-While they did take the screens out, it's hard to tell if they were actually cleaned and they weren't put in properly and were not locked. -They didn't lock any of the windows when they were done and it's difficult for me at my age to lock them. -Lower corners of windows did not get clean. Droplets were left on the windows from the system they used and I was assured they would disappear but days later they are still there. -Hoses were not replaced as they were found and were wrapped with kinks in them. -I found a damp rag on my carpet and returned it to them, and was told "I'm always forgetting those." -After they left I found another damp rag laying on one of my bedroom pillows (that was on the bed!). -I pointed out an existing grease spot on my kitchen window before they cleaned it and it's still there. read more

We recently had WindowWorks out to our home to clean our solar panels. Zach and his crew came well prepared to scale the very steep pitch of the roof two stories off ground. Not only did they do a superb job cleaning the panels, but they were also extremely careful not to damage the roof. In past years we have had other contractors damage the roof tearing out shingles due to slipping and falling resulting in call backs and repairs. The WindowWorks crew was safely tied off at all times and made the work look near effortless. Zach and his team are awesome, they're great at what they do, plus they're responsive, responsible and I love that he only hires Veterans. I thought I might have a leak in my upstairs bathroom, Zach came over and checked out the roof, crawl space and bathroom; he found nothing, but while he was on the roof, he took the time to look my flashing, kick badminton birdies off the roof(!!) and show me pictures of the moss I couldn't see. We have used Windowworks for over 10 years and they have always done an excellent job. We have quite a few hard to reach windows and Zach tackles them with ease. Recently a bird made a mess of one of these hard to reach windows and Zach swung by a few days later to re do the window. Windowworks also regularly cleans our roof and gutters. Window Works came out recently cleaned my gutters and did a complete job making sure the ground was cleaned up as well. They pointed out the moss on my roof which has been an eyesore for a long time in addition to potential harm so I scheduled that right away and they were on time and another complete job with my roof cleaning. These guys do business under several names. Window Works, East Side Window Cleaning. You should save yourself a lot of time and money and pass on them. I bought a Living Social coupon for gutter cleaning in November of 2013. This HAS to be the WORST service company in the Puget Sound Region. The fact that I am wasting this much time to go out of my way to give them a BAD review should be indicative of just how bad they are. I paid the money for the coupon. Then I called and e-mailed to schedule the cleaning. Nothing. I called and e-mailed again. Nothing. Finally they got back with a lame excuse, and we agreed on a date. No show. Called and e-mailed again. Again, nothing. Continued until we finally connected and scheduled another date. I was worried now so I let Living Social know that they had a problem. On the date - again, no show. Called, e-mailed, again, nothing. Now we are coming up on the expiration date of the coupon. Made sure Living Social knew it was a problem. Time passes - finally called Living Social and asked for my money back. Their guy called these people, and they responded along the lines of "OK, (sigh) we'll do it." Like it was putting them out to just clean the gutters. We set a date, and THEN they called back with the bizarre statement - "We already did your gutters". "WHAT?" I said. So I had to go out and take pictures of my gutters full of this past Fall's leaves, etc. and send them to their e-mail address. They responded that the pictures didn't come. (Funny, my wife got them) so three more times I sent them - then called - to confirm - finally they admitted that yes, they had the pictures, and the gutters had not been cleaned, and that they would come on Tuesday. After their President or someone had a meeting in down town Seattle. OK, with me - just come do the work. So on Tuesday - again NO SHOW. I called and e-mailed, again - no response. So Today, finally, almost 6 months after buying the coupon, Living Social agreed to refund my money - and I am free to go hire someone else. read more

