Milgard windows have multiple defects from the factory. Scratches, smudges, dis-colorations between the panes. Have had about 14 windows replaced to correct. Very slow CS response/service times. River City Glass is NO HELP for issues. Sales person did not explain several key factors about Milgard windows. read more

I priced out replacement windows from Home Depot and the price was unreasonable for my budget. I had River City Glass come out and they suggested that only the glass needed to be replaced since the vinyl frames were still good. What a cost savings!!! I had a new French door installed where there use to be a slider and I love it. I had glass replaced in several windows along the south/west facing side of my house with low-E glass. The installers were polite, cleaned up after themselves and made sure I was 100% happy. They had to come back a few times because the Milgaurd French door was hard to lock, but they took care of it. Our shower door and solid glass will not stay in place. we had to have service come out twice to line the door up and it is out of alignment again. We also had to caulk the solid side on the bottom within months of installing, it does bounce when wiping. The glass is great it does not spot it must have a shower guard coating. So not sure if I would have an install from them. But may purchase the product. For installation issues 3 stars For product, looks good and fits the space. We are shopping around for a dual-door set now for new construction. read more

Zero stars, horrible company do not give them your business. We tried to get 2 glass shelves from Rivercity for clients of ours and after 8 attempts to install these shelves, the final product was not only with huge gaps, but it was also shattered in one top corner. They left metal shards throughout the condo on 2 different occasions of trying to make these shelves correctly. After finally giving up on them making them accurately and 6 trips of my own driving an hour each way, they refused to give me our deposit back. As a business owner I would be so embarrassed of this kind of quality and service. There are many other glass companies to use, choose wisely and go elsewhere. read more

Didn't show up on the day they scheduled for me, called, said they'd call back in 10-15, never did. I called them the next day. Do NOT work with this flakey and unprofessional group. They were supposed to install a window at my office building and sent 2 workers that were not capable. Instead of offering to send another installer immediately, they said that they would need at least a week. The weather was cold and my tenant was not happy with the situation. When I called to speak with a Manager, I was blown-off and told to just "put tape" on the window. And, no apologies were given. Instead, the various employees wanted to argue with me about the fact I should have put tape on the window earlier - even though no one suggested, nor did the installer do when he came and couldn't figure out how to fix the window. I strongly advise against working with this business until they get more professional employees. read more

Their ONLY bidder (according to them), Shane Hensley, came out on 7/1/2019 to give us a bid on a 26 window replacement job, no small task. He was supposed to email the bid in "the next couple days." Still haven't recieved our bid. I called office 2X...left our ph#'s, confirmed emails. Was told they cannot reach him and have no ph# for him. What a bunch of malarkey! Pretty disappointed in the way this company handled my interview and hiring process. The hiring manager Matt really made me feel like I had the job and he wanted to hire me. Especially After horror stories of the guys he told me he gave a chances to. The interview was a Friday; and he told me he would get back to me with a CALL on Monday to let me know where we stand. I tried to make contact several times. 9 days later the hiring manager Matt got back to me with a very weak and poor Email and told me they hired applicants with glazing backgrounds. I didn't go in and interview for a glazing position. I interviewed for hardware service technician. The way this company handled my interview and hiring process was distasteful at the least. As a previous failed business owner this was disheartening. Don't know about how they do business, but wouldn't recommend. read more

River City Glass has earned 2 stars. They finally got the shower glass correct, and it looks beautiful, but from 2 measuring appointments to final 4th install appointment was nearly 3 months and there were many errors through the process. Additionally, no discounts were offered for the hassles, inconvenience, nor my own repairs I had to make as a result of their work. Mike came out and measured the shower in June. RCG then requested another measure appointment several days later. This time Eric, I think was his name and Mike measured again, incorrectly I might add. Install day 1, now 4 weeks later after measuring, the installer starts and drills into the tile and realizes that a piece of glass is off by 7/8 of an inch. Huge error in this industry. Shower layout is triangular so shorting one pieces of glass puts the next wall in wrong location. So they stop and reorder that piece of glass. I then have Wallflowers, the tile company return and replace a tile that was drilled in the wrong location. A second tile was repaired because replacing was too problematic. So I will forever have that repair in my shower. Install day 2, 2 weeks later, corrected first piece of glass, but now the shower door is warped a good 3/4 of an inch. Factory did not catch the warped quality issue. I handed installers my 6 foot level to verify glass problem. They checked the door and confirmed but no other glass, just reordered the door. Frustrating to us at this point is that we have a new shower we can't yet use. Install day 3, again 2 weeks later, shower door arrives and is installed, but they realize that the rest of the shower glass is warped and both remaining pieces need to be replaced as well. At least they get the shower sealed and we can use it while waiting another 2 weeks for the replacement final pieces of glass to arrive. Install day 4, again 2 weeks later, final two pieces arrive and are installed. We now have a shower that looks beautiful and we can use. Beginning to end was about 3 months. Mistakes, errors and more mistakes. I believe this is a reputable company as far as following through to make things right which is why they get the second star, but we were offered no discount for the patience that we showed through the process or the hassles we dealt. If they discounted and ended with the product I now have, I would at least have been satisfied and gave three stars . The number of appointments in total was 7. The first 2 were measuring. 4 appointments of installing, all appointments are two hour arrival windows. I had one additional appointment with the tile company to come fix damaged tiles. I repaired the ceiling damage myself or you can add drywall repair to that list as well. I am disappointed in the measuring of the shower. Measured twice and got it wrong. I am disappointed in the installer who started drilling into tile before verifying that glass is the correct size, I am also disappointed in the installers for not checking the remaining glass when the shower door was warped, they could have done this with the 6 foot level I handed them. And finally, I am disappointed in their glass provider that does not do quality control before their product leaves the factory. Nor do they seem expedite glass reorders when mistakes are made. The RGC staff was always nice and friendly. I never had an attitude from anyone. There was plenty of apologizing and reassurances they would get it right in the end. I am grateful for that. RGC has a nice friendly staff, but maybe some quality control training is in order. I am unlikely to seek out River City Glass for my glass service in the future. read more

