Parry's is one of the best little tap bars I've been to in the Kingwood area. We were looking for a place to watch the NBA Finals, and despite a small hiccup when we first arrived, the experience ended up being outstanding. After being seated, it seemed the waitstaff forgot about us. We went to the bar and politely brought it to their attention. What impressed me most was how the situation was handled. The staff took full accountability, apologized, and even brought us complimentary garlic knots. That's how you run a business. Since it was our first visit, our waiter took the time to recommend some of the restaurant's favorites. The manager also stopped by our table to check on our experience. When we told her how kind and attentive our waiter had been, she surprised us with a complimentary Parry's beer cup and bottle opener. The food was fresh, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. The garlic knots were incredibly soft, buttery, and packed with garlic flavor. The atmosphere was perfect for watching the game, and the customer service turned what could have been a negative first impression into a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back! read more

Honestly, I'm the first one to give a bad review when it's called for. Last night we had an early dinner at Parry's. I had the Bolognese and my wife had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. First off the Bolognese was one of the best I've ever had and I grew up with old Italians who prided themselves in their sauce. Reminded me of home. My wife's sandwich was so big she had to cut it in half. She said it was really good and that they could just serve it without the bun and it would be a hit. Ended up taking half of it home which I finished later in the evening and I have to agree. It was a really good chicken sandwich. And I can't forget the fries. They were great too. He checked in several times while our party was still catching up and was patient for us to get our order in. We started with the Knickerbocker Cheese Bread Appetizer that was a hit around the table! Stopped in for a quick midday lunch. It was a little empty but that means we were seated right away so no complaints since I came to eat and not make friends. Lol! Our waiter did a great job with going over the menu options and even provided a free cheesy bread appetizer since we were first timers. I went in to pick up a pizza and specifically asked for the crust to be made thinner or rolled out thinner. Unfortunately that request was not followed. I spent $42 on this pizza and it was extremely soggy and greasy, so much so that it completely fell apart when trying to pick up a slice. It was basically inedible. My husband and I came in over the summer, shortly after Parry's opened, since I heard they had gluten-free options. We arrived during happy hour, and because there was a long wait, we sat on the bar area. Though 10 minutes passed before a server acknowledged us, he was so apologetic and immediately took our drink orders. The staff thought we were waiting on a table and not sitting there to eat. I know they just opened and were working out the kinks, so it was fine. We had a great view for people watching, and even though the restaurant was a bit loud having the bar open to the outside made it easier for us to hear. I told the server about my gluten allergy, and they went above and beyond to reduce cross contamination. We started with the knickerbocker cheesy bread (the kitchen was a bit backed up, s they advised getting an appetizer) and a margarita. My husband (who can have all the gluten in the world) ordered a beer. We went ahead and ordered our pizza - a zesty lady Liberty. Our cheesy bread was piping hot and tasted incredible. You can't even tell it's gluten-free crust. The marinara sauce was also really good (and homemade). We only had a few slices of our pizza since we were quite full from the appetizer! The manager came around each table to check on things. He was so kind and warm in welcoming guests. We haven't been back in to dine, but we have ordered takeout a few times. Wow talk about phenomenal service, Taylor knocked it out of the park. This was our first time at Parry's and it won't be the last. We had the lunch combo special and it was more than enough food with lots of options to choose from. Of course we had to try an adult drink with our meal, and they didn't disappoint. There are two double sided pages of beers to choose from which put a smile on the hubbies face. The dining room was nice and very clean. I stopped by for a quick lunch at the bar the other day. I ordered a local beer from Back Pew. The beer was cold and fresh. The bartender was helpful and friendly too. I ordered the Nashville fried chicken sandwich with fries. Both were hot and delicious. Was it the best sandwich I've ever had? No but it was pretty good and spicy too. The cold beer helped. I'm in a local group of retirees who eat out for lunch locally once a month. I had suggested we try Parry's as it is new and quite affordable. We called ahead when they opened for lunch and got on the Waitlist for 12:30, I told them their could be up to 14 of us. Arrived a bit before and the friendly staff said they were getting our tables set up. As a cool front had arrived recently I asked about sitting on the patio but they said it wasn't opened up yet for service. In the end they sat us at 2 table close together. I asked if we could push them together into one long table but they said that unfortunately they were bolted to the floor! It worked out and in the end their were only 12 of us, I think 14 would have been a bit crowded. Our server was JJ and was nice and took drink orders which came out quite quickly, most of our group had iced tea but I had a Shiner Octoberfest and it was good. We gave our food orders and waited. I know this place is new but perhaps the kitchen needs a bit more time to get in swing, we had food coming out sporadically. I get it when a different staff member brings out some plates and has to ask who had what but your main server should know this and not keep asking. And some entrees were simple but took a long time to appear. Out of the 12 of us my wife was the last to be served, almost 45 minutes after we were seated. She had ordered the Veggie Pizza and was surprised that it had lots of veggies and pepperoni! As soon as it appeared she asked the server who said the kitchen got it wrong. She left to reorder from the kitchen. The correct pizza finally came out but by then most of us were done eating. My wife did say it was very good, we like a thin crisp crust which is what this had, the veggies were fresh and plenty were there. Eventually our server brought separate tickets and we got out credit cards. Took a while to get them all rung up. My wife figured the mix up was not the fault of the server so tipped the bill. Personally, I think they should have comped the pizza as it was so late in arriving after being made incorrectly. Oh well, we took half home for a second lunch the next day. My score is 4 stars for nice ambiance, a friendly staff and overall good service from our server. Food was good and I enjoyed the beer, they do have a big list of tap and bottle beers. Hopefully the kitchen will improve in their timing and execution of orders. read more

The caesar salad was not good I added Parmesan crusted shrimp and it was basically a sad expensive salad with zero flavor and very little dressing !! Our PTO hosted a spirit night at Parry's last night. It was my first time in & I was very impressed! A full house with lots of kiddos and the staff did a great job managing all the people. It was clean inside and there's a fairly large outdoor seating area. The food was good, too. We don't drink, but if you did this would be a fun place to have a beer & pizza. Vegan options are limited here but you can order the SoHo Veggie w. no cheese. The manager warned the pizza might take a while, but the wait wasn't too bad! Even the 14 in is pretty big so we both brought home leftovers. It is a little pricey so plan accordingly. read more

First trip it took damn near an hour to get food, the second trip no one came to the table and we happen to get the attention of the guy "Kaleb"who was stellar. Happy Hour with my friends! We popped in for a few glasses of wine and had such a great time. I tried the Parm Bites, which are pizza dough tossed in a Parmesan mix and served with marinara. They were okay, but a bit tough. However, I absolutely loved the Lexington Ave Chicken Salad! I went for the Buffalo style, and it was delicious--loaded with garden-fresh mixed greens, hard-boiled egg, fresh avocado, grape tomatoes, hand-grated mozzarella, and crispy bacon. I even added some blue cheese crumbles for an extra zing. The service was pretty decent, and I really enjoyed the lovely outdoor space. Nina was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in.She handled seating smoothly, stayed calm even when it was busy, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. I ordered a large half pepperoni and half veggie, the pizza wasn't hot, it was tough, no sauce I was so disappointed and will never go na k to this place again, people who frequent this place clearly haven't had real New York pizza and don't know any better, I called left my name and phone number asking for a manager to call me back but no one called be, so.
