I gave this company one star do to the fact I couldn't give zero stars. We had an appointment set up last week and they called us an hour before to cancel do to an emergency. My husband and I were both understanding. We just had our appointment and I couldn't get the sales rep out of my house quick enough. Marc was cocky and as soon as he stepped foot in our basement he stated "wow, these windows are going to be pricey." First off, he's probably never installed a window before in his life. Second, just because you are a sales rep for a company doesn't make you an "expert." Once we sat down to go over numbers he stated that if someone calls from the company to tell them he was at our house for two hours and did his whole spiel. He was here for 20 minutes too long. He then told us that window nation is the only company that will do all the installation correctly and that any contractor we get will do half the job they will do. He then proceeded to tell us that window nation tried to do roofing at some point and was a bust. Who says that to a couple that was going to spend almost $7,000 on BASEMENT WINDOWS. We never saw any prices on his iPad that he kept playing with nor did we see the windows we would be paying for. He then told us that the steel frame is VERY difficult and that he doesn't see that at all. That's weird.. aren't you supposed to be a window company? Our house was built in the 60's not that old. I then had to stop him from trying to trash talk every other contractor and how this company is the best ever. I told him we had another appointment with someone else (my uncle)a contractor. He proceeded to trash talk the "contractor" not knowing it's family. My uncle called in the middle of the conversation. I took the call and told him everything. This company is nothing but a SCAM. We went from $7,000 to $6,400 to $4,000 because they knew we had someone else- competition for them. The labor alone was around $3,500. PLEASE, save yourself time and do not go with this company. We are a mid 30's couple with our first house. I'm glad I have a great intuition about people. I knew from the start I wouldn't dare have this company do our windows. I will give 5 stars up for the sales rep, Sam, who was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and has stellar visuals on for window performance. Sam definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty - Give this man a raise! I also have to say that he laid the ground work for the next sales person who's presentation was not clearly as explanatory or in depth, and as you can see did not get the job. Frank, came a few days so later to take the exact window measurements. He was very professional, also knowledgeable, and friendly as well. So, now we wait for the windows to be installed. read more

Another customer review, same terrible service. Shame on me for not researching this company. I am deeply disturbed by their consistent shady business practices and complete lack of compassion and regard for other humans, especially children. I got windows installed Friday 7/31/20. Our house was built in 20s. Salesman, Pete, said they were HEPA certified and would take necessary precautions including taping off area with caution tape along with other precautions. None of that was done. I have a 1 and 3 year old in house. Also, being that I never bought windows, I didn't know the difference between replacement and new construction (and I paid the price in multiple ways). I don't need new construction windows but I wasn't told that replacement windows would be smaller on each side by 2.5 inches (losing 5 inches of glass on each window). When windows were installed our 15,000 BTU air conditioner that cools the entire downstairs wouldn't fit back in the window. When called Windows Nation to discuss, was bounced around from person to person only to be told that customer service would call me back by the end of the day. Did this Friday and Saturday and Monday until someone finally called back, Dawn, and said there's very little they'll be able to do about the air conditioner "if anything". At no point did Pete say our windows would be significantly smaller. Now they say they're not responsible because it's in the fine print of the contract (purposely). The air conditioner wouldn't have been a problem if they told us ahead of time. We would have had another air conditioner ready to go because it was during the hottest days of the summer that our windows were replaced (above 95 with high humidity everyday that weekend. PA Attorney General recommended people stay indoors especially children and elderly). Instead they left us scrambling to find a cool place for our one-year-old and three-year-old over the weekend. We can't exactly walk around Walmart and Target during the pandemic. It was a disaster for us. They showed a complete disregard for their customers well-being because they actually don't care. If you take a look at the responses from the owners on all these Yelp reviews, they take very little responsibility for their poor business practices. Each customer bad review is the same. Windows get installed something goes wrong and now they can't be reached. Same story here. Also those screens weren't put in right. There's clear gap in the screens. We were told that the screens would be completely flush. They were supposed to call us to set up a new appointment to get screens fixed. That hasn't happened yet. Also to top it all off, we were charged $6,000 for 6 middle of the line vinyl Windows. After doing some research, I now realize that is a complete rip-off. Probably going to contact BBB, FTC, and Pennsylvania State Attorney General for violating safety and HEPA regulations. Don't ever use this company...EVER!!! read more