As a business owner of construction company I dont recommend this company. I've had three orders messed up in the past year on order the screens where messed up, the other order we ordered extra wide frams paid extra and windows came standard frams. The last window we ordered was supposed to be painted stars bronze on outside. When picked up it was scratched up very bad. They stated it was the paint company's issue and they had no touch up. So I buy window from River city glass and it's my problem your paint company sucks? Funny how that works. On top of it all the window was suppose tobe three to four weeks out and it took five weeks to receive after sever phone calls and no one could give me a set date until they actually saw it. Very unprofessional and unorganized company who have no pride and just after your money. Buyer be ware!!!! read more

My experience with this company was well beyond poor. I wanted French doors installed. They came out and measured the area for the doors. I paid partial money to them. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get the doors. I waited 3 months and called several times but no one called me back. So I went into the store waited while they helped every man that walked through their door, even men after I came into their store. I was asked which one was my husband but when I told them it's just me the employee walked away and helped a male client. Then when I was the only person left in the store I was told they'd work on it. When they came out to my house they removed the sliding glass door and prep for installation. The installer said he could not install the French doors because it wasn't measured properly. I then waited another 2 months once again I called but no one was available. So I went back into the store to speak with the owner but was told he doesn't want to talk to me. I asked for my money back but was told no refunds. When the installer finally came out he used my father's saw to cut down the door in order to make it fit. The installer pulled the plug on my freezer and then used another outlet and tripped the breaker that went to my outside garage and didn't say anything. He chain smoked and threw his cigarette butts all over my lawn. When I asked him to stop throwing his cigarette butts and put them in a bucket I provided he yelled at me telling me don't cop an attitude with cigarette smokers which I wasn't coping an attitude. I called the store and did get to speak to the manager about the installer and the food in the freezer had to be tossed out. He told me he'd look into it. The manager came to my house demanding final payment and sloughed me off about the food that went bad. Later I found out the French doors were installed backwards. The French doors are a bit flimsy. read more

It all started with the unbelievably rude front counter person. I dropped off a window to be repaired. Thermopane window in a 20 year old, plastic frame. It has been missing the trim plastic on the inside for at least 5 years. The missing trim was commented upon and I asked them to replace it if possible. It was supposed to be ready in a week. A week later, she called to ask if I had picked it up. Seems someone walked off with a window and she thought it might be me. Took over two weeks to get mine back. Installed the window in the house and a week later, the glass fell out of the frame. Took it back and left it again. 10 days later, she called and told me the glass was in and I could bring my frame in. I reminded her they had my frame. She said she would check and call me back. Never called me back. Four days later, I went in to see what was happening and the window was ready to pick up. Now, they wanted to charge me another $80 for fixing their crappy repair job. The receptionist even lied to my face and said I had "agreed to the price" when I dropped the frame off the second time. Since I figured it was a warranty repair, I certainly did no such thing. They finally agreed to split it with me. Got the window home and the silicone they had used was still wet and got all over when I tried to install the window. When a company does a bad repair and then charges you for the warranty repair, there is something very wrong. Additionally, if the trim is essential to keep the glass in, then this should have been made clear from the outset. In addition to taking almost a month and a half to get my window fixed, they did a poor job, charged me for their mistake, and I got stuck with a high heat bill for having a window out, and had to clean up their glass mess when the window fell apart. I doubt it is possible there is a worse glass shop in Spokane. I would recommend finding ANY other place to get your windows fixed. They might quote you a price that is slightly lower than other places but it was far more expensive in time, effort, gas, and stress. read more

I was hesitant to try this company from spotty reviews on their integrity and service but went with them anyway since their quote was much lower than other places in the area. I called to figure out where our glass was after waiting a while and was told it had not been ordered yet. I asked why and it turns out they just forgot...this is really disappointing.