I too purchased a Living Social coupon from this company in November 2013 and have spent the last 3 months trying to schedule a gutter cleaning. The owner does not respond to email and never returns phone calls. The few times I have been able to get through, an appointment was scheduled, but then the cleaners never showed up to my home and and never followed through to reschedule. Unlike some of the other reviews here, we DID actually have someone show up, who said he couldn't do the work due to the roof's slope but someone else would come. I normally don't post reviews however after my experience today with this company, I wanted to share this with others that are thinking about hiring them. I had found a Groupon (or Social Living) offer back in January for Roof Moss treatment and had emailed on 1/30 to confirm what the Groupon was for and as well, to make sure Bothell was in their service area. I did not receive a response. Today,( 2/24) I emailed them back asking for a response. I received an email, (which looked like a computer generated) email warning about inclement weather, having to re-schedule if it rained, snowed etc....I replied and said that "This did not answer my original question", Is Bothell in your Service area?.....Quite soon after I sent that email, I received an email from BRITTANY ATKINS: That was rude, argumentative and condescending in her tone. Telling me to go to Google Maps and type in my address. In the meantime, I decided to check them on YELP....which is when I came across the other reviews and thankfully so! Here was my response to Brittany's email: (My Reply to Brittany) Correct--I did want to confirm if that is what the Groupon was for IN addition, I also asked in closing, if Bothell was in your service area.....please re-read my original EMAIL: I saw that you are offering a Groupon and before I purchase I want to make sure I am purchasing the right thing. I have used Windowworks previously and had them come out and do my windows (in and out) again. If you are looking for the lowest cost for this type,of job you would probably go elsewhere. However, if you want this done professionally, on time and excellent work this is the company for you. My wife is extremely picky and she gave "thumbs up". I would give a special thanks to Mike. He was quick but the job was excellent. I would definitely recommend this company and in fact we plan on giving a referral to one of our friends or anyone else looking for professional cleaning and moss protection. I get my windows cleaned now on a regular basis because they do such a good job. I can really tell when I'm due for a cleaning because the windows are visibly dirty. They always show up on time and bill me electronically. If you like clean windows, you will like this company. read more

Horrible, horrible experience! I can only underline the other poor reviews given. I purchased Groupon Deal in January called "Roof Cleaning and Organic Moss Treatment". You think they remove the moss and clean clean the roof, right?? Nope, after several mishaps scheduling and me calling and calling, somebody finally showed up end of May (!!!), sprayed something on the roof and called it good. I call them and they said that there is a second part of the service that I need to purchase (for $300) to complete the job. I asked April (office manager) for somebody in charge to call me back and she said nobody would call. Stay far away and find an ethical business. read more

I waited around the entire day this was supposed to be done and nobody showed up. Since that time three weeks have passed and I made 5 e-mail contacts with the owner and have not heard anything back. The 5th contact was a few hours ago and I said I did not want to respond to the BBB or to Yelp, but I nave not heard back. I already paid for the Living Social deal so I would like to get this resolved. The website lists very many poitive remarks from customers. I just read the review from Dennis C about this company and I have to say I had the same experience. I purchased the LivingSocial deal two months ago. I communicated with Zach Davis, who said he would be in the area Thursday Nov 21. He told us that we didn't have to be home and to leave the voucher on the porch but when we got home that evening, the voucher was still there, not a business card or any sign that they were at our house. I then sent an email and got a response that basically gave some poor excuse that they had systems issues causing them to lose their appointments etc. The email just looks like one of those templates that they send out when they screw up and forget to keep their appointments. Zach Davis didn't even have the decency to contact us let alone reschedule. I have a feeling that it just wasn't convenient for him to drive to our area, or perhaps he had something better to do that day? I wouldn't know because he never responded to my calls or emails. If you look at their website, it states that it is their mission to keep their appointments because they value their customers' time... (Well, my experience was the exact opposite.) Needless to say, we are trying to obtain a refund from LivingSocial at the moment and we absolutely do not recommend this company. read more

