Very disappointing experience. We rented one of Echo Lodge's "refurbished" trailers, expecting it to be suitable for the desert climate. Instead, it was equipped with an outdated air conditioning unit that simply could not keep up with outside temperatures of 118-120°F. In this kind of extreme heat, functioning air conditioning is a basic expectation--not an amenity. The trailer remained uncomfortably warm throughout our stay, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep comfortably. It's hard to understand how these units are still being rented during the hottest months of the year without upgraded cooling systems. What made the experience even worse was the resort's response. After bringing the issue to their attention, the only resolution offered was an apology. No effort was made to provide another accommodation, a fan, a partial refund, or any other meaningful solution. My impression is that the resort has little incentive to improve these accommodations because it's one of the few places offering riverfront campsites and direct beach access. With such a desirable location, I expected the accommodations and customer service to reflect the premium guests are paying. Instead, it felt like the location was doing all the work while the quality of the lodging and the response to legitimate concerns fell well short. If you're considering staying here during the summer, I would strongly advise against booking one of these trailers unless you can confirm it has a modern, properly functioning A/C system. For the rates charged, guests deserve accommodations that can safely and comfortably handle the local temperatures. Unfortunately, we left feeling that customer comfort and satisfaction were not a priority. read more

Aside from the maintenance team who we got to know very well; customer service here does not exist. If you rent a trailer, expect for the restroom not to work. We booked our stay a year in advance for the weekend of the float and we unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. We rented three trailers, 2/3 were missing at check in, 1/3 had no running water or ac. You would think management would test out the trailers before our arrival and ensure the trailers were at the right location at check in. The rentals were not cheap. I expected more from this place. Aside from the trailers, parker is always a blast. We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I love to travel with my motorhome and have visited many sites on the Colorado river and Havasu over the years. This location is great, I got a spot first row on the water. Overall the resort is very clean and having the motorhome straight on the water is a big plus. It was a bit disappointing that they only have a 30A service at the resort and that means only one AC running and that's not enough with the high temperature in that area. The store is missing many things such as a 30 A adapter that you think they will have plenty of due to the idea that they only have 30A service on site. Have been coming to echo for over 20 years . Place is now a disaster!! Bathrooms are DISGUSTINGLY GROSS AND FILTHY! Paradise bar is very sad , people are VERY rude that work or own it . Pools are dirty. My friend was charged an extra $75 as they were 35 min early for check in - what a disgrace ! There's no advertising for the bar/restaurant so that's why it's always empty . So much potential, but little effort from ownership to make this place what it could be. Bathrooms are disgusting. Showers are dirty and tiny. The office staff is horrendous at getting back to you when you call and leave a message. Security guard is a power tripping idiot. For comparison, stayed at Sundance a few weeks ago. Bathrooms were the best I've ever seen at a campground. Showers are clean and big. They even have luscious green grass around some of the campsites. My water cartridge filter was spotless after a weekend of camping. At echo, it's brown as sewage water. If echo put half the effort Sundance does, it would be great. But it's run terribly by owners who just don't care. read more

Our 3rd year staying at Echo Resort. We rented spot 131 on the water for 5 months. We parked our rig in November and no one was parked next to us. In January when we came back we were greeted by our neighbor with vulgar language, screaming at us that we were trespassing that our rig was on part of his site. All of his cussing and yelling to the point he became threatening. We immediately called the manager and left a voicemail explaining the situation and that I was scared with our neighbors threatening us and his vulgar speech. The manager and security in the park were called several times and we even sent an email asking management to intervene. When Tom and Security did come to the Coach they were good listeners. However, The manager Tom Was not proactive in solving the problem. Tom tried to come to more of a resolution by placating both parties. This man Phil even put a fence up so we could not open our bins. Phil also placed Cat litter boxes out to keep people from Parking in his spot. For management to allow a guest to bully another guest, Put a fence up Restricting us from Getting in our bins and threaten us is irresponsible. In This day and time all threats should be taken seriously. We Left Echo 2 months early due to the fact that our neighbor was literally out of control In anger and insults. Many other long term returned campers said Phil has had conflicts with many!! The location and facilities are nice. read more