I was referred to this company by a friend who had a great experience with them. I on the contrary had a very bad experience, They installed 15 windows in my home and the work was not done to my satisfaction, I called and they offered me a $150 gift card, which I received yesterday, to my surprise the gift card can only be use towards another house project which I don't have any need for since I completed installing all windows and what make them think that after this bad experience I want to hire them again, The communication was bad all the way, so they really did not give me anything because I will not have a need to use the gift card they send me. Also some of the window screens are not aligned with the windows, I called them again, they send an inspector and 2 wks later no one has come to fix them, I called again yesterday and there was nothing on their records of the inspectors visit. Now I have to wait until they send another inspector to look at it eventhough I send them picture and I guess wait 2 more wks after that to get the problem solve. I forgot the other issue, the send three workers to do the job and none of them spoke english, I had to communicate with them via signs and pointing things out, the spoke Portugees. I had windows installed in my house yesterday. The entire experience was one that I would love to forget as soon as possible. From the time they showed up to my house there were problems. Their "lead safe prsctice", was to lay moving blankets down on my floor in three different spots. That was it. There are lead paint chips all over my house, all over my yard, all over my driveway, and all over my roof. Just waiting to be washed into my yard when it rains. The work on the inside is not professional looking. The caulking looks like it was done by an amateur. I can only imagine what is behind the flashing they put up. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR SALES PITCH! I am so dissatisfied I am going to make sure I post about this hack job everywhere I can. read more

Don't waste your time. I've been gradually replacing my windows through my local contractor. Good quality Anderson windows that he charged less than $400 each including installation. Since he had some health problems when I was looking to replace 4 more I decided to call Window Nation after hearing their buy 1, get 1 free offer on the radio. After sitting through an hour presentation and playing a little game of guessing what their price would be (knew I was in trouble then) I was presented with an estimate of $4200!!! When I asked "what about the get one free part of deal", the salesman said the windows were free but I still paid for the installation. I guess all their installers have masters degrees in mechanical engineering. He then said the best price he could offer was $2800. Uh, no thanks. Take your "free" windows up the street. What a bunch of scammers. Do yourself a favor - find an independent installer who won't waste an hour of your life and will likely offer you an affordable price on replacement windows. read more

Had widow nation put 11 windows in also in contract 3 sills replaced. Come to find out they were NOT replaced just caped. Try to contact window nation . Took 3 weeks to get back to us. We are now having siding put on house which is on hold because of sills. Window nation offered us 250$ Visa card for the sills. On October 23,2018, I had 7 windows replaced by window nation. After the job was completed, I saw a dent in the side panel molding on each window.I informed customer service. I spoke to two customer reps.Both reps, Jen, and T Murrell, stated they wanted to resolve the problem.Per Jen ,a installer came out, when I was not home, and checked the windows. According to Jen, the dents were there prior to the installation per the installer.The dents were not there!.Window Nation has poor window installers as well as poor customer service. read more

I just had windows replaced in our house one set by Renewal by Anderson and the other set by Window Nation. I love the Renewal by Anderson even though they cost twice as much as Window Nation. I have had a service call into Window Nation now for a week and still no response. I even called them again after the date they were to contact me by. The Finance company called me to see if they could release funds to them and I told them no way. If I had to do it over again I would definitely pay the higher priced Renewal by Anderson and get better quality windows and service. read more

