I am installing a new deck and needed composite decking to finish the job. I went to the big box stores to see what they had as far as samples, and also to pick out the one I wanted. The big box stores were very average as far as the service. They tried hard, but they just didn't have the experience and knowledge regarding composite decking. I was hesitant to go to Windsor because I had just assumed that the price would be more. I was wrong. The pricing was the same as the big box store. When I arrived at Windsor, I was actually greeted before I went into their showroom. One of the employees, Corey, was outside helping a customer. He finished up and came directly to me to help. I was very appreciative. He gave us a quote on decking, and then it was up to me to fit everything into my budget. After about a month, I was ready to pull the trigger. I went back down to the showroom, and service again was exceptional. This time, Rick helped me. I cannot say enough good about Rick. He was extremely responsive, extremely knowledgeable and very, very empathetic. He gave us lots of good advice, and we purchased our decking there. Unfortunately, the decking that was delivered turned out to be defective. However, Rick was extremely responsive and helpful as far as getting the decking replaced. They came to my house and picked up the defective decking, and then ordered more. Unfortunately, the replacement decking was bad too. Rick went right to work again and contacted the factory as far as a new run. The new decking was delivered today and it is very very good. The customer service is what really sold me at Windsor. The pricing was the same, but Windsor provided incredible service. They went to bat for me when things went south, and Rick did everything possible to make sure things were right. Thank you Rick, Corey, and Windsor. They did extremely well. And one more thing ..... Michael, the delivery person, was extremely pleasant and on the ball. He did a great job too. read more

Came in to get some trim they have a large selection. Customer service is horrible. Spent 15 minutes walking up and down in Isles while watching four employees behind the counter talking about nothing, couldn't be bothered to come help me. It was very quiet. I was the only customer in the store and I could hear everything they were saying. It was not work related. I walked out and went somewhere else to buy. read more

I've never done this but I had to say something. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We were looking to do a deck project and went in to price decking. When we made a selection on something we liked and asked, "How much is this one?", the employee replied, "For you, too much." I don't know who this a**hole thinks he his but that is no way to treat people, especially prospective customers. To boot he said this to my aging blue-collar father who has worked his a** off his entire life and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. I couldn't possibly have a lower opinion of this customer service representative and by extension Windsor plywood. Dude's going to get what he has coming and Windsor should fire his rude a** if they know what's good for them. read more

I showed up and waited in line patiently due to Covid restrictions. They had a sign that read "please wait here for an associate to assist you." My turn was up and an employee asked me "what you need man" from about 15 feet away while still assisting another customer. I said I just needed to check some prices on plywood real quick (they don't list prices online) , before I could finish saying what I needed he cut me off twice and said "on what"...and I replied it depends what the pricing is as I didn't need a specific wood type for the project. The employee shook his head in disbelief that I was there to do such a thing and seemed very annoyed and told me "yeah whatever, that's fine man, they start at $50 so yeah" I told him that if he would be upset about it then I won't go look at the prices. Again this guy proceeded to cut me off and again said "no it's fine" The inconvenience this guy showed towards me being there inquiring about prices so I could possibly spend upwards of $800 with them, completely turned me off and I will never be back again. read more

We went with an idea about toe plates for our kitchen cabinets- Korey was awesome and helped us tremendously!! He matched the stain to our drawer and got us the right width of materials. Super helpful and they have literally everything needed for house finishing!! We also got baseboards and saved us a trip elsewhere!! read more

Make sure you double check your receipts. They can't do simple math. The Customer service is less than desirable too.

I am a single middle aged woman who has done some house flipping, and a lot of DIY projects. Windsor is in a class by itself. All the salesmen are professional woodworkers who will spend as much time as you need finding the right materials and problem solving. The depth of stock is enormous; what's not there can be ordered; and delivery can be arranged for a reasonable fee. They also carry a line of stains that is far superior to what the box stores sell, and will do samples for you on scrap wood. I have no connection to Windsor...I just love them. read more

I've been doing a lot of remodeling of my home. I've compared prices with the box stores and Windsor beats their prices every time. And the wood quality is better. And the knowledge of the salesmen is better. And the selection is far greater. And I've received extra help ripping boards without charge. The sales team knows the product and will make orders for some of my special wood requests. I get a call and the wood is ready to go. They load it into my car. Really, what more can I expect? So I have another project today and I'll go in and pick up some lumber. read more

Came in with an item I had purchased ..did not have the receipt ..all I wanted was in-store credit ..item was in perfect condition had not been opened .. Manager looks me up and down from his office and tells employee to tell me sorry no can-do. I said well OK I'll spend money here anyways ..so asked about a home project I'm working on ..got the lumber sorted out and needed 4 mitre cuts on the wood. I have had this done at Windsor before without any issues... Guy comes back and says sorry no can-do. Told him I'll pay extra. Still no can-do. That's just poor, lazy customer service all the way around. Never setting foot in Windsor again. Went to Save More Building Supply and got it done without any issues. read more

I went in planning to purchase a door today for the main entryway in my home. The gentleman at the counter asked me what I wanted rather curtly and I said I wanted a front door. He then asked me what type I wanted and I said I really don't knowit's my first day out shopping and I was referred here. I was hoping to be educated on making a decision today . The front counter wasn't very busy with customers so I thought I came at the right time and I'd be able to talk to someone. I fully intended to buy a door today. His cold attitude towards me and his "here's a brochure" attitude completely turned me off and I will ask relate this experience to anyone. read more