Here goes another "if I could give 0 stars I would" review. This was our 1st visit and I can't say we will be back, at least not to Echo Lodge Resort. The only reason we went is because we have friends who have been going annually for 10 or so years. If I had read the reviews 1st I probably wouldn't have gone. 1st the good. The location is the best of the best, at least for the spot we had, #112. Beautiful canyon and hills view with no one on the other side of the river. Check-in/out was super easy. Customer service for us was very good. Hooking up our small 1998 RV was super simple, everything we needed was readily available. One night in the middle of the night the power went out but kicked ack on in less than 10 minutes. The bad....So bad. The place stank to high hell of sewage, it was so disgusting. The bathrooms were horrible before a storm rolled through and un-usable after. The showers & toilets for both the men & women backed up and overflowed with raw sewage from any potential opening it could. It was left like that for 2 days!! Once the backup was remedied it wasn't any better as no one and I mean no one cleaned the bathrooms excels for a hosing off of the concrete floor. The showers and toilets were literally covered in shit and 100% un-useable. The stench was even worse than when we arrived and stank up our RV as we were right across from the bathrooms! The other bathroom noted on the map is only available during the stores open hours so roughly 8am-4pm. I you had to go you were SOL! The 1st time I went they were pretty dirty too but the second time someone had cleaned and they weren't so bad. It was very obvious that the owners of this place don't give a shit about their customers. I don't think I'll be back unless or until this place shows it can drastically improve the facilities and show they they care about the people who pay to come stay read more

We've been coming with family for years staying in the mobile home but this time we came in our 40' toy hauler, we stayed in the second row, near the back end of the resort. It was during spring break time in April, we had no issues at all with electrical or water, maybe because it wasn't very hot. Everything is decently maintained, I see maintenance around everywhere answering repair calls and checking on guests making sure everything is good. Check in was quick and easy and staff friendly. No donkeys on the proper as they've fenced the back area off. The beach is clean and just a couple steps away, club paradise was closed because it was during the week and unfortunately the pool was empty because they were refacing it, that's the only thing the kids were sad about. We might try and stay beach front next time but will definitely be back. read more

This was my first time at Parker Dam and at Echo Lodge and it was awesome. We arrived late for the 5pm deadline check in,arrived at 8 and our trailer was open for us with the air conditioning on . Yes the trailer is outdated but it was clean and bug free,that's all that mattered to me. The next morning we checked in and was greeted with waves and "good morning" by the residents who live on the property. We reserved a RV on the beach which was perfect to park our Jet skis for the evening and to simply sit outside enjoy Mother Nature and a cocktail by the river front. When the sun rises over the rocks and mountains you can hear the first boat taking a drive on the river, which had us enthusiastic to put our swim gear and life vests on and enjoy the day! We ate at Paradise restaurant on the property which was great the both times we ate and drank there. The bartenders were really nice and struck up conversations with us new comers. I enjoyed our three days at Echo Lodge and will return next season. read more

I have been RVing for over 20 years. Never in my life have I seen a place like this. The customer service is horrible. The lady in the store will you check in was so rude I could not believe it. We had lost power on the whole row of RVs in 120° weather because their electrical infrastructure is poor. They tried to blame the weather but it's not the weather you still have to have electrical outlets that can handle RVs been plugged in to AC's The place smells like a sewer pit. The bathrooms were filthy. There is no Wi-Fi that works properly. How this place gets any positive reviews is they are probably paying for those reviews. I would recommend you pick a different RV parked in this one if you want to come down to this area of the Colorado river. read more

So where do I start... I'll start with the good stuff, 1)the view Is very beautiful, the grounds are clean, and the river is near by. Well we accidentally booked a trailer, and couldn't cancel, due to the holiday, it was impossible, we didn't want to lose our relationship with the friend who made the reservation. Well we were expecting a 5th wheel.... but to our surprise it turn out to be a small Salen trailer with one queen bed and a pair of slender twin beds. Mind you our husband are not small nor are we we had to make other sleeping arrangements . No kitchen table! restroom super small and tight you have to open the door take a step out to wipe your butt! Totally ridiculous! The price was outrageous read more

Our first time here. This is really probably a 3 1/2 but because of the location I bumped it up. We rented a park owned travel trailer which was decent but if we were staying in our own trailer it would have been much more comfortable. It is nice to be able to go and sleep in something other than a tent and the ac worked great! Just bring a pad or air mattress to sleep on if you don't like a hard bed. The bathroom and showers were clean enough. It was a typical campground shower. The pool area looked nice but since we were camped at the river front location we spent our time there. It was nice to be able to launch the boat once and have access to it easily from our campsite. The stores prices were not bad for the location and they carried a little bit of everything. Not sure how there are anything but ZERO stars for Echo Lodge, the place is a pit!!! Any rating over 3 likely is Echo Lodge rating themselves. The staff is rude! They literally hung up on my during a call while I was evaluating making a change. The grounds guys are jerks. When you see them changing a breaker on a power tower, they are pissy. Speaking of power, if your rig needs anything close to 30amps, you will NOT get it. I saw volts in the low 100s at best, I heard one guy say he had 99 volts. If you advertise 30, you better deliver 30! Their solution was to change out breakers all day. Oh, and tell you that you seem to be the only one experiencing power issues. Liars too! They forget RV-ers talk. It was not particularly hot that weekend either, the power should be able to keep up with the demand. Be sure to pre-filter your water hook-up too. You will get a fully bright orange filter in about 3 days! The bathrooms were are disaster! They smell, are filthy and never seem to be cleaned. Never once saw a bathroom get serviced. Peeling paint, shower stalls in disrepair with missing curtains and of course no AC... So stifling hot. Large garbage bins were over flowing. The sewer smells are a common occurrence as well. We left a day early, it was that bad. Do NOT stay at Echo Lodge. There has to be a better location. We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Travel Trailer. read more