What a horrible business model!!! The sales guy was nice but everything else was terrible. The presentation started by basing their competition which was my first red flag, then we finally got a quote after 1.5 hours of listening to a bunch of BS...8 Windows would cost around 5K, but that is only if I signed off that night. If we decided to think about it (like any responsible person would), we would have to pay nearly 8K (the discount is only good during the sales pitch). So if you are not going to make a decision right away, they are basically telling you they'll rob you. This company will not last long, stick with a local contractor who knows how to do business!!! read more

The sales presentation was great and we were impressed enough to buy new windows for the second floor of our home. That is where the greatness came to an end. First, our installation was pushed back because they were to busy and did not have enough installers to meet their commitment. When they did come to install the windows, they sent two gentlemen that appeared to know nothing about windows except they are glass and you can see through them. I complained during the entire installation to both the salesman as well as their supervisor. Both assured me they were being installed to "industry standard". The window installed in our bedroom was installed into a rotted frame. We knew this and were specifically told the framing would be replaced. It was not. When I talked to the installers, they let me know they only replace the windows and nothing else. When I complained to their supervisor, they were nice enough to fill in the rot with caulk. The "antimicrobial spray" that kills mold and mildew was put on AFTER the windows were installed. Not sure what good that did. After they left, I called and had a long talk with my salesman who told me "well, I guess it's to late to put the toothpaste back in the tube." When I filled out the survey I gave them very low marks and received a nasty phone call for doing it. Fast forward a couple of months and the siding above the windows began falling off the house. They claim to have nothing to do with that as they would never touch that. Keep in mind that the only siding falling off the house is above the windows they replaced and I called as soon as I saw it sagging. After many calls, they agreed to send someone out to look at it. This technician was just like the first two; he walked in my house, from 25 feet away, looked up and said "not my problem" and left. I have spoken to him multiple times and requested a supervisor call me at least 5 times and STILL have not heard from anyone. One of the bad storms in March finally ripped the siding from my home and I had to pay a contractor to replace it. I disputed the bill with the credit card company which prompted an angry and yelling phone call from another employee. read more

Would not recommend to anyone! Sales guy is very tricky, tells you whatever you want to hear...gives a discount and says we'll get the best window but wrote in the contract for a lower model window. Good thing we reread the contract and called someone immediately. Was told during the sale that they would install the bay window with roof and quoted a price. Measurement guy comes out and says that based on where the window is they cannot build a roof, price remained the same, was assured the outcome would still be favorable. We didn't like the outcome and contacted customer service, took weeks for a response, had to keep emailing and calling requesting for someone higher up. Job done in sept/oct and to this day not yet resolved. So far they say "that's how it's supposed to look"..but before the sale they say they are going to do whatever it takes to make sure we are happy with the outcome... This is only a part of it, it makes me angry every time I think about everything we had to go through, what a nightmare! Didn't even get to mention how many days off we had to take for them to come out! read more

