We had replaced 5 windows a few years ago and had a horrible experience with another, more widely known contractor that left us frightened to replace the last 14 windows. Ultra Windows has very good reviews online and we actually stumbled across a friend that had used them and only had great things to say. So we took the plunge and signed up with Ultra. AND, they had very competitive prices. I have to say that this was the single best home contractor experience I have ever had in my 35 years of home ownership. (my HVAC guy is also great, in case he sees this) I'd give more stars if I could. The crew run by Jorge was amazing. They were experts. They were careful. The work was as close to perfect as you could hope for. I didn't even need to touch up any paint around the new windows. They treated our home like it was theirs. They carefully prepared and covered everything nearby. They removed the old windows without breaking the glass before removing the old frames. The new windows went in smoothly and the sealing and caulking was beautifully done. And they left the place spotless when they were done. I checked Google, Yelp and the web and confirmed that I was calling the businesses number. I finally got someone to answer the phone. He said he was unaware that his voice mail was full, pretty sad if you are one of those customers who left a message. He gave me his cell number to text him pictures of what I needed done. My job was replace one window assembly on a house, replace all glass on five exterior residential doors and install a mirror on a bathroom wall. He replied the next day with a reasonable cost for the mirror install. Nothing on the other work. I waited a week and sent a follow up text asking him to let me know if he was interested in the additional work. No reply. I pissed away two weeks thinking a reputable glass company was in the process of getting back to me. Having a phone system where your voice mail is full means lots of folks never got a reply. Communicating and dropping the ball leaving a potential customer hanging combined with the initial phone experience speaks more than words about the management team of this company. I made sure my Realtor knew that the vendor she was recommending was making her look bad. She will no longer recommend this business and she called a builder who initially gave her this companies info. She informed the builder about the experience. The builder said he was getting the same info from several of his clients. He is now using a different glass company.

Many of which were mullioned windows (if you pay to have your windows washed - you know the added expense of those!) I received 4 quotes from different companies. Some were higher, one was lower, but I went with Vizion because of the fact they are a family owned Texas based company and they have over 4 decades of experience in the Window Industry. From the initial meeting to the installation, it was a seamless experience, and this was during Covid, when material shortages were creating 8-10 month back orders. They stayed in constant contact and the windows are great. I recommend at the very least, inviting them out to bid on your window project. I don't think you'll regret it. They are as honest as the day is long. And that's hard to find in this day and age.