A large group of our family and friends have been enjoying Echo Lodge for 6 years. Unfortunately, the lady that has been taking reservations was not only unbelievably rude to us, but also to other people who walked in the store. She actually hollered in exasperation at a man in front of everyone for nothing! We were quite embarrassed for him. This lady should not be working there and needs a serious attitude adjustment. She should be working in a dungeon away from human contact! The bathrooms are a mess and the restaurant/bar are consistently inconsistent with the customer service and hours. I don't know where the owners are finding their employees, other than maybe the dungeon in which the reservation lady ought to be sent. Being with family and friends and meeting the great people staying there is what keeps bringing us back, not the staff!!! read more

We reserved a spot on the water for a 3-night stay in July 2023. We arrive and check-in. We drive to our site 106 and there is a 5th wheel parked there. I tried calling the office but it goes to voicemail with a full mailbox so no way to leave a message. Since it was close to 4pm (closing time) I drive the motorhome all the way back to the office about a mile over many speed bumps. I speak to the person that checked us in. He calls on his radio to the lot person and I hear the lot person say that "they need to find another spot as no one is there to move any trailers". The onsite manager looks at the up-coming reservations list and lets me know that most have other people coming in the next day or two so he gives me a list that I can't park in. So, I drive back to find an alternate site and almost every site that is along that riverfront area has an Echo rental trailer sitting empty. I found a site between two rentals that was open. I see the security guy following me along the way. Once I park, I went and spoke to the security guy and let him know the situation and he acknowledges that the manager informed him. As others have mentioned the bathrooms are disgusting and have not been cleaned in days. Two of the three toilets in the men's room were full of crap, and the temperature in the restroom was about 130 degrees. I'm sure you can get a visual on this... This was a Sunday. No one cares about anything except Saul the yard guy who is a great guy and been there for years. I was a manufactured homeowner (UL row) there for over twenty years and this place has gone downhill since we sold 3 years ago. This was my first return trip there since we sold our home at Echo. The grounds used to be raked and cleaned weekly. I don't think they have raked leaves or even done anything to keep this place up. I see some new white picket fence and a new stop sign but that's about it. I'm never going back and I'm so glad I sold my place there when I did. CRA is all about the money and they don't give a damn about the customers... Oh one more thing, the water that comes out of the faucets is about 120 degrees and will clog your filter. I won't even put that water in my RV and surely is not drinkable. At my home there I had to buy a $3000 water filter just to be able to use my washer... read more

My family has come here 6 times over the last 20 years. 5 of the trips I was just a kid. This last trip July 23-27, 2014 was my first time going as an adult and a parent myself. As a kid, it was great because the kids are just there to have fun. As an adult? I'm not going back ever again. The whole place needs some TLC so bad. Nothing has changed in 20 years and things are falling apart. Between myself and the rest of my extended family, we rented 3 of their Salem RV trailers and ALL 3 were SO SO SO DISGUSTING. They haven't been cleaned in years. Broken mirrors, wallpaper peeling off the walls, missing curtains, lights burnt out, bent/broken blinds, microwaves falling out of the kitchen unit, sand/dirt incrusted into every crevice of the entire RV, the bed feels like you're laying on springs, there were long strands of tangled up hair balls stuck to the material of the couch cushions, the bathtub/shower are stained a nasty brown/orange color from the well water used there, all 3 smelled like a porta-potty and the minute you used the water in the RV, you would get this overwhelming smell of rotten eggs + butthole. (Sorry to be gross...but there's just no other way to describe it. It was GROSS) The common bathroom/shower building is nasty as well. Dead bugs are everywhere, soap dispenser was never filled and it looked/smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in months....or ever. Don't misunderstand me....I know camping isn't supposed to be a relaxing and a 'clean' vacation. It's alot of work especially with kids. BUT SERIOUSLY....if I am going to rent an RV, I expect it to be clean, in working order and free of traces from the previous tenants. And it wasn't. If you are coming to Echo Lodge, just bring your own RV and don't use the public bathrooms....then you should be good. read more