Zach was referred to us by a neighbor who is very particular about service, so of course I gave him a call. He washed all the windows in our 9-unit condo building, inside and out. He cleaned skylights, gutters, and glass patio walls, and then returned to do a walk-through of the project. I have given this company several chances to prove me wrong, but I think I gave them too many! I bought a groupon for roof cleaning and organic moss treatment. Before the groupon was purchased, a call was made to the company to ensure what we wanted done would be done. An appointment was set before the holidays in December. The roof cleaner did not show. I called to see if someone was still coming and was told I needed to re schedule. I had to re schedule my appointment several times due to them not showing up for our scheduled appointments. I even asked for the roof cleaner to call me if they weren't going to make it. I never got a call. On top of that, I even offered to schedule the cleaning for Feb or March. The roof cleaner randomly showed up on a day I wasn't expecting them. They did not do a good job cleaning the moss off the roof. Standing in front of my house, I could still see the moss. I discussed the issue with the gentleman about my roof and I got some round about story and then a quote for them to come back and clean the rest of the moss off! After their visit, I made two additional calls within a month of each other to discuss the issue with the owner and was told I would get a call back. It is now almost April and I still have not heard back from anyone. The only positive feedback I have is the appointment setter was polite and I believe she did try her best to convey my issues to the appropriate person. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. I should have done my due diligence and read all these negative reviews first - but I was stupid and in dire need of roof cleaning for our rental house, so I wasted time and money on the worst roof cleaning biz in the region, and still need to have my roof cleaned. I too got a coupon through Living Social and should have followed my gut and requested my money back from LS before the 7 day refund period was up. I bought the coupon on Saturday, then called the company around 2PM on Tuesday. Left a message, repeating my call back number slowly twice. No return call. Called back on Thursday afternoon (business hours), again left a voicemail. By Friday afternoon, I was about to request my Living Social money back, when a woman called and provided a lame excuse of not being able to decipher my phone number - what business doesn't have caller ID these days??? Said the earliest date available was 12/15 - 4 weeks from my first call. She said they would call me if an earlier availability came up, which she said probably would. No call ever. When they were a no-show on 12/15, I called them and got a woman with a heavy southern drawl, who apologized and blamed the scheduling error on a previous employee who was no longer there. She said I wasn't even on the calendar for 12/15 - but that I was on the calendar for 12/17, 8-9AM, she kept asking me if that was alright, and I kept answering that I guess it would have to be. She said they would call a day before to confirm it. I said, you mean tomorrow? I can confirm it now. She just kept repeating that they would call a day ahead. No call yesterday, so I foolishly thought she must have looked at a calendar and finally understood. Today is 12/17. Huge surprise - no call & no show.- I received a voicemail from 864-504-3310 this morning at 9:14AM - the southern woman left a voicemail stating they needed to reschedule due to "Extreme Weather Warning". A missed call - no message - was on my phone from the previous day, which I had no way to identify as Windoworks - presumably to either confirm (disproving my previous thought) or to reschedule - but didn't bother to leave a message. I was irritated and called the 864 area code number back, and spoke to a man. He had no idea what I was calling about - it was clearly a generic call center. I called the Windoworks number and got the southern drawl woman again. She again apologized profusely, saying they couldn't be on the roof with the Extreme Weather Warning. I said it is Seattle, and yes it was raining a little - not a downpour or anything close. I had already checked with King Co Emergency Mngmt folks at the RCECC in Renton, who told me there is a Weather Watch, but only above 1500 feet. When I told her the weather is just a normal Seattle December, she said she couldn't tell because she is in Georgia! She wanted to re-schedule AGAIN - and I was irked! She said she'd have to have the owner call me. So, he called about an hour later and started right off with the LIES. Blamed everything on the employees - said the first one was let go because she would just forward the phone to the answering machine and leave the office the whole day. He said he's had problems with the office staff and has now hired 3 people that man the phones 24 hrs a day (yeah, right!) and that it costs him more than he makes (yeah yeah right!). Not sure why he has little miss southern drawl in Georgia making calls when he has such a fully staffed office. Then said the current employee (southern drawl) should never have given me an exact hour - only a 4 hour window - more excuses. So to continue the story, he said they couldn't do the roof due to the extreme weather - when I pointed out it is normal Seattle rain, he said the treatment would just wash off in the rain. I told him this was the first time that anyone had mentioned needing the weather to be dry for it to be done - for that he blamed Living Social, saying that the fine print said something about "inclement weather". I told him that this weather is exactly what anyone would expect in December - and that set him off. I think he was left with no one else to blame. He decided he didn't want to do business with me, saying that I probably wouldn't be happy with his work (after looking up his business on the Labor & Industries website and finding the business started by Brett Hutton was sold to him in 2010 - Hutton's license expired in 2009 - it appears Davis may not be licensed and if that's the case, then probably not bonded either) I probably wouldn't. The WA Dept of Revenue only shows the Hutton license out of Kirkland that was closed in 2010. Eastside Window Cleaning, which appears to be his parent company, also shows it closed earlier this year.
