A sign in the window said "be back soon". After waiting in the heat for about 20 minutes I called the number I had for them and was told to use the microphone by the building and someone would come help. Well ok nice to know. We got checked in and were told they had no power or water. It would be on before 9 pm. And then they put us in the second row and said no one but members get the front row. Well you would think if they are trying to sell you a membership they would try to really treat you. There were several spots open in the front row. Our neighboring RV in the 2nd row was about 15 feet away from our front door. Their sewer hose ran right next to our picnic table. By the time e finally got settled in and were able to turn on the AC it was time for bed. The next morning we took our dogs down to the dog beach. Where exactly is it? Had to walk thru other people's camps to finally get to it. It was a pretty good walk from our location which was a bit hard for seniors with mobility issues. After the dog park we were pretty much ready to leave. The park has no shade and unless you want to sit outside and smell your neighbors sewage you have no other choice than to just sit in your RV. With dogs, we didn't want to leave them in the RV to annoy our neighbors who would surely be able to hear the if they barked. So we packed up and left and found a beautiful Arizona state park to stay at. Emerald Cove might be okay for some but it just wasn't it for us.

This place has a restaurant for some good food and multiple bars open on the weekend for some good drinks and a club with a DJ on the weekends ! They have a bunch of beach areas and RV parking as well. This place has everything you need and it's so close to pirates den and emerald cove. The places to eat are also super close by and the Safeway and Walmart are legit 15 min away to stock up all your needs. They sell ice also $7 for a 16 lbs bag at roadrunners incase you need to stock up on ice. The place is chill and the people are also chill. You will ofcourse run into some people who have 0 River etiquette and are rude for no reason but most people are chill and respectful. You can leave your skeleton up for your eazy up as well and no one will mess with it so we loved that. Def a place for River vibes ! Will be back soon!

My room had a beautiful view of the Colorado River, complete with a full patio and seating--such a nice bonus. The room itself was big, spacious, and very comfortable. Coffee and tea were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, which was fantastic. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A couple of things to note: there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms--only available in the lobby--and the pool was closed for remodeling during my stay. There is a small but cozy exercise room, and parking was plentiful. Dining options were great. BlueWater Grill is perfect for casual snacks and breakfast (opens at 7am), while River Willow has a more upscale feel and is excellent for dinner with friends or family. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, plenty of parking, and even free RV parking that can accommodate large rigs. Cheers!
