It was a bit out of our way, but absolutely worth the drive. It's a clean and well-organized shop. The beer cooler was packed with local and regional craft brews, with a nice variety of styles to choose from. The wine selection was even more impressive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the whiskey selection as well. We asked if they host any events and learned they offer both wine and the occasional whiskey tastings--which immediately gave us another reason to come back. This is clearly the source for craft beer, either to buy and take home or enjoy a glass on premises, even with a few tables outside. While I wasn't able to stay to have something on tap, there were plenty of people there after 5pm on a Monday. With at least four doors of cooler space dedicated to craft beer, the floor was divided up between beer and wine. Specifically on selection, you can be sure to find options from around Ohio and brands with more national distribution. I saw a variety of Mad Tree (Columbus) cans, a few 750 mL bottles from Rockmill Brewery (Lancaster) and since it was summer I got a six-pack of Revolution's (Chicago) rosa hibiscus ale. The Beverage Source doesn't look like much on the outside, but the convenient location off highway 16 makes this an obvious option if you are in the area, be it for a night or simply passing through.

They charge a fee if you use a card: their prices are the same as other stores who do not charge a fee to use a card. Anyways, I used a debit card and found out, after, I was charged a fee. They did offer to refund my charge and I could pay with cash but I did not have enough cash on me. In my experience, this is the ONLY store I have EVER been charged a fee for using a debit card or credit card. It just feels greedy.

Best selection of craft…read morebeer, great staff, well organized shelves, interesting single bottles for sale, etc. I'm not sure when things started going downhill here, but I would guess when they got sold to a new owner. They still have a huge selection of craft beer, but these days 90% of the beers on their shelves don't have a price on them. This is a critical issue with craft beers when a 6 pack could be $12.99 or $24.99 depending on the type of beer! They need to go back to properly labelling their goods because it's much harder to shop here now without the price tags.