He pays lots of attention to the details. The installers for my windows and doors were great. Had 23 windows replaced. Jason is the master installer. They cleaned up, took away all the trash and cleaned my windows and floors. My windows and front door look great. The office staff were flexible with my schedule and kept me posted on the progress of making my customer windows and door. Several years ago I had a salesman from Window Nation come out to my house for a quote to replace 5 windows. Even though this was years ago, every time I hear their ad on the radio I cringe and want people to be aware. The salesman went through his sales routine on what kind of window I would be getting etc. He than asked me what I thought the cost would be. I said $1800. His eyes went wide as his quote was for $5000. Of course I said no and he would not leave me his estimate. The very next day I received a call from a manager there saying he had some coupons from home shows and could get the price down. I was skeptical and said "no thank you". Just stop with the games and give the consumer your best price. We are all busy and I do not appreciate someone trying to take advantage of me. I had a great experience with Window Nation. Our Sales rep Joe was straightforward. Which is what we asked for as soon as he arrived. We have been through the whole presentation with other companies prior to so when Joe arrived we knew exactly what we wanted and asked him to get straight to the point. His knowledge was on point and we sealed the deal with purchasing 3 windows for our upstairs bedrooms. When the contractors (Kevin and his crew) they were very nice and respected our home. They even took off their shoes when while going up and down the steps. All in all i would recommend Window Nation to anyone that needs a great quality window and a great quality of service. While we are still in the decision process, I wanted to note Jimmy's professionalism and courtesy during our consultation so that regardless of what we ultimately decide, this doesn't go unnoticed. We met with Jimmy to go over information for some window replacements as well as a roof replacement. Jimmy was very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding throughout our meeting. While he certainly put on a very strong and convincing sales pitch, we at no point felt that we were backed into a corner, and over-pressured into making a knee-jerk decision. Even when we ultimately declined to make a decision at that moment, he was very understanding, and did not make us feel horrible about deciding to do the responsible thing and taking some time to make such a huge decision. I would give ZERO stars, if possible. I am putting in writing all of my complaints, so far with the product and service that we have been given from Windows Nation. Let's begin with the installation on Day 1. September 11, 2017 (my husband and I were under the impression that the windows were supposed to be replaced within that day, however it took 2 full days). That may have been an inconvenience, but more so was the fact that the installers removed all of the windows in the house, placed all new windows, but did not seal any of the windows, and we were left with gaps in the windows for the night (from September 11-12) which included a night filled with draft from the outside and bugs in the house! (Completely unacceptable!). Day 2, September 12, the installers finished their job, we thanked them kindly and they left. When I went outside to take a look at the finished product from the outside, it was horrendous. The windows were not placed properly the borders to ALL of the windows placed look sloppy, they are not even sealed properly from the outside there are gaps, the entire thing is an eyesore. When we started to look closer at the windows from the inside, I noticed that 13/15 windows were placed crooked. I also noticed one of the windows in the living room has a damaged frame. The three-part window in the bedroom was worst of all, placed inappropriately and they damaged the wall around the window and simply applied paint/etc over it to cover it up. Unacceptable. Looks awful. Not to mention there are dirty hand prints on my walls in that room, if Window Nation is supposed to leave your home cleaner than they found it, I'm not sure what happened here. I expect this to be cleaned up. I quickly notified windows nation after my findings around 4PM that same day. "Alex" the manager of the subcontractors contacted me right away apologized and asked if the contractors could return and if we could point out all of the mistakes. I stated, "No problem." When the 2 men working on the windows returned around 45min later, they stormed into my house without knocking, for starters, and appeared really displeased. When I showed them all of the issues they agreed with the few manufacturer damages that I had found with the windows, but they did not agree that the windows were inappropriate from the outside. I stated to them that this was an eyesore and unacceptable, I explained that there were going to be issues that we were a part of an Association and it was for sure not going to be up to standards for the association. The response I got was "The reason they look like that is because everyone else has original windows in the neighborhood, you can't have these windows look that way." Unacceptable!! Fast forward to September 14, Alex the "project manager" came to assess that damages himself. He agreed, took pictures, and apologized. He informed me that it was going to take at MAX, 10 days to reorder new windows and that they were going to come fix all of the damages as soon as the windows arrive, at OUR convenience, as soon as possible . Let's fast forward to today, September 28, I called Alex myself because I had not heard back from him. He told me he would call me back. (3 hours later) I receive a phone call from him stating that he has "no good news for me", and he has no idea about when the windows would be here. He stated that the best he could do was to send someone to start working on the windows that were placed crooked. Unacceptable. He informed be that I should call Windows Nation directly. So I called Windows Nation, I spoke with customer service rep Bryan, as well as his supervisor. They informed me that they will "look into it". UNACCEPTABLE! This should have been looked into on September 14, when "Alex" had ordered the windows. I stated I need an ETA for the windows, the supervisor said that they were unable to tell me. Then she asked me for Alex's number, which I gave to her. She stated, I will call him and give you a call right back. No call back. Called Alex's phone again, no response. At this point I am absolutely disgusted. 7:15 PM (as I am typing this email) I get a phone call from someone else, who told me that he would be working with Alex to put in my "new windows" and correct all the damage done. He just informed me that the windows are on "special order" and will arrive in"about" two weeks. I cannot accept this. I feel like I have been lied to and mislead by this company so far. I am expecting a discount, at the least. I need a concrete date in writing for this project to be completed, otherwise I will be looking to terminate this contract. I had 15 windows installed. After the install I called with some issues that require someone returning to my house to fix. Was told id receive a call later that day, that was days ago. During the installation It was only after someone tracked mud over my off white carpet that they put tarps down, they did try cleaning the mud but I needed to get it shampooed. After the "installers" cleaned up I found white calk on a bathroom light switch, soap dispenser and faucet. Some windows were missing caulk on some sides and rusty nails were left sticking out from the old window removal, they did caulk around them. Out if 10 main windows only 2 had the trim completed, the others didn't get the complete trim on the tops, not sure why . All 5 of the basement windows are drafty between the frame and trim. They are finally sending someone to fix them, 2 months later. read more

