Today our team was Chrissy and Cristian, and we especially liked this friendly, professional team. They arrived before 7 a.m. started working right away on our two-story home and 22 solar panels. Crissy recognized our home having been here before, which we realized also. She has been with the company for 14 years, which says something right there. They updated us with a couple of issues with broken seals so we would be aware, which we appreciated. When opening our slider to the backyard, they discovered the screen was torn by the handle, which we knew and hadn't taken care of. Cristian let us know that Windowsmith does screen repair and he could take it to be repaired today and it would be returned in a couple of days. Such good news to us! Not willing to fix 4 broken roof tiles (I have replacements) when they've been the only ones walking on my roof in the last two weeks (solar installed over a year ago, painter finished over a month ago and he, in his professionalism walked me around the house and we inspected the roof), and my daughter saw the cleaner walking the same path as the broken tiles. No cleaner is perfect, and their only response was he's "professional and wouldn't do that." And, I waited too long, 10 days, to check. Unfortunately I let them come clean while I was planning and attending my wife's funeral service. My wife liked them, so 2 stars instead of 1, but such a bummer. The cracks are clearly seen in the pictures, and the only walkable path to the bathroom window given the panels and eave overhang. The other crack is directly under a window. The absolute worst window cleaners I have ever used. They were the most unprofessional business I have ever had to deal with in my life. They were an hour and a half late and they broke our property and then left the scene without cleaning our windows. It was an open and shut case of a "hit and run". He was very apologetic and acknowledged this lack of response should not have occurred and he would be coaching his team accordingly. Rob offered to correct the situation, and I accepted. We rescheduled for the following week. Today, the team arrived ON TIME. They were polite, friendly, and very thorough. They were fully COVID-19 compliant with masks, gloves, shoe coverings, and medical-grade sanitizer to clean everything they touched when the job was done - very impressive! When they completed the job, the glass was so clean that I thought I could walk through it. They did a beautiful job! I have updated my rating and plan to use them again! Prior post: Not dependable anymore and very expensive. I had scheduled an appointment and they still had not arrived. So, I called them and found out they were running over 45 minutes late. It would have been nice and professional if they had called to let me know. I was only their 2nd appointment for the day within a 2 hour window. There are plenty other window cleaning services to choose from that are not as expensive. The only reason I selected Windowsmith was that they did a great job the last time they cleaned my windows and they were on time. I overlook an open area where wild life appears now and then and I get better pictures with clear glass. The patio doors are crystal clear as well as the tracks. Also the skylights in the ceiling. We have a tri-level home with screens that were either missing or falling apart and windows that were filthy. Amanda quoted me fast and scheduled our cleaning for the day and time I wanted. I don't think driving from Concord to Benicia (9.4 miles) and paying a $5 bridge toll, justifies the additional $100 travel fee. The handwritten scope of work said "Paint overspray, entire home, Construction residue, scratches various windows". We just finished a major remodel with all new windows and doors. Some of the windows are high and hard to reach, which is why we hired a professional company. However, when they gave us the bill for $442, the invoice says: "Windowsmith is a scratch free company. We do not use razor blades. We do not remove paint, tape stickers, water stains, construction residue, or any staining". What do you do? Why does the scope say construction residue? Thanks for nothing Windowsmith! For $442 (2 people -2 hours) I now look at my windows that still have stickers and tape on them and have to figure out how to get it off myself.
