I've never seen a 4.9 star average anywhere and this place deserves it. I was in the smallest room on the 1st floor. I took a pic of one set of stairs. I travel with a lot of stuff to lug in by myself so I was thrilled with my little room with easy access. It was wonderful. The bed was great. It has 2 very big full pillows and 2 somewhat thinner pillows but I travel with my own pillows so I didn't test them. They look good unless you need very flat or soft pillows. If so bring your own old flat goose down like I do. (:-) I took a LOT of pictures of everything. Especially the breakfast foods. There is no hot breakfast. Just YUMMY stuff. Breakfast is in the lounge and all the rooms are well marked when you walk around. Nobody is onsite. Everything has codes to unlock. You receive a very helpful text with everything you need to know. Keep your phone with you when you leave the room in case someone locks a door that's usually unlocked and you can't remember the code. The LOUNGE is easily found as you wander. If I lived near here I would call this a great place for a ROMANTIC GETAWAY. They even have a wine bottle opener in the lounge. And of course a 2 person jacuzzi can be quite romantic although it would also have been therapeutic for my old bones and muscles all by myself! There are old fashioned touches like DVD players in the rooms and DVD movies to borrow in the lounge. There are also some games and nice game tables and chairs to play games in the lounge. Charming Stay at the Heritage Inn - Twice in One Week!…read more We initially chose the Heritage Inn in Snowflake, AZ based on a Hotels.com search. It looked charming and was reasonably priced--and it more than lived up to our expectations. This is a delightful little inn where each room is uniquely decorated with its own color or theme. There is no on-site staff, but check-in is easy with a code provided, similar to many vacation rentals. Our rooms were tastefully decorated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The guest lounge is modest but well-stocked with snack foods, which also serve as the continental breakfast. It's not fancy, but everything is high quality and thoughtfully presented. One great amenity is the Tesla destination charger. Just be sure to arrange in advance to have it turned on. During our first stay, I didn't ask ahead and couldn't find it, but the next morning the staff quickly responded and turned it on. On our return trip a week later, we booked again last minute. Even though the staff had gone home for the day, they still found someone to come back and activate the charger for us--outstanding customer service! We've now stayed in both the Red Roost and the Blue Denim rooms. Both are adorable, but we slightly preferred Blue Denim--it's downstairs, a bit roomier, and has a comfortable easy chair. The price difference is minimal and worth it, though we wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of the rooms. Conveniently located, the inn is right next door to Streets on Main, where we had a delicious meal. There's also a highly rated Mexican restaurant on the other side that we plan to try next time. We'll definitely stay here again!

They are run down and very dirty from years of use and poor design. But they have been renovating cabins and building new ones to the point where you only need to avoid (at all cost) booking cabin number 5. All the other accommodations are great. The motel portion offers a bed and a bathroom at a very reasonable price. The trail bunkhouses include a kitchenet. And the cabins offer a full kitchen with porches that face the creek. The location cannot be beat. There's beautiful forest all around, a great restaurant with live music (on the weekends) within walking distance, and of course the creek. But best of all is the staff. We have been to the Christopher Creek Lodge on five or more occasions and interacted with many different staff. Every last one of them had been kind and as helpful is possible. If you show up early, they try to get you into your cabin early. If you need something afterhours, they have a phone number to call and they respond. Thanks to the staff the place has a warm, friendly, family feel.

The location also includes a restaurant, a fitness center, a game room and a kids playground. During our stay, we took advantage of the location to take trips to Payson, Petrified Forest National Park, Show Low and Winslow. We used the wonderful pool and hot tub after our daily trips. This is a wet paper towel wiped on a 2x2 foot area of linoleum floor in front of the bathroom. This place should be condemned. In response to management comment: I appreciate the willingness to respond to customer dissatisfaction. You were also a pleasant fellow. HOWEVER, the lack of cleaning wasn't isolated to one room. We had two rooms, and both were filthy. Things looked just like the photos in Jacob C's review from several years ago, which means after the reviews and comments, nothing has changed. THE FOLLOWING ISSUES ARE FOR BOTH ROOMS. Rooms smelled like urine. Edges of carpet had dirt, dead bugs, and lint accumulation. No hard furniture surface was clean, and a wipe with a wet paper towel came back dirty. Microwave had a greasy top and dirty counter area with food crumbs and grease. Inside of refrigerator poorly wiped down, with hair, food crumbs, and grease present. Linoleum floor - well, my photo sums that up, and the entryway linoleum was dirty too, never mopped. Bathroom had been sprayed with disinfectant and wiped with a towel. There was a greasy yellow film on the toilet and sink from the disinfectant that had to be wiped off with a towel. The sink and showers drained poorly, and its not nice standing in 4 inch deep water for your shower. My bathroom had black streaks of what appeared to be mold on the walls. Overall, 1 to 2 hours of deep cleaning per room, and proper maintenance could help turn things around. Sadly, given the several year history of posts about being filthy, I doubt anything will change. To top it off, the beds were very old, completely worn out, and sank deeply in the center, probably 8 to 10 inches, and were uncomfortable.