It's incredibly sad that such a beautiful spot (if on the beach) on the river, that many families have enjoyed for decades, is being run into the ground. The Echo Lodge name is being tarnished due to how it's being ran. I used to rave about this place but after our most recent experience, myself and my family/friends will no longer visit this rv park. The bathrooms are disgusting and dangerous with how obvious it is that they are never touched. The electric grid is outdated and trips even with ONLY the ac running. They advertise they can do 30 amps but NO ONE, in ANY spot could get past 25 without it tripping. The staff is dismissive and rude - ignores phone calls, voicemails, and inquiries. Their response to the breakers tripping is that "well, it's hot in the desert". I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt this last time because I get that you're not in the trailer most of the time during the day because of the heat HOWEVER if you have a children with you and, heaven forbid, need to have your child take a nap in a cool area - your options are basically left to praying they don't overheat as you hold them in the shade, in the water because it's 95 degrees in the trailer that doesn't have a working AC - and this is AFTER consistently trying to get the breaker to work over and over again. There was a young family was forced to leave because the people they were staying with could not get the AC to stay on and it was dangerous for their very small children to be in such heat. They had paid months in advance for three nights and were there for barely 24 hours and weren't refunded ANY of their money, not even a credit. Not even an offer of a different trailer. If you really want a beach spot, then a day pass is the only option for this place. Echo is dangerous (the bathrooms/showers are literally an accident waiting to happen and the breakers are so old that they are falling apart). The lack of care this site is getting and the way it's being ran...it's going to put them out of business. It's shameful what they are doing to this once great location. Hopefully a better business owner can buy this place up, replace specific staff members, and turn things around. read more

Great atomoshere and ran by some great managers Amy and her husband! What a delight there are and I have to say they are doing a great job. Why a rate of 3? Beautiful clean resort with all the amenities.....I spent 7 months there...mostly during the cooler months...once the heat showed up, unfortunately I had to pack it up and leave due to the fact this resort does NOT have 50 amp service. The 30 amp wasn't enough juice to run both AC's nor was it enough juice to run 1 ac....my 32 foot 5th wheel couldn't cool down enough. I do recommend this place for all you 30 ampers. They are little high in price but are located in a prime spot. read more

This is one of the best places to bring your tents, trailers, fifth wheels and big RV's. It's one of the most beautiful spots. It has a nice beach, bathrooms that work well and a little place to eat and drink where you don't have to leave the park. I go from the damn to the casino and this is the best place. read more

Pros: It's on the river and you can rough it and rent a trailer or bring your own RV and be right on the beach. Being on the beach with your own RV is really the only good thing about this place. The bar/restaurant is okay and they have a nice pool outside. Cons: The rental trailers are small and in poor shape; stove igniter, locks and mini blinds all broken. There is one double sized bed, one convertible bench seat/bed and a two bunk beds. The bunk beds have some sort of plastic covering on them that I'm not sure how clean they are. The bathroom is tiny, so if you weigh more than 165 pounds, you might have trouble. There is a bathroom building with flies, a non-working sink, burned out lights, falling shower curtains and toilets that have not been cleaned in a few years. I saw a maintenance guy once, who one handed swept the floors, sort of, but was gone in two minutes. I've been camping before, and campground bathrooms are usually pretty funky, but this bathroom was dirtier than usual ones. Don't leave any food item outside, as the wild burros will come through eat and trash everything. read more

Never again, I had a five month reservation and when I got there went into site 122, the next day I was horrified by a smell. It was so bad it made me gag and brought tears to my eyes. I spoke to management and they said they were full and we could not move. I told the manager that I couldn't stand the smell, he said we couldn't move. 36 days later he let us move to another spot on the river that's what I had reserved for the rest of the month then he wanted us to move to a spot not on the river or back into 122. 122 is toxic and so is 154, they have holding tanks for the sewer under them and the manager told us none of the pumps were working. Management said we could move if they have a cancellation so we told them if they don't have a beach spot we will be moving on the first. Not even 12 hours later they had a cancellation and gave the spot to someone that just got there that was in 154 after asking to move for two days. This so called resort is bad there is dog poop as you go into the office and on the big rocks and they don't even tell there employees to clean it up. The manger said he would give us our deposit of $399.00+ tax back if we moved. Now that we are moving after they treated us like crap and wanting us to stay in the shit spot, no thanks. I tried to contact the owners and the manger and the store clerk all lie about everything. They went as far as to lie about me saying I had nose surgery and that's why I can't stand the smell. Never had nose surgery. All of the snowbirds are scared to say anything, they are afraid of being tossed out, like they did to us. They pushed us out. They do have the best beach, but the worst facilities they have been remodeling the bar/restaurant for three years. They are in need of some TLC and new management the live at river bend where no one can contact them after hours. The mangers wife was in the store behind the counter and she told me twice not my job. read more
