed library card. My daughter picked this one out for me

The Rainbow Library is located near where my 2 youngest children go to school, so it's very convenient in terms of distance. I myself constantly check out comic book graphic novels whenever I go. I've recently checked out some books in regards to Journalism since I desire to go into that field in the near future.

My daughter and I really wanted a movie night without spending more money! The holidays really tapped out this mama...so, I called our local library, Enterprise, to request Pitch Perfect 1 & 2. Unfortunately, they were all checked out... Enterprise was kind to call this location to reserve the copies for us to pick up before close that evening. When we arrived, we first noticed the security guards which is standard for all the libraries (from my observation)we also found a huge, inviting space, with a ginormous selection of movies! Yes, we were really excited!! We checked out two more movies, Girl on a Train and Logan. In addition to the movies, I thought I'd look for a book my doc recommended, which to my delight, I found! And, once I was feeling all book nerded out another book caught my eye so I got it too! The reference staff were so kind and helpful and probably gave the best experience out of any library, except the children's staff at Enterprise, who are fabulous too! And the woman at the help desk with the silver hair and teal highlights was very nice and helpful! Even though it's a long drive for us, we'll return to this location in the future.

Whenever I've had a question at the front desk or needed help checking something out, I've never had to wait long. One of the best things about this location is the self-checkout system. It's super easy to use ... you don't even have to scan each book, DVD, or video game individually. Just place everything on the scanner and it checks everything out at once. They also have a great selection of PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch games, which is something a lot of people probably don't realize libraries offer. The DVD selection is solid too. It gives me a little nostalgia of walking through Blockbuster back in the day. Instead of paying for streaming services all the time, I'd definitely recommend supporting your local library. I usually reserve my books, movies, or games online, and they notify me when they're ready. I just stop by, pick them up, and check out. The whole process is really smooth. One time they even called me quickly to let me know I accidentally returned my own video game with the library items, which I really appreciated. Renewing items online is also super easy. As long as nobody else has requested the item, they usually let you renew it without any issues. I personally don't stay long enough to study or hang around, so I can't really speak on the noise level like some reviews mention and rude employee interactions. For what I use it for ... quick pickups and returns, it has been perfect. The parking lot is spacious, and they even have 3D printers available for public use, which is pretty cool. You can also renew passports here, so the library really offers a lot more services than people realize. I've been to multiple libraries in the valley, including the Sahara location, and this library has consistently been one of the easiest and nicest ones I've been to.

My company sponsors it, so I brought thank you gifts for donors. The Red Cross staff is kind and gracious. I didn't take any photos inside the blood drive for privacy reasons, but it was full of exceptional members of our community set on saving lives. Whenever I visit Centennial Hills Library I always check out the book store, and it never disappoints. I usually get children's books to donate to the Obodo library. This time the books were for me though. I have that Kamala Harris book "The Truths We Hold" in my Amazon cart right now. That's so fun. It would have cost me a lot more than the $1 I paid here. Plus, proceeds go back to the library, so win! As I walked around snapping pictures, the staff wanted me to tell you some things. The gentleman monitoring the resource room invites everyone to come in. He's ready with computers, homework help, and more. The ladies at the desk by the hydroponics said this is actually an adult ed class and you will create hydroponics to take home. They said to come out and take part. The cashier at the entrance to the media section offered that there are so many great titles to choose from in the book store. I couldn't agree more. She added that it's a good idea to stop by first when you're think of shopping for books. In all it was a lovely visit and a beautiful day at the blood drive.

Yelp! review #50 of 2025…read more We come to Centennial Hills Library about once a month for a wonderful writing workshop that the library graciously hosts (huge thank-you to the staff for making that happen every time!). Plenty of free parking, the building is always spotless, feeling very safe and secure - there's even a security guard keeping an eye on the common areas. Public restrooms are surprisingly clean and well-stocked. There's a little vending machine nook perfect for grabbing a quick drink or snack between chapters. The workshop room is comfortable and quiet, and we love checking the events calendar ahead of time because there's almost always something else cool going on (story time, author talks, craft events) that we can pair with our workshop day. This branch is a hidden gem in the northwest - welcoming, well-maintained, and community-focused. We always look forward to our monthly visit and can't recommend it enough!
