Maya got stepped on by a horse and Paige told her to shake it off. My first grade daughter's lip was trembling so I went over to comfort her. That same horse ended up bucking her off and Paige didn't have a normal reaction. She, I think, was in shock that it happened. My daughter bawled her eyes out and I assessed to see if she needed medical care. The trainer then wanted Maya to get back up on horse, which took a lot of coaxing but she did it. Horse riding lessons at blue ribbon was something my daughter looked forward to because she had such a memorable experience at farm camp. Her first lesson was probably the best and then it went downhill from there. Each lesson ended n in tears on the way home. Paige was just not the right person for my daughter. Then, to my surprise, Christine the owner reached out to me to offer Maya free farm camp but then she never followed through on her promise. I made the mistake of telling my daughter about it and she was so disappointed that blue ribbon continued to disappoint with empty promises. I thought it would've been a nice opportunity to remedy the damage done but it was only made worse by a lack of communication. She communicated with me via Facebook messenger and so I could see when she read the message too. Pretty pathetic. We used to think so highly of this place and now, we are so gravely disappointed because my daughter's dreams have been shattered. Thankfully, we found a new place for her to go horseback riding with a very patient trainer. Maya's confidence has boosted with the new place to the point it only affirmed how poorly the lessons at blue ribbon were for my daughter. I learned that Paige is no longer at Blue ribbon which is a great thing for the business. The owner also should not make empty promises. We loved this place, until we were slighted and the pain my daughter experienced (both physically and emotionally) are things that could have been prevented. All the hope and joy experienced here were crushed by taking horse back riding lessons here. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe what we feel. Do better blue ribbon!

I would NOT send you children here. My daughter has attended other week long camps this summer and…read moredid great. However this camp was the complete opposite. On Tuesday she got sick with an ear infection, she told her counselor several times Tuesday and also Wednesday and all she did was get an attitude with her and do nothing but ignore the fact that she was sick . My daughter has chronic ear problems to the point of were she needs hearing aides. Finally on Thursday after her complaining for a third day to her counselor she reluctantly said ok to taking her to the nurse. On Thursday she had seen the nurse and I was in contact with her trying to get her medicine order for an inner ear infection that she suffered with for days before being seen for it. I asked several times and for hours to speak with her and they kept telling me I couldn't. Not realizing that my daughter was also asking for 3days to speak with me. Finally after 3 days and several hours I got a call from her. A male and female called and put us on speaker phone so they could hear everything I was talking about with my daughter even after asking for them to take us of speaker and they pretended they did. I knew something was wrong with the way she was stuttering which is a nervous thing she does. She also started crying and only kept saying she was fine and did nothing want picked up. I came to find out that before calling me my daughter was directed on what to say to me. What she was allowed to talk about and what she was not allowed to talk to me about. The whole phone call she was being told what she was able to say to me. She wanted to come home for she did not feel well but I wasn't allowed to know that. Who has the right to make my daughter feel the way she did and to be scared to not only talk to me but to ask them for help. I would never send her here again and or will never recommend this camp to others. It is a disgrace that my child was treated and felt the way that she did while attending camp and not being able to confine on me enough to go and pick her up. The should be ashamed of themselves.

It was her first time being away from home for more than a night, so we were both a little nervous. She said she was homesick for one night and by the next morning she was busy riding horses, trying new things and making new friends! By the last day, she didn't want to leave. She actually cried because she had made such amazing memories and wanted to stay longer. As a parent, it was so heartwarming to see her gain confidence and independence while being surrounded by such amazing staff and a positive environment. Falcon Camp truly gave her a summer she'll never forget, and she's already planning on going back this year for the full summer. Best overnight camp ever!

I will say the older classes seem to have more challenging engagement and coaching as a positive but the younger coaches make carrying enthusiasm for the beginners tough.

Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena. PISA, more colloquially. With indoor courts for a variety of sports and fair prices for groups to rent without breaking the bank, PISA is a great venue to have in the area. My coworkers love to play volleyball... and yes, we do have local parks with sand courts.. but it is so nice to plan out when we will play and not have to vehemently watch radar to see if the weather will hold up. PISA rents a volleyball court for 2 hours for $120 - split across 12 of us... it's a steal! The only reason to ding PISA... and it's not really their fault.... but they are trying to sell the facility and have lost all local sponsors and investments. In the past, you'd see all sorts of local companies with banners on the indoor soccer fields and the volleyball courts; now they only had one banner and you can tell that the investment had been used for upkeep in the past.

The management is willing to hear and listen to your concerns. It is all about the kids. I work in the infant room and from Ms. Mona down to managers they will step into my classroom anytime to help and do what they can.
