Absolutely amazing pizza! Glad to find they reopened! Food: the pizza is absolutely amazing! The cheese is imported from Wisconsin. The sauce is made homemade from four tomatoes. Everything is organic and home made. You know the pizza is quality is great when you eat the pizza and don't get sick. They use quality great ingredients. Charles is the owner and he really goes out of his way to make his clients feel at home. He has excellent customer service skills. I don't give many one stars, but this place earns it. I am sitting here writing this review. It's so bad I don't even want to get a refill on my tea. I had to take my pizza back to the counter to ask where the Italian sausage was. It's under the cheese, almost lunch meat thin sausage, and about one slice of black olive per slice of pizza. I guess the sauce was ok, but the lack of seasoning and cheese just made it a crappy pizza. 22 dollars for two drinks and a large two topping pizza. I wish I checked yelp first. This was our first visit and definitely won't be our last! Amazing, authentic Chicago-style deep dish. We ordered a medium deep-dish with pepperoni, and it was plenty for my husband and I! The Supreme Thin Crust was awful! I've had lots of pizza in Chicago and this was no where even close. There were no toppings. It had this weird flavor. My daughter ordered a medium deep dish MEAT LOVERS. Joke was on us. My ex husband is from Chicago. We know what deep dish is supposed to be and this was far from it. I called to be fair, maybe a mistake was made. The guy I spoke with was completely unapologetic. Insisted his pizza had 12 oz of each meat. It barely had an half ounce of Italian sausage on the whole pizza. I would never recommend this place under any circumstances. 30$ for something we could with Totinos. The meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, the bread was crispy and not soggy, cheese melted perfectly over the meat. Didn't even get to the chips...sooo good. Ordered before and loved the pizza. This time I ordered the meat lovers and there was very little meat. I called and was told that they measure out the meat. I paid $28 for a meat lovers pizza and each slice had 2 sausage crumbles and a slice or 2 of pepperoni. I never did see a meatball. I called to place a carry out order of a small deep dish. They said 40 min to make it. For the size of a small it's kinda pricey, but once you try it you'll see it's made with good quality ingredients and they made it perfect. Non greasy, and great crust. It's kinda sketchy giving out my card info over the phone though. read more

This place has some of the best pizza I've had in the Houston area, and certainly the best Chicago style. One large stuffed pizza fed our whole family. They also sell pies pare baked too, which is great for freezing and cooking later. The owner is very friendly, and has always been great with service. My boyfriend ordered from this place and spent $71.62 ($80 for delivery tip) supposedly a deep dish , he tried a slice and almost vomited, I got home from work and tried a tiny piece and immediately tasted the spoiled tomato sauce !!!! When I arrived there was a sign at the door saying they open at 4:30 I was there a little after that and the doors were still locked. Another sign had the number to order through phone or online , I called and no answer. It just doesn't seem like they respect their business hours. Worth every penny and minute of the wait. The deep dish is deliciously cheesy, and the ingredients taste premium. The crust is obviously freshly handmade and beats any franchise cardboard. I ate a whole large thin crust supreme by myself. The combination of flavors from the perfect combination of toppings was irresistible. Love it! read more

I contemplated whether or not I would leave a review. However, I feel in order for businesses to grow they have to be willing to take feedback and improve. Not just make excuses. I called to place an order after seeing on social media you could call in an order or order online. Whomever answered the phone was pretty rude. Obviously lacked customer service skills. They were automatically trying to give me the web address to order online and I was confused. Why post one thing on platforms and when people call in to order you are too busy? Or we do still take phone orders you just need to call and see if we are too busy or not. Who does that? They do! I've never heard this nonsense before. I was looking forward to trying this spot out since I saw a few people post about it. However, with this terrible customer service I prolly won't even attempt to try this place again. My order total was around $62 for delivery! Not really tripping about that part because I know I would pay more for the delivery. I ordered a "medium" supreme deep dish pizza "thinking" it would be more than enough to feed my wife and I (yeah that's it...no kids or anybody else). We open the pizza and it looks more like a personal size pizza (4 slices to be exact) than anything else. I also ordered a 6 piece garlic parmasean wings with a small garden salad (my typical order at any other pizza place). The garden salad taste like something straight out of a dirty yard with EXTREMELY stale croutons!! I mean if you can't get a SALAD right then what's the point? Lastly, the wings taste like we have a chicken shortage going on. I mean where is the garlic and parmasean? Or hell even the chicken. We had a similar experience as others have mentioned. To me, the pizza is delicious and the owner is terrific; however, when I order a meat pizza, I expect it to have plenty of meat, which wasn't the case when we first tried Windy City Pizza five years ago. Being from Chicago ourselves and truly loving Chicago-style deep dish pizza, we really had our hopes up when we first saw Windy City Pizza. Giving a 2 only because I haven't had the opportunity to actually try this place yet. My boyfriend and I just moved to the neighborhood and we were so excited to try it out. I called to place a pickup order and the owner told me to go to this website to place my order, which of course I thought was off but I did went to it anyways. Once I got to the website it was alllll messed up, the menu was off, the prices were COMPLETELY off from the menu on their actual website. I called again to ask if prices changed and he told me that "there is a lot of bogus menus out there"???? Like dude, i'm on Windy City on 1960, is there more than one? Then I asked if I could just order through him since I didn't want to be charged extra for using an "incorrect location" (that is sarcasm by the way) and he said no because he is too busy to take phone orders... like okay dude. OMG we were so happy to have this place in our neighborhood!! We got calzones one spinach and one Italian meatball. We both moved to Texas from east coast so we missed calzone so much! This place had our hopes high right until we tried to order over the phone outside the door from their menu posted outside (social distancing) and what I assume owner came over and turned the own light off at 7:20 they close at 8, I called and asked if we could still order he said only thin crust I was okay with not ordering except he said he closed at 8 and I said it's only after 7 he corrected me with its 7:20. Alright whatever right? No we start to drive off and he walks out and flips us off! Like seriously? We'll my brother was obviously mad jumped out to tell him he has a pizza truck and he's trying to support other local businesses. We'll that turned quick as the owner (again I assume he's the owner) moves his apron to show his Gun! At that point I don't think he realized he wasn't dealing with children but men that would absolutely not be threatened. He accused us of drinking as I guess an excuse since the guys didn't walk off. I had to get my brother (again pizza truck owner trying to support other pizza places and small business owners) and husband out of there since obviously this was a bad situation. I will literally make sure everyone knows this happened though! He has family laying across his waiting room while this is all happening as well.