I received a quote from Window Nation on Friday, 4/21. I was told to set aside 90 minutes for this presentation. The sales person was in and out in about 25 minutes. I was given 3 quotes immediately. I would be very careful with how they present their pricing. First I was given the manufacturers suggested retail price. Not sure I understood this, since Window Nation manufactures their own windows. That price was $38,000. Then I was given a promotional price of $25,000. This was based on buy 2, get 2 free. This applies only to the windows, not the installation. Finally, I was given a 3rd quote that I was told was only good while the sales person was there of $18,000. This price is heavily discounted (they say) because they don't want to send their sales people out to a location twice. I am in sales, and this reason made no sense to me, at least not for a difference of $7,000. Finally, I received a follow up from a person in their office with a quote of $18,000 that was good for 60 days. I asked him why that price was being extended when I was told that it was only good until the sales person left my home. I was given a few nonsense answers, but let them know I would be in touch if and when I was ready. I guess my review would go like this. I liked their pitch, and think they do offer a good product. The sales person was knowledgeable about his product. I am not a fan of the games they play with the pricing. Just give me your bottom line and let me make a decision. Stop it with the "special" pricing and operate in a straight up manner. If you want my business give me your best price up front. I walked away from this like I had just left a used car lot. For anyone considering Window Nation, based on my experience, don't be fooled by a "sign today" price. You will still be able to get that price. read more

DO NOT GET WORK DONE FROM Window Nation! This nightmare started the day I signed the contract to replace my doors and two windows, thankfully I did not contract them to replace all windows in my house. I was advised the job would be started around February 28, 2018 ; however this day came and went without me receiving any information. I personally had to call the company to schedule a new date as they never contacted me. They scheduled me for March 15th and again they day came without any contact or installation. I had to again call and schedule a date and they finally came on April 6th to install the doors and windows 6 months after I signed the contact (which is way outside their guaranteed installation timeframe). I picked this company based on the commercials I heard on TV and the radio around the extensive training that all employees have that work for Window Nation. When my doors and windows finally were installed they were not done correctly; missing parts, doors/windows not aligned properly causing issues with closing, slated installation, and worse of all a poor finish job which left numerous issues with the surrounding drywall and flooring. I have been fighting back and forth with the company for 2 months now to have the job remediated and I am going in circles with them as they continue to promise one thing and then deliver nothing. I just had an exceptional experience with Window Nation's sales professional (Greg L.) Greg coordinated a time to meet with my wife and I at the most convenient time possible for us. He arrived on time and was very clean cut and well mannered. He gave us a very thorough presentation on the company, products, installation, and warranty. Greg brought in several window samples that fell within our budget. He was very patient and answered a multitude of questions. He wasn't trying to force us to make a hasty decision and respected our request to allow us to think about it. He did follow up with a phone call after two days and we still weren't decided based on some other requirements we had with our home. Even though we decided to wait on replacing our windows at this time, we will definitely call Greg in the future for an updated quote.
